Braves | Kris Medlen, Brandon Beachy to see Dr. Andrews

Fri, 14 Mar 2014 08:32:49 -0700

Atlanta Braves SPs Kris Medlen (elbow) and Brandon Beachy (elbow) are scheduled to visit Dr. James Andrews Monday, March 17. Medlen has been preparing for the news he needs a second Tommy John surgery. Beachy is now facing the possibility of having his second procedure. Beachy was told earlier this week his ligament was fine and his biceps was damaged, which is what he passed along to the media.

Fantasy Tip: Beachy's prognosis isn't clear, but it appears he has a better chance to escape a devastating diagnosis than Medlen does. Beachy owners won't want to take chances, though, and should start piling up alternatives in case he has to miss the 2014 campaign, as well.
