St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook hauled in a 2-yard touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks, his fifth of the season. His five touchdowns is a career best.

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook managed just one catch for 10 yards in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. He was targeted six times.
Fantasy Tip: Cook took a giant step backward after his sensational debut with the team in Week 1. He remains a strong TE1 in most fantasy leagues, despite nearly being invisible in his one.

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook rolled up seven receptions for 141 yards and two scores in the Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals, marking the second-highest yardage total of his career. It was also the first multi-score of his career.
Fantasy Tip: Cook almost had a third touchdown on a long play in the first half, but he was stripped inside the 5-yard line after a long run, and the Cardinals recovered the ball in the end zone. It was a pretty great start for Cook and his fantasy owners. He remains a Top 10 option at his position.

The St. Louis Rams might be forced to carry an extra tight end on the 53-man roster. TEs Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks are atop the depth chart, but a leg injury to TE Cory Harkey (leg) might mean TEs Philip Lutzenkirchen, Mike McNeill or Zach Potter find their way onto the final roster to start the season.

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher and other team members see TE Jared Cook as a completely different player than the one he coached with the Tennessee Titans. "Absolutely — night and day difference," said CB Cortland Finnegan. "I'm going to be the first to say that I was maybe like, 'Ahh ...' (when the Rams signed Cook), but when he got there, he's been tearing it up like I've never seen. He's comfortable, he's back where he wants to be and I'm excited to have him."
Fantasy Tip: The Rams don't have many aerial threats outside of rookie Tavon Austin, so Cook could surprise some folks with his versatility. Consider him a nice sleeper option off the waiver wire or with a late-round flier pick in deeper leagues.

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team will move TE Jared Cook around this season. "He's going to play all over the place," Fisher said. "We've even got him in the backfield, so we've got some good things for him." Fisher said Cook and QB Sam Bradford have spent a lot of time together this offseason in order to build chemistry.

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford is working with the same offensive coordinator in consecutive seasons for the first time in his career, but plenty has changed about the team's offense. With RB Steven Jackson gone, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will now run the O through Bradford while trying to bust more big plays. "The speed that we have acquired and what we have on the outside now -- and even the inside -- it suits us more to spread it out and play more one-back this year," Bradford said. He also thinks defenses will have to design specific coverages for some of the speed weapons, a reversal from St. Louis' more predictable offense last season.
Rookie WR Tavon Austin is lining up in the slot, on the outside and in the backfield. Schottenheimer said Austin Pettis has had the strongest offseason of any Rams wideout. TE Jared Cook and WR Brian Quick deepen the amount of players that St. Louis hopes bolsters their red-zone potency.
Fantasy Tip: This Rams offense boasts a lot of intrigue that'll come at cheap prices in fantasy drafts. Bradford's risk has a bit more of an attractive potential behind it as a fantasy backup. Austin may become overvalued eventually but would pass as a WR4 on draft day, along with Chris Givens, their biggest breakthrough player last year. Cook might be a borderline TE1 for most of the year, if not better. Pettis and Quick might be sneaky late-rounders or free-agent bids. You can't write off this offense anymore, at least not for the cost of its pieces.

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook said the Tennessee Titans' offense didn't fit him, and he likes what he sees in St. Louis. "I think I'm on an elevator going up," Cook said.
Mon, 27 May 2013 22:35:47 -0700
St. Louis Rams WR Chris Givens connected with QB Sam Bradford on at least a few deep balls in practice Friday, May 24. Givens has added muscle and appears ready to handle a full season's workload.
Fantasy Tip: The added potency of new weapons - TE Jared Cook among them - may give Bradford more cred as a high-upside QB2. Givens showed big-play flashes last year and could be a WR4 in standard-scoring formats.
