Sun, 26 Jul 2015 12:49:53 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick will bat cleanup and play right field against San Francisco Giants SP Tim Hudson Sunday, July 26.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is hitting .319 versus righties this season and .313 over the past week, making this a favorable matchup for him.

Athletics | Jake Smolinski playing right field

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 12:08:42 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Jake Smolinski will bat fifth and play right field against San Francisco Giants SP Madison Bumgarner Saturday, July 25. OF Josh Reddick is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Smolinski ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is 7-for-17 (.412) this month with two home runs and seven RBIs and is hitting 110 points better against lefties than righties this season. Given his recent production combined with his spot in the batting order, he could be a decent FantasyScore sleeper pick this afternoon.

Athletics | Josh Reddick out vs. Blue Jays

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 15:24:29 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is not in the starting lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday, July 22. OF Mark Canha is starting in left field and batting eighth against Toronto SP Felix Doubront Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Reddick ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday. He has an uninspiring .221/.239/.298 slash line over his past 29 games, and his seasonal value could be in a sharp decline. Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has a .151/.235/.164 slash line against lefties despite owning the handedness advantage. FantasyScore players should aim higher Wednesday.

Athletics | Josh Reddick batting eighth

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 11:39:01 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick will bat eighth against Minnesota Twins SP Tommy Milone Sunday, July 19.

Fantasy Tip: It's surprising to see Reddick ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) starting against a left-handed pitcher, given his struggles versus southpaws. He is 12-for-73 (.164) with one home run and nine RBIs against lefties this season, so FantasyScore owners should avoid using him today.

Athletics | Josh Reddick out vs. Yanks

Wed, 08 Jul 2015 11:14:28 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is not in the lineup against New York Yankees left-handed SP CC Sabathia Wednesday, July 8. OF Jake Smolinski is starting in right field and hitting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Smolinski hit just .133 (8-for-60) with a home run and six RBI for the Texas Rangers this year. It'll be his first action for the A's. He's a low-end outfield play as a deep sleeper tonight against Sabathia.

Angels | Halos tried trading for Josh Reddick

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 15:26:11 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick was a trade target of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before general manager Jerry Dipoto resigned. The Angels even tried to get the Boston Red Sox involved in the potential deal.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) has been a very consistent performer for his fantasy owners this season. A trade could still happen before the deadline at the end of this month, and his value would likely rise with a trade away from pitcher-friendly O.co Coliseum.

Athletics | Josh Reddick not in lineup Sunday

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 11:34:53 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is not in the starting lineup against Seattle Mariners SP Mike Montgomery Sunday, July 5. OF Sam Fuld will play right field and bat ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) appears to be out of the lineup because he is only batting .159 against southpaws this season. Fuld ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is hitting .210 with no homers and 13 RBIs and is not a great FantasyScore option.

Athletics | Josh Reddick sitting vs. lefty

Tue, 30 Jun 2015 16:31:59 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is not in the lineup against Colorado Rockies left-handed SP Jorge De La Rosa Tuesday, June 30. OF Sam Fuld is starting in right field and batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Fuld ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is another lefty stick but has much less offensive firepower than Reddick. We don't recommend Fuld in any daily lineups tonight.

Athletics | Josh Reddick sitting vs. southpaw

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 15:31:26 -0700

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers left-handed SP Wandy Rodriguez Wednesday, June 24. OF Sam Fuld is starting in right field and hitting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Fuld ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is hitting only .213 (33-for-155) this year with no home runs and 10 RBI, and he should be avoided in all daily contests, especially while hitting ninth in the order.

Athletics | Three A's like facing Rangers

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 10:06:44 -0700

Oakland Athletics OFs Josh Reddick and Mark Canha and C Stephen Vogt have combined to go 29-for-73 (.397) with eight home runs and 29 RBI against the Texas Rangers this season.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick ($4,300, 8.6% of cap), Canha ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) and Vogt ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) have all enjoyed hitting right-handed pitchers in 2015. Reddick has been in a bit of a funk of late, but he and Vogt remain acceptable plays in tonight's matchup. Make sure Canha is in the lineup for Oakland before considering him as a value pick.
