The Jacksonville Jaguars could show interest in Marc Trestman, in the opinion of Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times Union. Trestman and head coach Gus Bradley have become close over the years, so he could be at the top of the team's list of candidates.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Storm Johnson will get a bigger role in the team's offense now that RB Denard Robinson (foot) will miss the remainder of the season. "I think it's been based on the last couple weeks of practice. That's what I've been talking to him about. It wasn't because of injury that you're getting this opportunity. We were talking to him about it anyway. He's earned it," coach Gus Bradley said.
Fantasy Tip: If you're looking for a last-second purchase for Week 15, hold off. The Jaguars face the Baltimore Ravens' defense, so Johnson may help you better after this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has a great attitude and is showing signs of improving in practice, according to head coach Gus Bradley. "I go back to that individual period that has been really helpful to him," Bradley said. "He just had another one today. I think those periods and going against the defense to see the different looks. The challenge is sometimes we're telling him where to look to go with the ball. Maybe he doesn't follow his progression but his footwork, his throws and things like that he's doing a nice job."

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (hamstring) will be on the field for around 15 offense snaps during the third preseason game, according to head coach Gus Bradley.
Fantasy Tip: Shorts has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but it is a good sign that he will be on the field during the preseason game. He probably should be considered a No. 4 wide receiver in most leagues but could have the chance to perform like a No. 3 receiver.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne will start in the team's Week 1 game, according to head coach Gus Bradley.
Fantasy Tip: This is really not a surprise as it has been the likely outcome of the this quarterback competition. Henne is a low-end backup quarterback in all leagues.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars OT Austin Pasztor (hand) will have his hand injury reevaluated in about a month, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Bradley said the team will bring in others while Pasztor is out.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Toby Gerhart (leg) missed the team's scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 2, with leg tightness, according to head coach Gus Bradley.
Fantasy Tip: The injury sounds very minor at this point so continue to draft Gerhart as a solid RB3.

Although the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff is still high on QB Chad Henne, coach Gus Bradley said QB Blake Bortles could start a preseason game. "It would be late in the preseason if he did, and we'll see how things go," said Bradley. "We're really excited about Chad and what he's going to do so we'll see how it goes with him until that fourth preseason game."
