Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon will play against Cincinnati Reds Monday, May 25, after OF Carlos Gonzalez (illness) was scratched from the lineup. Blackmon will bat first in the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Blackmon ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) was scheduled to receive the day off but will play with Gonzalez out. He is hitting only .237 this month but has hit four of his six home runs in May. Owners on FantasyScore could consider using him in their starting lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should look for an update on Gonzalez ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) after the game to see if he will miss multiple games. Blackmon ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) was scheduled to sit out the game but will take Gonzalez's spot in the lineup and could be a solid starting option.

Fantasy Tip: Blackmon ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) hit all three home runs at PETCO Park in the last two games of the trip. Now back at Coors Field, expect Blackmon to continue his strong surge at the plate, and he is a nice mid-priced target for FantasyScore players, especially while he is hitting well and when facing a favorable pitching matchup.

A left-handed hitter, Blackmon will have the upper hand against Padres RHP Brandon Morrow, as he is hitting .314 off righties so far this season. Stubbs last year hit an impressive .328 with seven home runs against left-handed pitchers in 131 at-bats. He also has five hits in 12 career at-bats against Wood in his career. Consider him a sneaky good play today.
