|Diamondbacks | Peter O'Brien, others coming up|
Fri, 27 May 2016 15:03:57 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks OF Peter O'Brien and RPs Silvino Bracho and Dominic Leone were recalled from Class AAA Friday, May 27. RP Josh Collmenter (shoulder) was also reinstated from the 15-day disabled list. SPs Shelby Miller (finger) and Rubby De La Rosa (elbow) were placed on the disabled list in corresponding moves.
Fantasy Tip: O'Brien is a big-time power prospect who has transitioned from catcher to the outfield. He hit 26 homers in the minors in 2015 and is a waiver wire target for home runs in the short term in deep mixed and NL-only leagues. His stay could be short, though, with David Peralta returning from the DL soon. Bracho has potential to be a successful late-inning reliever, but he's a watch list guy for now. Collmenter is likely to serve in a long-relief role despite the D-backs having a need for starters at the moment. He can be ignored in fantasy.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller going on DL|
Fri, 27 May 2016 10:13:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Maybe this will explain Miller's poor performance in his first year with the Diamondbacks, as he's easily been the biggest bust of any offseason acquisition this season. If this leads to Archie Bradley being recalled, owners should take notice and probably add him in deeper leagues. The top prospect has the second best ERA in the hitter-friendly PCL at the moment. Braden Shipley is worth watching, too.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller's finger still an issue|
Thu, 26 May 2016 08:42:06 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller (finger) is still bothered by a finger on his right hand that he banged on the mound in April, according to manager Chip Hale. Miller has been healthy enough to pitch, but the team will continue to evaluate his health. He is still on track for his next start Sunday, May 29.
Fantasy Tip: Miller hasn't been good all year, and he's not a wise start until things start to turn around.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller roughed up again|
Tue, 24 May 2016 19:48:23 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller dropped to 1-6 on the season after losing his start Tuesday, May 24, opposite the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went five innings, yielding six runs on eight hits and four walks. He also struck out three.
Fantasy Tip: Miller's disastrous first season in Arizona continues. He was actually doing better in May, holding a 4.71 ERA for the month before tonight's assignment. Now, he owns a 7.09 ERA for the year, while also having almost as many walks (29) as strikeouts (30) in 45 2/3 total innings. Miller can't be trusted in any format right now and owners should wait until he can finally get into a rhythm.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller earns first win|
Sat, 07 May 2016 22:45:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Before you get too excited about Miller winning this game, consider one thing. Miller had an 8.49 ERA entering the game after giving up 22 runs in his first 23 1/3 innings. Miller had some hard luck in Atlanta with the Braves, but he has struggled as well in Arizona. One win won't dramatically raise his fantasy value.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller won't be skipped|
Tue, 03 May 2016 14:36:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Miller (0-3, 8.49 ERA, 7.3 BB/9) certainly isn't this bad, but we warned you that he'd regress in 2016 with the move to the desert. Bad mechanics are playing a role, and you probably don't want to sell low at this point. Ride him out and keep him benched for now, although a matchup against his former team in the weak-hitting Braves could be the beginning of a turnaround.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller's mechanics out of whack|
Mon, 02 May 2016 10:46:15 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller's delivery seems out of whack this year compared to last. His delivery has always featured him driving down low with his back, with his arm slinging across his legs. However, his pitching hand was parallel with his knees last year, and this year it's ending up lower. The D-backs have won only two of his six starts.
Fantasy Tip: Miller's start with Arizona has been disastrous, and he's gone at least five innings just three times in his six starts with an 8.49 ERA in six starts. Miller is a candidate to drop in shallow mixed leagues if he wasn't already. Bench him everywhere else and hope he gets his mechanics sorted out in short order.

|Diamondbacks | Early exit for Shelby Miller |
Sun, 01 May 2016 18:35:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Miller isn't as bad as his 8.49 ERA suggests, but he isn't a fantasy ace either. If he has been cut loose in your league, it doesn’t hurt to stash him to see if he can figure things out and become a solid No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy starter.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller bombed by old mates|
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 23:45:49 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller allowed five earned runs, five hits and four walks with six strikeouts over five innings in a loss Tuesday, April 26, against the St. Louis Cardinals, his former team.
Fantasy Tip: Miller's ERA slipped to 8.69 on the season. He worked four scoreless innings before getting hammered for five runs in the fifth inning. He can no longer be trusted in any fantasy format until he strings together a good start or two.

|Diamondbacks | Shelby Miller on track to start|
Fri, 22 Apr 2016 15:15:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Boy has Miller been a disappointment to start off the year. He sports an 8.59 ERA and hasn't gone past the second inning in his last two starts after having control problems and scraping his knuckles on the ground during his follow-through. He's a candidate to be dropped in standard mixed leagues, and you should be very hesitant to use him in deep mixed and NL-only leagues his next time out.
