Saints | Connor Barth gets released |
Sun, 04 Sep 2016 00:25:08 -0700
New Orleans Saints PK Connor Barth was waived Saturday, Sept. 3.
Fantasy Tip: This means Kai Forbath will be New Orleans' kicker to start the season. He went just 9-for-13 with the Saints last year, however, so even kicking behind that offense doesn't give Forbath a ton of fantasy value until he proves more reliable.

Thu, 19 May 2016 17:07:41 -0700
The New Orleans Saints are expected to sign free-agent PK Connor Barth (Buccaneers), according to a source.

Mon, 02 May 2016 12:03:19 -0700
Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Connor Barth was released Monday, May 2.
Fantasy Tip: It's been a rough couple of days for Barth, who has officially been supplanted by rookie kicker Roberto Aguayo. View Aguayo as a lower starting fantasy kicker for now.

Buccaneers | Connor Barth expected to be cut |
Mon, 02 May 2016 10:46:31 -0700
Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Connor Barth is expected to be released Monday, May 2, because the team added PK Roberto Aguayo during the draft.
Fantasy Tip: Barth probably would have a chance to find a job with another team but is not one of the better kickers for fantasy owners.

Buccaneers | Connor Barth returns to Tampa |
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 07:39:28 -0700
Free-agent PK Connor Barth (Buccaneers) has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tuesday, Oct. 6, as he beat out other kickers to replace PK Kyle Brindza. Brindza was released.
Fantasy Tip: Barth isn't a good option at kicker with the state of the offense right now, but he could be a matchup play later.

Texans | Houston auditioning kickers |
Tue, 29 Sep 2015 05:50:24 -0700
Free-agent PKs Nick Novak (Chargers), Kai Forbath (Redskins), Chris Boswell (Giants), Connor Barth (Buccaneers) and Giorgio Tavecchio (Raiders) are auditioning for the Houston Texans Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to sources. Texans PK Randy Bullock missed a 43-yard field goal and an extra point during the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Tip: Bullock is clearly on the hot seat, but the tryout may also just be a means of motivating the incumbent, too. Seasonal players will want to take a wait-and-see approach and stay the course until there is an official announcement. The Texans are averaging two field goal attempts per game through the first three weeks of the season, and the Houston defense projects favorably most weeks, so the job has value, especially in the right matchups.

Fri, 04 Sep 2015 15:10:39 -0700
Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Connor Barth was released Friday, Sept. 4, while PK Patrick Murray (undisclosed) was waived/injured.
Fantasy Tip: Kyle Brindza will be the team's kicker this season after they traded for him earlier in the preseason. He probably will not be more than a bye week replacement for owners.

Free-agent PK Connor Barth (Broncos) agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wednesday, Aug. 26, on a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent PK Connor Barth (Buccaneers) to an undisclosed deal Tuesday, Nov. 25, after waiving PK Brandon McManus, according to a source.

Broncos | Connor Barth to visit Denver |
Mon, 24 Nov 2014 13:39:23 -0800
Free-agent PK Connor Barth (Buccaneers) will visit the Denver Broncos Tuesday, Nov. 25, for a kicking audition, according to sources.
Fantasy Tip: As is the case with Jay Feely, Brandon McManus has struggled since taking over for Matt Prater earlier this year. If signed, Barth would become a viable starter in one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL.

Buccaneers | Coach discusses kicking situation |
Thu, 18 Jul 2013 10:27:59 -0700
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano discussed how losing PK Connor Barth (Achilles') could affect the team's plans in 2013, saying Barth was a weapon with longer field goals. Schiano said he is not sure if PK Lawrence Tynes will be as effective from those distances. "I thought Connor was a weapon in the longer field goals," Schiano said. "He was exceptional over 40 yards. We'll have to play that out. I have not coached Lawrence at all. So, I couldn't tell you. I just look at the numbers. But we'll see. That'll all play itself out."
Fantasy Tip: Even if Tynes does not have the same distance Barth did, he is still a safe option for the Buccaneers and fantasy owners after converting on 33-of-39 attempts in 2012.

Morris added, "It's nice to see him grow up and mature and do things well. You definitely have to take him into consideration for the future. He's a young kicker with a strong leg."
