Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray is getting support from QB Tony Romo to stay with the team long term. Romo said he is consistently talking to owner Jerry Jones about bringing him back in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Murray may be the odd man out if the team chooses to re-sign or franchise tag Dez Bryant this offseason. If Murray does indeed land somewhere else, his fantasy value could dip running behind a different offensive line.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo could play for another five years, according to owner Jerry Jones. "I think it's realistic for him to play five more years," Jones said. "I'm aware of his back. Only God knows what is in store for his back. I've seen backs out there that you wouldn't believe how they look on the MRIs and how they look on X-rays.
"If you're concerned about his future, then look at his age, and you might say, boy, you need to be thinking about a time when he doesn't play. I don't look at it much differently than that with his back, because there have been three very different types of injuries that have caused him to miss games with his back."
Fantasy Tip: Obviously the big question with Romo will be his back moving forward, but it may be optimistic to think that Romo would be able to last that long with the injury history he has had.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admits it was tough to pass on QB Johnny Manziel in the NFL Draft. "Well, it was," Jones said. "Yes, it was. First of all, I couldn't believe he had fallen there. And secondly, we had spent a lot of time, I'd spent a lot of time. He's the kind of player that can be that kind of difference-maker. There's no doubt in my mind that he'll be a successful player. We have in Romo what I consider to be the better quarterback. But there's also the future, there's also insurance if you don't have him. "There's no question when you are where we are on the cap, even though we've had some new cap space added, and you have a defensive player that's your highest paid defensive player, and he hasn't been on the field much the last two years, that has to be considered," Jones said. He was not what I wold call an older man. Having said that, it tore his world up so he immediately left to be with his family. We knew he wasn't going to play this week and that's besides the point. The Cowboys were held to 193 yards of total offense in their Week 10 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The team's defense ranks last in the league with an average of 439.8 yards per game. Jones believes the team needs to play more man coverage on defense. "You need to probably man up more in the secondary than we've been doing, rather than relying on zone," Jones said. "Because if we can't get pressure and we're relying on the traditional zone as you might mentally picture it, then that's a recipe for what happened to us the other night."

And every day is important, as a coach, as a player we are trying to get ourselves better each and every day to become the team we want to be."

First-rounder and not starting? I know coach wants there to be competition and should be, and we all know that's the way it is." Garrett had only said he hoped to create competition at the position.
