Angels | Garrett Richards' season over?

Thu, 21 Aug 2014 06:23:31 -0700

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Garrett Richards (knee) is likely to miss the rest of the season with what is believed to be a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. If he requires surgery, as expected, he'll have a six-month recovery window.

Fantasy Tip: Wade LeBlanc and Randy Wolf are possibilities to replace him in the Halos' rotation. LeBlanc has a 4.00 ERA and 1.38 WHIP at AAA, but he has 116 K's in 123 2/3 innings. He'd be a decent AL-only add, whereas Wolf would serve as AL roster depth.
