Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (thumb) admitted he has played with a broken thumb since Week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden wants to limit RB Giovani Bernard's workload in the second half of the season in order to keep him fresh and healthy. In the last four games, RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis has 60 touches to 52 for Bernard. "To say we're going to give the ball to Gio 25 times each week is kind of unrealistic," Gruden said. "He needs spelling. He needs a bigger back in there like BenJarvus to take 10, 12, 15 carries a game."
Fantasy Tip: Expect the status quo to continue in Cincy as far as touches are split between these two backs. Bernard's currrent workload is enough to make him fantasy-relevant on a weekly basis, but don't expect him to become the bell-cow running back suddenly over the Law Firm.

Fri, 27 Sep 2013 11:25:06 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 27, and is probable for Week 4.
Fantasy Tip: It looks like Green-Ellis is a full go for Week 4. Green-Ellis is still technically listed as Cincy's lead back, but expect Giovani Bernard to continue to cut into his workload. Consider the Law Firm a No. 3 RB or flex moving forward.

Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 26.
Wed, 25 Sep 2013 13:27:34 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Fantasy Tip: This appears to be a new injury for the Law Firm, but one that probably isn't very serious. Still, this doesn't help his cause, as Giovani Bernard is expected to start cutting into his share of the workload more often as the season progresses.
Mon, 23 Sep 2013 08:01:03 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 10 rushes for 29 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, while RB Giovani Bernard had 10 carries for 50 yards and a score. Bernard also pitched in four catches for 49 yards.
Fantasy Tip: We feel Bernard elevated himself even more in Week 3, and he has proven to be more effective than Green-Ellis. Bernard has the edge right now in fantasy value. Green-Ellis will still get looks, but his grip on the featured role has vanished.
Fri, 20 Sep 2013 06:49:53 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard's role is expected to grow in the offense. Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said Bernard and BenJarvus Green-Ellis should be closer to a 50-50 split in the coming weeks. Gruden feels more comfortable opening the playbook more now that he knows Bernard can handle pass protection.
Fantasy Tip: We alluded to this earlier in the week, and it looks like Green-Ellis' stock is decreasing. Bernard should be owned in most formats, and he could potentially take over as the featured back before the season ends.
