Rockies | DJ LeMahieu files for arbitration

Sun, 17 Jan 2016 08:07:10 -0800

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu has filed for salary arbitration. He is seeking a one-year deal worth $3.3 million while the team has countered with a $2.8 million offer.

Fantasy Tip: The 26-year-old LeMahieu hit .301 with six home runs, 61 RBIs and 23 steals in 150 games last season while making the All-Star team for the first time in his career. He is one of the better options available at the keystone position and should be selected in the middle rounds of all fantasy formats.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu sitting out Friday

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 17:23:57 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup against San Francisco Giants SP Chris Heston Friday, Oct. 2. INF Daniel Descalso will play second base and bat eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is only batting .213 over 178 at-bats this season and is just 2-for-17 versus San Francisco this year. He is nothing more than a source of desperation cap relief in FantasyScore.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu sitting vs. Dodgers

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 15:39:14 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup Friday, Sept. 25. OF Rafael Ynoa is starting at second base and batting ninth against Los Angeles Dodgers Mike Bolsinger Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid LeMahieu ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. Ynoa ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) owns an uninspiring .538 OPS through 65 games this season, and he checks out as nothing more than a low-priced flier at FantasyScore Friday.

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 12:59:49 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup against San Diego Padres SP James Shields Sunday, Sept. 20. INF Daniel Descalso will play second base and bat seventh.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu grabs a breather

Wed, 16 Sep 2015 16:34:35 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Sept. 16. SS Cristhian Adames is starting at second base and batting fifth against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Alex Wood Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid LeMahieu ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday. After a tough August, he has bounced back with a .314/.386/.412 slash line in September. Adames ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a potential flier for FantasyScore players Wednesday, as he has gone 9-for-23 with a .440 on-base percentage since being recalled Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Thu, 10 Sep 2015 10:52:04 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup Thursday, Sept. 10. 2B Daniel Descalso is starting at the keystone and is batting eighth against San Diego Padres SP Tyson Ross.

Fantasy Tip: Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) isn't worth your time on FantasyScore for a second base pick, especially with him hitting near the bottom of the order in a pitcher's park Thursday.

Rockies | DJ LeMahieu resting up

Tue, 01 Sep 2015 16:58:34 -0700

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of the doubleheader against the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday, Sept. 1. 2B Daniel Descalso is starting at second base and is hitting seventh against Diamondbacks SP Rubby De La Rosa.

Fantasy Tip: Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is purely a desperation deep sleeper on FantasyScore as a source of salary cap relief. He's hitting only .216 (32-for-148) with four home runs and 20 RBI on the year.

Rockies | Nolan Arenado taking day off

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 14:26:36 -0700

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Aug. 26. 2B DJ LeMahieu moves into the cleanup spot, while 2B Daniel Descalso is starting at third base and batting seventh against Atlanta Braves SP Shelby Miller.

Fantasy Tip: All LeMahieu ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has done is continue to hit this year, so continue to ride him on FantasyScore. However, Miller has been very solid all season long despite his record. Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a weak daily pick with his .207 average (29-for-140) and four homers on the season.
