Giants | Andre Williams could move up

Tue, 25 Aug 2015 09:20:05 -0700

New York Giants RB Andre Williams could overtake RB Rashad Jennings as the lead back sometime this season, maybe even to open the season. Williams has worked on his receiving game this offseason and studied Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell's patience with the ball.

Fantasy Tip: Williams figures to at least be active in the red zone and is in the RB4 conversation.

Giants | Top two Giants RBs working with starters

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 13:13:34 -0700

New York Giants RBs Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen received snaps with the first-team offense during practice Friday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings probably will receive a majority of the carries this season with Vereen more involved in the passing game. Jennings could be a middle-round option in most leagues if he wins the starting job. Vereen likely will have more value in point-per-reception leagues but be an option in the late rounds of most leagues.

Giants | Rashad Jennings working with twos

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 05:22:49 -0700

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings has seen quite a bit of second-team repetitions in camp with RB Shane Vereen and RB Andre Williams seeing most with the first team.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings should still be a factor, but the receiving back and the ground-and-pounder seeing more starter reps is concerning. Jennings is an RB3 in fantasy, while Vereen is a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues. Williams is a low-end RB4 right now.

Giants | RB roles TBD for Giants

Fri, 17 Jul 2015 15:26:10 -0700

New York Giants RBs Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen and Andre Williams will use training camp to determine their roles in the offense, according to running backs coach Craig Johnson. "I think that as we get closer to games and time for the opener, we will find out more role defining roles for them," Johnson said. "Right now, I try to put them in every situation so I can see what they can do. I try not to say, for instance, 'Shane is only going to run the ball.' I want to see if Shane can catch the ball. I know he can, but I want to see if he can under pressure situations and vice versa. I do that for all of our guys because that way you can kind of find out what they all can do."

Fantasy Tip: Jennings likely will receive most of the carries this season and may have the most fantasy value among the running backs. Vereen probably will be more valuable in point-per-reception leagues because of his ability to catch the ball. All three running backs should be selected in drafts this season since they will all receive playing time.

Giants | Rashad Jennings to be most used RB?

Sat, 13 Jun 2015 10:53:28 -0700

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is still expected to lead the Giants in touches, according to ESPN.com's Dan Graziano, despite the acquisition of RB Shane Vereen this offseason. Graziano said the Giants will give Jennings the ball as long as he can stay healthy.

Fantasy Tip: The big question for Jennings is if he can stay healthy. If he can, then he probably will end up leading New York's running backs in snaps. Vereen's role will primarily be in the passing game, while Williams will likely spot Jennings on running downs and perhaps in goal-line situations. Jennings is in low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 territory. Vereen has RB3 upside in point-per-reception leagues and Williams is more of a handcuff pick incase Jennings does get injured.

Giants | G-men likely to add RB

Wed, 21 Jan 2015 07:16:18 -0800

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings could have a veteran running back to complement or compete with him next season. The team could possibly add a change-of-pace back and a run-blocking offensive lineman in the offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings served as a decent option in PPR formats, and he'll be a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 in traditional leagues. Andre Williams saw considerable action in his rookie season, but the team's need to add another running back doesn't bode well for him on the surface. He'll be a RB4 or RB5 option.

Giants | Rashad Jennings probable to play

Fri, 26 Dec 2014 10:40:59 -0800

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (ankle) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 26, and is probable for Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings should play in Week 17, and is a nice starting option against an Eagles defense that has struggled against the run at times this year. Jennings should be considered for your roster.

Giants | Rashad Jennings takes part in practice

Wed, 24 Dec 2014 09:25:23 -0800

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (ankle) participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings may be on track to play in Week 17, but owners should continue to monitor his practice participation. He would be facing a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has struggled against opposing running backs this season. Owners on FantasyScore should consider Jennings a low-end flex option because of his injury situation.

Giants | Rashad Jennings inactive

Sun, 21 Dec 2014 11:41:23 -0800

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (ankle) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 16 game.

Fantasy Tip: Andre Williams likely will receive a majority of the carries during the game. Williams costs $4,600 on FantasyScore but is a risky option since he faces a tough St. Louis Rams run defense.
