Carr said Claiborne looks good and confident, while defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said Claiborne has had a solid camp and it's his time to shine. Additionally, Claiborne believes he's stronger than ever at this point in his career. He's bulked up to 190 pounds and can bench 225 pounds 11 times.

Dallas Cowboys CB Brandon Carr is expected to be released barring a pay cut to provide salary cap flexibility, according to sources. Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent CB Adam Jones is a potential offseason target if Carr is released. If Carr is released before June 1, they would add $6.4 million in salary cap space. If Carr is released after June 1, it would add $9.1 million to the salary cap space, but that money couldn't be spent until Carr is off the roster.
