Browns | Kenny Britt finds the end zone

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:06:05 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt posted three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 10 targets in Week 3 at Indianapolis.

Fantasy Tip: Britt saw his biggest involvement in the offense to date, developing quite the rapport with rookie DeShone Kizer. The emergence of Rashard Higgins never occurred and it was Britt reaping the rewards. He should still be treated as WR4 or flex option in most fantasy leagues for Week 4 against the Bengals, however.

Browns | Kenny Britt asked to step up

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 20:03:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt said he was challenged "man-to-man" by head coach Hue Jackson to step up and be a leader for the receiving corps.

Fantasy Tip: Coming off a 1,000-yard campaign last year, Britt has two catches for 15 yards through two games in Cleveland. You may want to hang on to him to see if the injury to Corey Coleman boosts his production, but he shouldn't be anywhere near starting lineups in Week 3.

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:48:55 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt posted just one catch for two yards on two targets in Week 2 at Baltimore.

Fantasy Tip: Britt made his way back from a knee injury and he was expected to see his normal allotment in the offense. Right now he is an afterthought in the Cleveland offense and not worth using in most fantasy leagues.

Browns | Kenny Britt's playing time to stay the same

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 09:48:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt will get his "normal allotment" of plays in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, according to head coach Hue Jackson, who refused to commit to Britt after a critical third-down drop in the second half of the team's Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson noted starts at receiver depends on the personnel grouping for the play called, so Britt may not technically get the start. At any rate, rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer locked in mostly on Corey Coleman, so it will be interesting to see if Britt can earn back the confidence of his coaching staff and quarterback. For now, the veteran belongs on the bench in most leagues, especially considering his matchup this week.

Browns | Kenny Britt fully practices

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 12:51:42 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Hue Jackson has been non-committal on whether or not Britt will remain a starting wideout. Corey Coleman is the only Cleveland receiver worth starting and he is no more than a flex consideration. Keep Britt on your fantasy sideline.

Browns | Full practice for Kenny Britt

Wed, 13 Sep 2017 12:26:32 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Britt's starting status is up in the air after a one-catch, 13-yard outing in Week 1. Cleveland is thin at wide receiver, though, so Britt should still have an integral role in the offense. For now, it's safer to keep him on the bench until we have further clarity on his usage.

Browns | Kenny Britt might not start this week

Mon, 11 Sep 2017 12:30:47 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt could be on the bench when the Browns begin their Week 2 game, according to head coach Hue Jackson. When asked if Britt would keep his starting job, Jackson simply said, "Let's see where we go this week."

Fantasy Tip: Hopefully you drafted Corey Coleman over Britt this year. DeShone Kizer seems to have a much better rapport with Coleman than any other Brown. That showed in the preseason and in Week 1. Don't let Britt go just yet, just bench him if you have better options.

Browns | Full practice for Kenny Britt

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 12:53:07 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Britt should be one of the starting receivers for the Browns in Week 1 and will have a solid role in the passing game. He will be working with a rookie quarterback this week but could be a flex option in deeper leagues since the team may be throwing often during the second half of the game.

Browns | Kenny Britt full go Thursday

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 13:21:11 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Britt and the Browns are fully expected to be blown out of the water against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend, but that could be good news for Cleveland's passing game. Britt is not a recommended start, but he does have flex appeal considering the potential game script.

Browns | Full practice for Kenny Britt

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 14:03:09 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Britt and Cleveland's passing game figures to be pretty busy in what is expected to be a catch up affair against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer appears to favor Corey Coleman, but Britt is still a decent flex option.

Browns | Kenny Britt cramps up

Thu, 27 Jul 2017 18:16:30 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (cramps) exited practice early with cramps Thursday, July 27.

Fantasy Tip: Cleveland's quarterback situation isn't ideal, but Britt's experience should make him the go-to weapon in the passing attack. He should be a solid WR4 and a potential starter against the right matchups.

Browns | Kenny Britt misses practice

Wed, 24 May 2017 15:14:03 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt (undisclosed) did not participate in organized team activities Wednesday, May 24, but head coach Hue Jackson said he expects Britt will be back on the field next week.

Fantasy Tip: Britt likely will be one of the starting receivers for the Browns in 2017 and is coming off a solid 2016 season. The team's quarterback situation hurts Britt's fantasy value, but he could still be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for fantasy owners.

Browns | Kenny Britt not sweating QB situation

Thu, 16 Mar 2017 19:22:52 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt said he believes the quarterback situation will be straightened out. "They said they are going to get the problem fixed, and I believe that they will," Britt said. "Regardless of who they have under center, it is my job to make him look good."

