Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu hit a two-run home run against the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday, April 18. While it was his first home run of the season, LeMahieu has eight RBI and a .463/.476/.585 slash line through his first 41 at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: LeMahieu ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is a lineup lock for FantasyScore players at his low cap hit. Obviously his pace is unsustainable, but he hit .278 through 539 at-bats over the past three seasons, and at 26, his best offensive years are likely upon us. He is receiving everyday at-bats and is worth an add in the majority of seasonal leagues, too. Plus, home park Coors Field isn't a bad spot to play half your games.

Colorado Rockies 1B Justin Morneau and 2B DJ LeMahieu are back in the starting lineup Tuesday, Aug. 19, against the Kansas City Royals. Morneau is batting third and playing first base. LeMahieu is hitting eighth and playing second base.
Fantasy Tip: The Rockies face James Shields tonight. Although the game is being played in hitter-friendly Coors Field, it still isn't an ideal matchup. Leaving Morneau and LeMahieu on your bench an extra day isn't out of the question.

Updating previous reports, the Colorado Rockies have placed 3B Nolan Arenado (finger) on the 15-day disabled list because of a mallet fracture in his left middle finger. He will wear a splint on the finger until he meets with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas Graham Friday, May 30. In a corresponding move, INF Josh Rutledge was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Fantasy Tip: Rutledge, DJ LeMahieu and Charlie Culberson are all possibilities to see time at the hot corner for Colorado in Arenado's absence. Culberson, normally an outfielder, played the final seven innings at third base Friday after Arenado exited the game.

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu is a strong candidate to hit leadoff this year now that OF Dexter Fowler is gone, according to manager Walt Weiss. "His on-base percentage may not be prototypical of a leadoff guy. But I think that's going to develop because he has such great instincts for the game. That's going to be part of his game you will see him improve on," Weiss said.
