New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) is not ready to go for Week 9, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. Jennings said he is not able to make cuts yet and has been limited to linear running.
Fantasy Tip: Andre Williams ($4,100; 8.2% of your cap) will be an option for your flex spot on FantasyScore against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts' run defense has been solid, and their offense has been clicking. Williams may not be a great start in Week 9.
Mon, 27 Oct 2014 14:38:44 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) is not ruling out the possibility of playing in Week 9 but will not return until he is ready. Jennings did not run during the bye week and was only able to do some light jogging Monday, Oct. 27.
Fantasy Tip: It appears that Jennings likely will miss another game but still has a few days to improve. Andre Williams would start again if Jennings misses the game and would be a No. 2 running back or flex option this week.

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 27. Jennings is expected to do some things during practice this week but his status for Week 9 is uncertain.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings likely will need to do something during practice this week to have a chance to play in Week 9. Andre Williams likely would continue to start if Jennings is not able to play and could be a flex option for owners.
Mon, 20 Oct 2014 12:46:50 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) said he's on schedule and hopes to play after the team's bye this week. He'll start running this week.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings could be eased back in if he does return after the bye week. It's too early to gauge how healthy he is at this point, so keep tabs on his status throughout this week and next week.
Sun, 19 Oct 2014 11:59:07 -0700

Thu, 16 Oct 2014 11:40:08 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) said he hopes to be able to play in the team's Week 9 game. Jennings said he is no longer wearing his knee brace every day and is only wearing it when he is sleeping.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings will not play in Week 7 but may be ready to go after the team's Week 8 bye. Owners will need to monitor his practice participation to see if he has a chance to play in a few weeks.
Wed, 15 Oct 2014 13:16:27 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) has been working out and feels better, and he's hoping he can return after the team's Week 8 bye. "Getting better every day," Jennings said. "Just working out in the gym, getting lost in my music and doing everything I need to do so that when I get back, I'll be back up to speed where I was." He plans to start running this week.
Fantasy Tip: The Giants are using a tandem of Andre Williams and Peyton Hillis in the backfield without Jennings, and the Giants appear to prefer using Hillis in passing situations. That'll limit Williams' value for another week, and the matchup against the Dallas Cowboys doesn't look promising.
Wed, 15 Oct 2014 10:44:41 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) will definitely not play in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. Jennings sprained the medial collateral ligament in his knee in Week 5. The team is hoping he can return after their bye week. RBs Andre Williams and Peyton Hillis will be relied on again, and Hillis could see additional snaps if QB Eli Manning is under heavy pressure.
Fantasy Tip: Hillis actually played more snaps than Williams last weekend. An improved Dallas defensive front against a shaky Giants offensive line could spell trouble for the running game for the second straight week. Williams ($5,100; 10.2% of cap) is a shaky investment at FantasyScore.
Sun, 12 Oct 2014 16:11:30 -0700

Thu, 09 Oct 2014 11:18:05 -0700

Wed, 08 Oct 2014 11:38:09 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is not expected to play in the team's Week 6 game. Andre Williams will likely get the bulk of the work while Jennings is out, and with a FantasyScore price of $5,200 (10.40% of cap), he could be a very nice play.
Mon, 06 Oct 2014 13:03:50 -0700
Updating previous reports, New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) will not need surgery to fix a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. However, he's expected to miss at least a few weeks due to the injury. RB Andre Williams will take over as the starting running back in the meantime, with RB Peyton Hillis as the backup. Williams ran for 65 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries after taking over for Jennings in Week 5. Jennings compared this injury to the one he had in Week 1 in 2012, which kept him sidelined for two games.
Fantasy Tip: Obviously you'll want to stay away from Jennings at FantasyScore for at least a few weeks, but Williams should be a popular waiver wire acquisition leading up to Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles will give Williams a tasty matchup, too.
Mon, 06 Oct 2014 11:43:13 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) said his sprained left knee feels alright. Jennings left yesterday's game against the Atlanta Falcons in the third quarter.
Fantasy Tip: Whether the New York coaches and trainers agree that Jennings is alright is another story. He might get a week of rest and pave the way for Andre Williams to start Week 6.
Mon, 06 Oct 2014 11:38:10 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) was seen with a limp and wearing a brace on his left knee.

