Chicago Bears RB Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring), QB Jay Cutler (thumb), DB Jacoby Glenn (undisclosed), DL Eddie Goldman (ankle), RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) and LB Danny Trevathan (thumb) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 29. DL Jonathan Bullard (toe), DBs Harold Jones-Quartey (concussion), Sherrick McManis (hamstring) and Tracy Porter (knee), OG Josh Sitton (shoulder) and LB Willie Young (knee) were limited in practice, while LB Jerrell Freeman (ribs), OG Kyle Long (shoulder) and DL Mitch Unrein (knee) participated in full.

Colts | Nate Irving could replace Jerrell Freeman

Indianapolis Colts LB Nate Irving could be the favorite to replace Chicago Bears LB Jerrell Freeman as a starting inside linebacker. Irving only played in eight games last season with knee and wrist injuries, however. LB Sio Moore could also step in to help replace Freeman.

Free-agent LB Jerrell Freeman (Colts) agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal with the Chicago Bears, according to a source. The deal includes $6 million in guaranteed money and $2 million more in incentives.

The Indianapolis Colts are highly unlikely to use the franchise tag this year because they don't have any marquee players in line for free agency. PK Adam Vinatieri, TE Coby Fleener and LB Jerrell Freeman are their main free agents, and they are all replaceable.

Indianapolis Colts OT Jack Mewhort (illness), S Mike Adams (ankle), CB Darius Butler (hip, knee), TE Jack Doyle (toe), LB Jerrell Freeman (hamstring) and LB Erik Walden (foot) are listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the Tennessee Titans. S Colt Anderson (ankle), S Winston Guy (hamstring, shoulder) and LB Sio Moore (knee) are listed as questionable, and LB Trent Cole (concussion) and QB Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney) have been ruled out for Week 17. Mewhort, Adams and Butler practiced in full Friday, Jan. 1. Doyle, Freeman, Walden, Anderson, Guy and Luck were limited in practice, and Moore and Cole did not practice Friday.
