Cardinals | Sam Bradford on track to start

Sat, 28 Jul 2018 11:30:46 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford is the clear favorite for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Steve Wilks. QBs Josh Rosen and Mike Glennon will be competing for the No. 2 quarterback job.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford received a lucrative contract this offseason and likely will be the Week 1 starter unless he suffers an injury. He has had success when he was healthy but does have a lengthy injury history. He probably should only be a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Cardinals | Rookie WR expects Sam Bradford to start

Wed, 27 Jun 2018 18:47:17 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Christian Kirk said he expects QB Sam Bradford to be the starting quarterback Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: The Cardinals selected Josh Rosen in the first round of the draft, but it looks like Bradford is the favorite for the job as long as he can stay healthy. Bradford is a solid quarterback when he is on the field but has a lengthy injury history. Bradford probably can be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in deeper leagues.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford rested and ready

Sun, 17 Jun 2018 18:30:36 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford (knee) saw more reps during team drills as minicamp progressed, and he said limiting his reps has helped him prepare physically and mentally. "I can really build on what we had done here and coming to training camp ready to go," Bradford said. "I feel like we've done a great job of sticking to the plan," Bradford said. "I think the plan has worked and my body feels really good right now."

Fantasy Tip: He is expected to open the year as the starter, and while Josh Rosen will be waiting in the wings, Bradford can be a midrange QB2 as long as long as he has the starting gig.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford likely to be Week 1 starter

Fri, 15 Jun 2018 16:02:46 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford likely will be the starting quarterback for the team's Week 1 game even though QB Josh Rosen performed well during offseason workouts, in the opinion of AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford was limited during workouts but should be a full participant when training camp starts. He has played well in the past but would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback. Rosen has a chance to start at some point in 2018 but would only be a keeper league option.

Cardinals | More practice for Sam Bradford

Tue, 05 Jun 2018 14:28:47 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford's (knee) practice repetitions are expected to increase in minicamp next week. He is on schedule in his rehabilitation, according to head coach Steve Wilks, and Bradford likes how he feels physically and mentally.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Bradford is on track to start the season as long as he doesn't run into any hindrances in his recovery. One setback or a trend of bad play could catapult Josh Rosen into the starting spot. Still, Bradford is a viable QB2 in what is seemingly an underrated offense.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford still the starter

Fri, 11 May 2018 19:25:58 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford is the starting quarterback, head coach Steve Wilks said Friday, May 11, but Wilks added that he wouldn't hold back QB Josh Rosen.

Fantasy Tip: Wilks simply reiterated what he said when the Cardinals drafted Rosen. Bradford will likely open the year as the starter, and he can be a solid QB2 as long as he is healthy and running the show. Rosen's value is limited to dynasty formats for now.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford remains QB1 for now

Thu, 26 Apr 2018 22:43:23 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford remains the team's projected Week 1 starter ahead of first-round pick QB Josh Rosen, according to head coach Steve Wilks, though he indicated that could change.

Fantasy Tip: Whoever lines up in Week 1, Bradford is most assuredly a bridge QB now, effectively keeping the spot warm for Rosen. How long that will be the arrangement is unclear, but Rosen's selection drains any fantasy value Bradford might've had.

Cardinals | Sam Bradford not having problems with knee

Thu, 19 Apr 2018 13:21:56 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford (knee) is not having any problems with his knee and has been limited during offseason workouts because there is no reason to rush things in April, according to head coach Steve Wilks.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford probably will wait until training camp before he is a full participant in practices. He has had some success during his career but has dealt with many injuries since entering the NFL. He probably can be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.
