Panthers | Graham Gano trying to hang on

Fri, 16 Aug 2013 10:47:42 -0700

Carolina Panthers PKs Graham Gano and Morgan Lineberry accounted for three field goals in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 15, against the Chicago Bears. Gano hit from 47 and 32 yards, while Lineberry connected from 27.

Panthers | Sticking with Graham Gano

Tue, 27 Nov 2012 15:59:36 -0800

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said the team will stick with PK Graham Gano despite the fact that he missed an extra point in the team's Week 12 loss. "It was more mechanical than anything else," Rivera said. "He over-strided. His plant leg was ahead of the ball which caused him to come down on the ball and he actually caught the ground first and just pushed it to the right. It's one of those things. You're a little bit anxious and you want to get the ball up and he took a big step."

Patriots | Stephen Gostkowski's job in jeopardy?

Wed, 31 Oct 2012 20:55:49 -0700

The New England Patriots brought in free-agent PKs Billy Cundiff (Redskins), Graham Gano (Redskins) and Neil Rackers (Redskins) for workouts Wednesday, Oct. 31. It's uncertain if either is a serious threat to PK Stephen Gostkowski, or just being look at in the event of an emergency.

Fantasy Tip: Gostkowski has converted seven straight field goals, and 17-of-20 on the season, so it is unlikely he is in danger of losing his job to one of these retreads. He remains a reliable fantasy kicker going forward.
