Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall drives in three more

Mon, 27 Jun 2016 19:45:32 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall went 2-for-4, including a three-run home run, against the Atlanta Braves on Monday, June 27. Chisenhall also finished 4-for-4 with a homer and three RBI versus the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, June 26.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall, who is hitting .295 with four home runs and 21 RBI, has knocked in eight runs over his last four games and could be playing his way into mixed-league relevancy before long. He only has 10 strikeouts in 77 at-bats this month, further suggesting he is seeing the ball well right now. DFS players may want to take advantage of this hot streak and there's a decent chance it could continue tomorrow as the Indians face the inconsistent Matt Wisler.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall fills up the box score

Sun, 26 Jun 2016 14:11:21 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall scored twice and finished 4-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, June 26.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall has received most of the starts in right field since Marlon Byrd's suspension and is in the midst of a red-hot five-game stretch at the moment, batting .450 with two triples, a homer and six RBI. He's too streaky to depend on in weekly leagues, but DFS players may want to see if they can catch lightning in a bottle again versus the Atlanta Braves on Monday.

Indians | Tyler Naquin, Lonnie Chisenhall resting

Sun, 19 Jun 2016 07:54:51 -0700

Cleveland Indians OFs Tyler Naquin and Lonnie Chisenhall are not in the starting lineup versus Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon Sunday, June 19. OF Rajai Davis will lead off and play center field, while OF Michael Martinez bats ninth and plays right field.

Fantasy Tip: Davis should be viewed as a viable outfield option in all fantasy formats today. He is batting .287 at home and is hitting .267 versus left-handed pitching this season. Martinez is 8-for-20 at the plate this month and is batting .467 at home through 15 at-bats, making him a potential value play for daily fantasy games.

Indians | Yan Gomes, Lonnie Chisenhall resting

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 15:05:54 -0700

Cleveland Indians C Yan Gomes and OF Lonnie Chisenhall are not in the starting lineup Monday, June 6. C Chris Gimenez is doing the catching and hitting eighth, while OF Tyler Naquin starts in right field and is batting ninth against Seattle Mariners SP James Paxton.

Fantasy Tip: Gimenez is right at the Mendoza Line (.200) on the year and is a desperation daily pick to save salary cap space. Naquin has homered in three straight games and could be a popular sleeper selection while he's hot, but his daily upside is limited hitting low in the batting order.

Indians | Marlon Byrd in Sunday's lineup

Sun, 29 May 2016 07:20:14 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Marlon Byrd will bat eighth and play right field against Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman Sunday, May 29. OF Lonnie Chisenhall is not in the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Byrd is batting .224 with two home runs and 10 RBI over the last four weeks and is hitting only .229 versus right-handed pitching in 2016. He's not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall drives in two

Wed, 25 May 2016 20:23:46 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall went 2-for-4 with two RBI against the Chicago White Sox Wednesday, May 25.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall has recorded four hits in his last three games after going hitless in his previous five games. Owners in most leagues probably can avoid Chisenhall since he is hitting .256 with zero home runs so far this season.

Indians | Three Indians regulars sitting

Thu, 19 May 2016 14:43:42 -0700

Cleveland Indians 1B Mike Napoli (rest), OF Marlon Byrd (rest) and C Yan Gomes (rest) are all out of the lineup Thursday, May 19. 1B Carlos Santana is batting cleanup in place of Napoli, OF Lonnie Chisenhall is in right field batting sixth replacing Byrd, and C Chris Gimenez is behind the plate with Gomes out and batting eighth versus Cincinnati Reds SP Tim Adleman.

Fantasy Tip: Napoli is only out of the lineup because it's under National League rules, so Santana will take over first base duties this evening after sitting in last night's contest. His value goes up a notch due to his power potential. Meanwhile, Chisenhall and Gimenez are both inconsistent at the plate and probably not worth deploying in daily leagues.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall back in lineup

Tue, 17 May 2016 11:15:44 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall is back in the starting lineup and is hitting seventh against Cincinnati Reds SP Alfredo Simon Tuesday, May 17. OF Marlon Byrd moves to left field and is batting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall contributes very average stats across the board and is a lukewarm fantasy option everywhere. He figures to play right field against right-handers. Byrd figures to move around between the corner outfield spots with Michael Brantley back on the DL, but he, too, is more of a low-end sleeper play in daily formats.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall back, Cody Anderson down

Tue, 17 May 2016 10:40:00 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall was activated from the bereavement list Tuesday, May 17, and SP Cody Anderson was optioned to Class AAA Columbus in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall has a mediocre .255/.296/.333 slash line with no home runs and three RBI this year, and he won't contribute considerably in any one category. Save him for cavernous mixed and AL leagues for depth. Anderson (7.99 ERA, 1.77 WHIP) was miserably bad in his six starts and can be dropped anywhere he was owned. The return of Chisenhall could hurt Marlon Byrd the most, with the two probably entering into a platoon in right field.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall returning Tuesday

Mon, 16 May 2016 15:24:43 -0700

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall is expected to be activated from the bereavement list prior to the game against the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday, May 17.

Fantasy Tip: Through his past 416 plate appearances dating back to the beginning of last season, Chisenhall has an underwhelming .247/.295/.367 slash line. He is nothing more than a mediocre option in cavernous mixed and AL-only formats.
