Pirates | Josh Harrison's injury not serious

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 10:47:09 -0800

Pittsburgh Pirates 3B Josh Harrison's (ankle) ankle injury does not appear to be serious, but he was taken out of the spring training game Wednesday, March 4, as a precaution.

Fantasy Tip: Harrison probably will receive a few days off but has plenty of time to prepare for the regular season. He will be the everyday third baseman but qualifies for several positions in fantasy, which helps his value. He probably will not be able to repeat his 2014 season and could be a risky option if owners are looking for a big season from him.

Pirates | Josh Harrison leaves with ankle pain

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 11:35:33 -0800

Pittsburgh Pirates 3B Josh Harrison (ankle) left the spring game Wednesday, March 4, with left ankle pain.

Fantasy Tip: Harrison could very well be a one-year fantasy baseball wonder, but his multi-positional eligibility could be his saving grace, for now. Harrison doesn't walk much at all, and an inflated BABIP likely carried him to a breakout year in 2014. Don't count on it again, and don't overvalue him at third base. Keep an eye on his ankle injury, too.