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) is questionable to return to Week 5's game because of a sprained left knee.
Thu, 02 Oct 2014 16:20:37 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings faces an Atlanta Falcons defense in Week 5 that has allowed eight rushing touchdowns to running backs through four games.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is more than worth his price of $6,600 on FantasyScore this week, even if Andre Williams does take away a few carries.
Wed, 24 Sep 2014 15:39:22 -0700
The New York Giants could use RB Andre Williams more in Week 4 if the team gets an early lead and has to rely on the running game, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN New York. The team is monitoring RB Rashad Jennings after he carried the ball 34 times in Week 3, and believe he will be at full strength, but with the short week the team could rely on Williams a bit more.
Fantasy Tip: It would make sense for Williams to see more carries in this spot, but it may not be enough to justify using him in FantasyScore this week, especially since there is no doubt Jennings will see the majority of the workload.
Tue, 19 Aug 2014 07:32:55 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is expected to get the bulk of the carries in Week 1, according to Dan Graziano.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings broke off a big scoring run in the opening preseason game and is in line for many weeks of RB2 use. Don't sleep on Andre Williams for the long term, though he's probably just a goal line back to start off the 2014 season.
Sat, 09 Aug 2014 21:04:56 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings had five carries for 85 yards in the team's preseason opener Saturday, Aug. 9, including a 73-yard touchdown run.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is going is going to open the year as the team's top back, and he looked the part of a lead back in this one. With David Wilson's neck problem forcing him out of football and Andre Williams likely more of a short-yardage back, Jennings should be considered a mid-level RB2 candidate.
Mon, 04 Aug 2014 10:02:01 -0700
New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) has been shut down by team doctors because of the neck injury he suffered last week, according to a source. It is believed the injury could be career ending.
Fantasy Tip: Rashad Jennings likely will be the team's starting running back with Wilson not being able to compete for the job. Jennings should be considered a low-end No. 2 or No. 3 running back in most leagues. Andre Williams could become more valuable with this news and should be seen as a No. 4 running back.
Tue, 29 Jul 2014 15:27:30 -0700
New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) will undergo tests after suffering a "burner" in practice Tuesday, July 29. The team "will be careful" with Wilson.
Fantasy Tip: The Giants and Tom Coughlin are praying that this burner doesn't equate to a significant setback for Wilson. If it's significant, Wilson's season may be over before it began. Obviously, he's a big risk if you're drafting in the coming days. Rashad Jennings' value will go up even more if Wilson's injury proves costly.
Thu, 24 Jul 2014 10:26:03 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is listed as the team's starting running back on the first unofficial depth chart of training camp.
Wed, 23 Jul 2014 05:18:00 -0700
New York Giants RBs Rashad Jennings, David Wilson and Andre Williams could be used in a three-man rotation this season to keep Jennings fresh.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings will be the lead back with Wilson in to change the pace. Williams could be the goal line back. Jennings is a decent RB3 with Wilson an RB4. Williams could be a decent flier as an RB5 with upside in TD-only leagues.
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 08:00:40 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is still considered the lead running back, despite RB David Wilson's (neck) clearance for contact.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is a mid-rate RB2 with a higher potential of output in PPR leagues. Wilson is a RB4.
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 07:29:48 -0700
New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) said that he has been cleared for everything.
Fantasy Tip: Wilson's stock should start to rise as he mends. However, Rashad Jennings is still the lead back. Wilson is a RB4 with some upside.
Mon, 07 Jul 2014 18:46:26 -0700
New York Giants RB Andre Williams could unseat RB Peyton Hillis as the power back by the start of the year and become a part of a three-man rotation with RB Rashad Jennings and RB David Wilson, according to Giants.com writers John Schmeelk and Dan Salomone.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings is the favorite to be the featured back, but with Wilson's injury history, there is a chance Williams could carve out a worthwhile role in the offense. He probably isn't worth drafting at this point, but he is worth keeping an eye on to see how his role develops.
Tue, 01 Jul 2014 10:06:19 -0700
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is likely to be the workhorse back and will probably get the most carries if everyone stays healthy, in the opinion of Dan Graziano of ESPN New York. The team also likes Jennings as a receiver out of the backfield.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings probably should be considered a mid-rate RB2 with an uptick in PPR leagues.
Wed, 04 Jun 2014 08:09:50 -0700
New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) met with doctors Wednesday, June 4, and will do so again in July. He expects to be cleared for full contact in camp.
Fantasy Tip: Wilson will compete not only with his own health but also Rashad Jennings and rookie Andre Williams in this new offense. Wilson is still a notable late-rounds selection in most fantasy drafts.
Fri, 23 May 2014 10:16:41 -0700
New York Giants RB Andre Williams said he is unsure if the Giants will use a three-headed monster at running back with him, RB Rashad Jennings and RB David Wilson. "I can't really say they're going to build that three-headed monster," said Williams. "I'm not really too sure yet. I'm just getting here and learning as much as I can. I think each running back brings a lot of different specialties, and I'm just excited to see what we'll be able to do once we're out on the field."
Tue, 11 Mar 2014 14:19:50 -0700
The New York Giants will be signing unrestricted free-agent RB Rashad Jennings (Raiders) to an undisclosed deal.
Fantasy Tip: Jennings should be in the mix for meaningful touches and could have borderline starting value for fantasy owners, depending on his role. Andre Brown has yet to re-sign, and bringing in Jennings, along with the re-signing of Peyton Hillis, could spell the end of Brown's time in New York.

Fri, 20 Dec 2013 14:12:04 -0800
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden (knee, ankle) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 20, and is probable for Week 16.
Fantasy Tip: In what may surprise many, McFadden will play against the San Diego Chargers. However, he'll be limited to a backup role to Rashad Jennings. Jennings' owners probably won't be happy. He's still playable, but more so as a flex than in a starting RB spot. McFadden is a risky play, regardless.
Wed, 18 Dec 2013 16:04:48 -0800
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden (knee, ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Fantasy Tip: There's a chance that DMC returns against the San Diego Chargers, but don't hold your breath. More importantly, don't put all your chips on McFadden in your championship game. Rashad Jennings has earned more carries even if McFadden returns to the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: This is great news for Jennings' chances of playing in Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. His performance and health has been superior to that of Darren McFadden for the past month, so expect him to receive the majority of work this weekend, even if DMC plays. Jennings will be a midrange RB2 if he passes the remaining concussion tests later this week.

Fri, 06 Dec 2013 17:25:00 -0800
Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) has still not been cleared to play in the Week 14 game against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Tip: If Jennings is cleared, he will have the carries almost entirely to himself with RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Jeremy Stewart (ankle, knee) already ruled out. Jennings might be a solid RB2 or flex fantasy play, but he is extremely risky to start right now until he is officially given the green light.
Fri, 06 Dec 2013 14:53:56 -0800
Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 6, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
