Seattle Mariners 1B Logan Morrison is batting fifth and playing first base Tuesday, Aug. 19, against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Fantasy Tip: Morrison is an excellent target in daily games against A.J. Burnett, who struggles against left-handed hitters. Morrison has an affordable salary and promising lineup position.

Seattle Mariners 1B Kendrys Morales will serve as the team's designated hitter the majority of the time, according to manager Lloyd McClendon. McClendon noted 1Bs Logan Morrison and Corey Hart will platoon at first base.
Fantasy Tip: All three players have little value outside of AL-only formats, at this point. With Morales projecting to get the most playing time, he is the one to take a flier on in mixed leagues. Morales has 39 games under his belt, so he should be ready to return to the reliable production we saw the past two seasons.

Seattle Mariners DH Corey Hart, 1B Justin Smoak and 1B Logan Morrison will share playing time similarly to their rotation early in the season, according to manager Lloyd McClendon.
Fantasy Tip: Smoak and Hart project to see the lion's share of playing time at first base and designated hitter, respectively. Morrison spelled those two occasionally and spot started in right field early in the season, so he'll still see enough at-bats to maintain his AL-only value. Ultimately, Endy Chavez is the obstacle to everyday at-bats for all three.

Seattle Mariners 1B/OF Logan Morrison has lifted his seasonal batting average 90 points, up to .215, since his return from the disabled list as he has regained his timing at the plate. He started his 14th consecutive contest Tuesday, June 24, and has benefited from the uninterrupted playing time.
Fantasy Tip: Morrison could be a fine power speculation in deep leagues, but his reps may become complicated with the potential returns of Justin Smoak (quadriceps), Corey Hart (hamstring) and Michael Saunders (shoulder).
