Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly has told reporters he would be open to trade offers for QB Mark Sanchez, presumably to let Sanchez have a chance at the No. 1 job with another team. Kelly also added that does not mean Sanchez will be dealt, as they need his depth-chart experience behind QB Nick Foles, but the team is always looking to improve.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez completed seven of his 10 pass attempts for 79 yards in his team debut in the preseason opener Friday, Aug. 8, against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez relieved starter Nick Foles, working ahead of Matt Barkley, the quarterback he is battling for the primary backup job. Neither Sanchez nor Barkley will have any fantasy appeal unless Foles goes down with a long-term injury.

"Maybe this whole shoulder thing and relocation has just been a blessing in disguise," Sanchez said. "Maybe that year off was exactly what I needed. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said he expects a healthy competition between QB Mark Sanchez and QB Matt Barkley for the backup quarterback position. "[Barkley] had a real good offseason in terms of training," Kelly said. "It's a good time for the quarterbacks and receivers to kind of run and throw together, and I think Matt's throwing better here and there, too."
