Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations and general manager John Elway said he plans to sit down with the representatives for head coach John Fox at the NFL Scouting Combine this weekend to discuss a new deal. Denver Broncos PK Matt Prater (illness) missed all three days of practice this week due to the flu, but Broncos coach John Fox anticipates he will make the trip to Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Jan. 26. "We sent him home," Fox said after Saturday's practice in 54-degree weather and sunshine. "He's going to be fine for the game. Hopefully he'll feel much better tomorrow morning as we prepare to fly to New Jersey."

In his second season in the NFL, Denver Broncos DL Malik X. Jackson leads the team with 11 tackles for lost yardage and 15 quarterback hurries. "I think he has improved tremendously," Broncos coach John Fox said. "He and (rookie) Sylvester Williams have both improved a lot. Our young guys have gotten more time, some of it due to injuries, some of it due to their getting better. They improved a lot in practice and both have stepped in and done a very good job."
