Toronto Blue Jays CEO Paul Beeston confirmed during a radio interview that general manager Alex Anthopoulos would return for the 2015 season. He also said he expected manager John Gibbons to come back next year.

"We've got more volume," Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said. "The question is, 'Is it enough quality to win?' Ideally, we would add. We want to maintain as much depth as we can." While improving the rotation is Anthopoulos's goal, he said obtaining a clear No. 1 ace is not a necessity.

"It will slow down for two or three days, but hopefully sooner than later," Anthopoulos said when asked for a timeframe on his managerial search. "I don't have a specific timeline, but we're making progress, moving in the right direction, moving along."
