Prior to the first game of the season, suggestions were made that Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott could unseat QB Tony Romo (back) as the starter if Prescott played well enough. Sources indicate Romo's job could be up for grabs, much the same way New England Patriots QB Tom Brady took it from QB Drew Bledsoe in 2001.
Fantasy Tip: Prescott has to do well enough to unseat Romo first, as he completed 56 percent of his passes and threw no touchdowns or interceptions in a 20-19 loss to the New York Giants. Monitor the situation closely before pushing the panic button. At the least, pick up Prescott if you have Romo.

Even after the game, he sent me a text that said, 'Stay with me, he'll play better for me.' You can only respect that. He's trying his best to get the ball to me in certain situations and it's hard when he has a lot of pressure on him. As a team, we just got to rally behind the guy. He's going to be the quarterback. I've been trying for four years here to get (quarterbacks) and you can't find them, and we're not in position to pick `em (in the draft). It's a big dilemma. Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys QB Drew Bledsoe is ready for the challenge and opportunity of having WR Terrell Owens as a teammate. The addition of Terrell Owens should make Bledsoe's life easier, at least between the whistles. Owens is still one of the NFL's most electrifying players, and when he's atop his game, he can make just about any quarterback look good. However, Owens has also had his share of problems with quarterbacks. Bledsoe said he understands that wide receivers want the ball, and added he prefers it that way over the contrary. "To me, I want my receivers to want the football on every play," Bledsoe said this summer. "That's the mentality of the great wide receivers. They want the ball all the time because they think they're going to make the best play. In his (Owens') case, he is one of the best players in the game. It's going to be my job to get him the football. It's something I look forward to."

Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys are not expected to draft a quarterback. Cowboys QB Drew Bledsoe is the starting quarterback, and barring injury, the team would go with either QBs Tony Romo or Drew Henson. "I think with Bledsoe at the juncture he is in his career, we would be looking at what we're going to be doing in the future at some point - not this year," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "And I don't want to imply not next year or even maybe the next year. But this would be the time to be looking into the future. We may have it right here - where our future QB is. He may be right in house right now."
