Patriots | Julian Edelman hurt in practice

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 12:55:00 -0700

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (undisclosed) came up gimpy during practice Sunday, Aug. 2, and rehabilitated during practice Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Edelman is the Patriots' top wide receiver, so it would behoove them to be careful with Edelman. His value takes a minor hit with Tom Brady suspended for the first four games of the season, but he should still be viewed as a high-end WR2 in PPR leagues.

Patriots | Julian Edelman focused on football

Sat, 18 Jul 2015 11:31:49 -0700

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman said he is focusing on preparing for training camp, not worrying about the looming decision regarding QB Tom Brady's suspension. "I'm not really thinking about that right now," Edelman said. "I have 10 more days to get ready for camp and I'm going to worry about what I can do to put myself in the best situation to help this team."

Fantasy Tip: Edelman should produce no matter who's at quarterback, but his value could diminish some if Brady's four-game suspension is upheld. Edelman's specialty is catching passes, and he should be drafted as a WR2 in point-per-reception leagues.

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (head) was tested for a concussion and was cleared to play after he left Super Bowl XLIX with a head injury, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Edelman finished the game with nine receptions, 109 yards and one touchdown. Edelman is one of the main focal points in the team's passing game and should continue to be next season. He should be considered a solid No. 2 receiver for owners in 2015.

Patriots | Julian Edelman takes part in warmups

Sat, 10 Jan 2015 11:06:21 -0800

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (concussion) was the first Patriot to take the field for warmups Saturday, Jan. 10. Edelman hasn't played in nearly a month.

Fantasy Tip: This is obviously a good sign for Edelman's availability in today's game versus the Baltimore Ravens. He has a great matchup but could be a risky investment at $6,700 on FantasyScore.

Patriots | Julian Edelman good to go

Fri, 09 Jan 2015 13:22:06 -0800

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (concussion) was limited in practice for the third straight day Friday, Jan. 9, but he is probable for the divisional round game against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Jan. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Edelman's FantasyScore price ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) begs you to take a shot on him this weekend in your daily lineups. Perhaps some are counting him out after he missed the final two regular season games. Edelman's shiftiness matches up well against a suspect Ravens secondary.

Thu, 08 Jan 2015 14:25:41 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Julian Edelman (concussion) and Brandon LaFell (shoulder, toe) were limited in practice Thursday, Jan. 8.

Patriots | Julian Edelman working overtime

Wed, 07 Jan 2015 14:53:07 -0800

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (concussion) has been working overtime with QB Tom Brady this week after Edelman missed the team's final two regular season games with a concussion. "We've been practicing the last week and a half or something; I know Tom a little bit here now, these last few years. He knows me. There's a foundation," Edelman said. "But even if whatever happened didn't happen, we still have to continue to try to get better. That's what we're trying to do -- staying after, throwing a couple extra routes, bouncing ideas off each other. Like any other week, I guess, but the stakes are a little higher."

Fantasy Tip: Edelman ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) could be a real nice value play this weekend at FantasyScore against the Baltimore Ravens, who have a suspect secondary.
