Updating a previous report, Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (neck) said his neck bothers him when he swings, but his ankle is better. He aded he would be available to pinch hit Friday, Sept. 19, if needed.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is batting second in the lineup for the first time this year Monday, Aug. 11. Manager Bob Melvin noted that Reddick is seeing the ball well at the plate and using all fields. He's batting .328 since coming off the disabled list July 22. C Stephen Vogt, who is 5-for-14 with two homers after going through an 0-for-21 slump, is hitting sixth. 1B Brandon Moss remains at cleanup despite being in a 2-for-28 funk lately.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick is red hot since the end of July. He's been a popular waiver-wire addition in recent weeks because of it. If he's still out there in your league, don't wait any longer.

Fantasy Tip: The Athletics will get creative with the center field spot with Coco Crisp (neck) ailing. Yoenis Cespedes can also man center field, and youngster Billy Burns is expected to start there against lefties.

Oakland Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes' (thumb) X-rays were negative after leaving the game Wednesday, July 23, with a right thumb sprain. He hit two homers in the game before leaving.

Fantasy Tip: This is still an injury that can wreck a swing and require a DL stint. Monitor his status, but expect Josh Reddick and Stephen Vogt to see more ABs in the interim.
