Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports former Jacksonville Jaguars PK Mike Hollis is looking to make a comeback now with the start of the season on the horizon. "I've been kicking, maybe, once a week," Hollis said. 'I got a call from the Titans (Thursday), to see where I was. I'll remain in shape. I'll stay ready." Hollis, who had his career cut short by three back surgeries, was released by the New York Giants last March.

Updating a previous report, New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel still has not decided who will win the place kicking duties for the team in 2003. The two candidates are PK Mike Hollis and PK Matt Bryant. "It's going to be a good competition," Fassel said. "You wish you could put them under the fire more, and that's why I've done the field goals after practice (which determine whether or not the team is going to run sprints), so you get asense who would be best under pressure."

Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants PK Matt Bryant and PK Mike Hollis are competing for the placekicking job in training camp. Bryant hit 4-of-6 field goals missing from 38 and 43 yards out while Hollis made 6-of-7 field goal attempts with a miss from 38 yards out. Head coach Jim Fassel knows it will be a tough decision to make by the end of camp. "I have a feeling when it comes down to it, it will be kind of a flip of a coin, anyway," Fassel said.
