Driver David Stremme will attempt to return to the Sprint Cup Series with the No. 30 car from Inception Motorsports, according to SceneDaily.com's Bob Pockrass. Stremme will make his first appearance April 30 at Richmond International Raceway. Steve Lane will serve as the crew chief.

Front Row Motorsports owner Doug Yates was fined 150 owner points Wednesday, June 9, and threw crew members were suspended on the No. 38 team for infractions during last week's Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway, according to The Associated Press. Crew chief Steve Lane was fined $1,000 and suspended, car chief Richard Bourgeois and tire specialist Michael Harrold were suspended for the next 12 events. Driver Travis Kvapil was docked 150 driver points after finished 22nd in the race.

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Front Row Motorsports hired crew chief Steve Lane Tuesday, March 24, and is still intent on running a full Sprint Cup schedule this season. Driver John Andretti is currently 33rd in owner points but is unlikely to run the full schedule.

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates driver Dario Franchitti has not decided what he will do now that the No. 40 team has stopped operations. He said he would love to get back running in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with the No. 40 car and crew chief Steve Lane.
