The Chicago Bears have signed WR Chris X. Williams off the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived DT Christian Tupou.

Omar Kelly, of the South Florida SunSentinel, reports Miami Dolphins WR Chris X. Williams gained 127 yards on four kickoffs during the team's preseason game Monday, Aug. 17. He also had a 27-yard punt return that was negated because of a penalty. However, Williams muffed his second punt return and ran backward for a three-yard loss on his third punt return.