Fantasy Tip: With Terrelle Pryor out of the picture, Britt should be Cleveland's most dependable receiver in 2017. Consider him a WR3 candidate.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt's four-year, $32.5 million contract includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money at signing. He will make $17 million over the first two years of his deal.

Fantasy Tip: Britt had 1,002 receiving yards and five touchdowns last season with the Los Angeles Rams and will serve as Cleveland's No. 1 receiver in 2017. He should be viewed as a high-end WR3 in most fantasy leagues, with added value in PPR formats.

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt has agreed to sign with the Cleveland Browns Thursday, March 9. The deal is for four years and $32.5 million with $17 million guaranteed.

Mon, 06 Mar 2017 15:39:19 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is expected to receive interest from the Seattle Seahawks during free agency, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Britt would join a solid receiving corps if he signs with the Seattle and could have a chance to be a No. 2 receiver for the team. Britt is coming off one of his most successful seasons of his career and would be considered a No. 3 receiver if he signs with the Seahawks.

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is expected to receive interest from the San Francisco 49ers during free agency, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Britt should receive interest from multiple teams and probably would start if he signed with the 49ers this offseason. He posted 1,002 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2016 and would be a focal point in San Francisco's passing game. He probably would be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he joins the 49ers.

Eagles | Philadelphia targeting Kenny Britt?

Mon, 06 Mar 2017 11:33:22 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is expected to receive interest from the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN.com's Tim McManus.

Fantasy Tip: A pursuit of Britt would be logical by the Eagles, primarily due to the possible departure of Jordan Matthews. The good news is that if Britt does not return to the Rams, his quarterback will be an automatic upgrade. Britt's just not a consistent enough player to be viewed better than a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3.

Sun, 05 Mar 2017 19:56:29 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is expected to land a deal worth $6-$8 million per year, according to multiple NFL sources.

Rams | Kenny Britt to hit market

Thu, 02 Mar 2017 07:38:12 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt will hit the open market, according to general manager Les Snead.

Fantasy Tip: Britt, 29 in September, is coming off a 68-1,002-5 season in one of his most productive years in his career. Will he be in a position elsewhere to have that kind of production? It remains to be seen, but he has WR3 or WR4 value in early drafts.

Redskins | Washington interested in Kenny Britt

Fri, 24 Feb 2017 15:20:49 -0800

The Washington Redskins are showing interest in Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt. Britt would be interested in the Redskins if QB Kirk Cousins is their starting quarterback, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: The Redskins could lose DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in free agency this offseason, so Britt may have a significant role if he signed with the Redskins. He posted 1,002 yards and five touchdowns in 2016 and should receive interest from multiple teams. He probably would be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver if he signs with Washington.

Redskins | Kenny Britt a target for Washington?

Wed, 15 Feb 2017 19:57:20 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is a possible replacement for Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon, according to The Washington Post's Mark Bullock.

Fantasy Tip: Britt is more of a glorified possession receiver in the mold of Garcon and is coming off one of his best NFL seasons. Assuming he lands with Washington and QB Kirk Cousins is retained, we're still looking at nothing better than a high-risk WR3 with Britt's injury history.

Mon, 13 Feb 2017 07:33:11 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt is likely to sign elsewhere in free agency, in the opinion of beat writer Alden Gonzalez.

Fantasy Tip: Britt is coming off of a 68-1,002-5 season in what was his most productive year since 2010. He'll be 29 in September, and he has a checkered injury history. He's a WR3 in fantasy with a lot of bust potential.

Rams | Kenny Britt productive on the road

Wed, 08 Feb 2017 15:35:10 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt caught 37 passes for 601 yards and four touchdowns on the road this season. He caught 31 passes for 401 yards and one touchdown at home.

Fantasy Tip: Britt will be a free agent this offseason and may receiver interest from several teams after his solid 2016 season. Britt probably should be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues depending on which team he will sign with this offseason.

Rams | Kenny Britt may not fit new offense

Sat, 28 Jan 2017 18:07:29 -0800

Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent WR Kenny Britt's value will be discussed this offseason, according to general manager Les Snead, and Snead said the offensive staff first has to decide if Britt fits the new scheme.

Fantasy Tip: Britt logged his first 1,000-yard season in 2016 as the top target for the Rams, but there is no guarantee he can replicate the production, especially if signs elsewhere. If he is back in Los Angeles, he could be a low-ceiling WR3.

Redskins | Kenny Britt on Washington's radar

Wed, 04 Jan 2017 20:17:01 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt, who is about to become a free agent, has drawn interest from the Washington Redskins, according to a league source. It's considered that if the Redskins do not bring back WRs DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, they would "likely" add veteran help during the offseason, with Britt being a viable option.

