Giants | Brandon Crawford could miss series

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 18:49:05 -0700

Updating a previous report, San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) is expected to miss the entire weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals. "It doesn't surprise me," manager Bruce Bochy said. "I've seen these things linger for three, four weeks. Sometimes it's a week. This was a mild strain. We think he'll be OK after this series."

Fantasy Tip: Expect INF Ehire Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) to fill in for Crawford at shortstop, although he provides little else other than salary cap relief in FantasyScore.

Giants | Brandon Crawford remains out Friday

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 17:06:39 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) remains out of the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Friday, Aug. 28. INF Ehire Adrianza will bat eighth and play shortstop.

Fantasy Tip: Remove Crawford ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) from all fantasy lineups. Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is just 1-for-12 over the past week and is hitting .191 during the month of August, so he should be avoided tonight in FantasyScore.

Giants | Brandon Crawford remains out

Thu, 27 Aug 2015 11:06:12 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) is not in the starting lineup Thursday, Aug. 27. SS Ehire Adrianza is starting at shortstop and batting eighth against Chicago Cubs SP Dan Haren Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Crawford ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) from your lineups in all formats. He is optimistic to return sooner than later, so check back for updates. Wed, 26 Aug 2015 16:47:46 -0700

Fantasy Tip: SS Ehire Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) will likely see the majority of playing time in Crawford's ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) absence. Continue to check back for updates on the severity of Crawford's injury and when he projects to return to the lineup. Adrianza holds fleeting value as a desperation flier for NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Giants | Brandon Crawford continues power surge

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 21:32:31 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in a 5-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants Thursday, Aug. 6, and he leads all shortstops with 19 home runs.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) hit 19 home runs in his previous two seasons combined, and this late in the year, it is tough to dismiss his offensive numbers as a fluke. He has five homers and 10 RBI over his last nine games, and he should be one of the top options at his position at FantasyScore the rest of the way.