Fantasy Tip: Britt is coming off the best season of his eight-year career, setting new career highs in catches (68) and receiving yards (1,002) in 2016. It's even more impressive when considering that he accomplished those numbers while playing for the worst offense in the league. No matter where Britt ends up next season, it will likely be viewed as an upgrade for his fantasy outlook.

Fri, 30 Dec 2016 15:18:23 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 30, and is listed as doubtful for Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Britt probably will not be able to play in the season finale, so owners in all leagues should avoid him. Tavon Austin and Brian Quick probably will receive more targets during the game but they also can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Rams | Kenny Britt sits out another practice

Thu, 29 Dec 2016 16:44:38 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Britt just narrowly cracked his first-ever 1,000-yard campaign, and after playing in every game for the Rams during this woeful return season to Los Angeles, he deserves a week off if he's hobbled. Assuming he misses his first contest of the year, Tavon Austin and Brian Quick would each receive a boost, but it's really hard recommending either of those two while Jared Goff is under center.

Rams | No practice for Kenny Britt

Wed, 28 Dec 2016 18:49:05 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 28, due to a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if Britt's injury is serious enough to keep him out of the regular season finale, or if he was simply getting a veteran's mid-week day off. Wait to see how he fares Thursday and Friday before deciding on him for Week 17.

Rams | Kenny Britt injures shoulder

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 18:51:58 -0800

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in the Week 16 game against the San Francisco 49ers and he was unable to return.

Fantasy Tip: That explains why he was limited to just one catch for 15 yards on four targets. Britt's status for Week 17 is uncertain, but even if he doesn't play he is the first Rams receiver since Torry Holt in 2007 to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season.

Rams | Kenny Britt mostly quiet in loss

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 18:44:54 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt was held to just one catch for 15 yards on four targets in the Week 16 game against the San Francisco 49ers. It still good enough to make Britt the first Rams player since WR Torry Holt in 2007 to reach the 1,000-yard mark in a season.

Fantasy Tip: Britt had a sensational season given the quality of the quarterback play in Los Angeles. He remains a WR3 in all fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 17.

Fri, 23 Dec 2016 16:34:51 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has been a consistent option for fantasy owners for most of the season and has been targeted at least six times in all but one game in 2016. Owners in deeper leagues can consider using Britt as a flex option.

Rams | Kenny Britt limited

Wed, 21 Dec 2016 16:40:19 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Britt probably will be able to play in Week 16 as long as he does not suffer a setback during the week. He has recorded at least 50 yards in each of the last four games and has two touchdowns during that span. He can be a decent flex option in deeper leagues.

Sun, 04 Dec 2016 16:20:57 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt posted two receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has emerged as the only real consistent fantasy option in the Los Angeles offense, posting 43 or more receiving yards in nine straight outings while scoring a total of five touchdowns in the past seven games. He is a solid WR3 in most formats heading into Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Rams | Kenny Britt ready to finish strong

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt said he credits wide receivers coach Mike Groh for his success this season, and Britt doesn't believe there will be a drop in his production with the transition to QB Jared Goff.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has become the top target for the Rams, but being the go-to option for a passing attack ranked 28th in the league limits his upside. He is a WR3 candidate in Week 12 against the shaky defense of the Saints.

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 20:31:03 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt posted five grabs for 43 yards on seven targets in the Week 11 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Britt has two 100-yard games over the past five outings, but he also has been held under 50 yards in three games during the span. He should be treated as a WR3 in most fantasy formats, although he has the potential of a big stat line in Week 12 against a bad New Orleans Saints pass defense.

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 13:13:38 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt caught seven passes for 109 yards in Week 10's win over the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Britt continues to stand out in an otherwise anemic passing game. He's a matchup play as a WR2 in PPR most weeks and a flex in standard setups. Week 11 brings the Miami Dolphins.

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 21:13:32 -0800

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt posted four receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: Britt's touchdown came in the final minute of regulation, but fantasy owners do not care when it comes, as long as it does. He has emerged as a useful WR3 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. The Rams meet the Jets in Week 10 for another favorable matchup.

Rams | Kenny Britt having career year

Mon, 17 Oct 2016 11:56:11 -0700

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt is on pace for 1,312 receiving yards in 2016. His current career high is 775 yards. Through six games this year Britt has managed 30 catches for 492 yards and two touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: The key for Britt is to stay healthy. He has only played three full seasons in his eight-year career. He is outperforming Tavon Austin and appears to be Case Keenum's favorite target. Many of the Rams' game scripts may force them to pass a lot, so pick up Britt if he's available.
