Eagles | Sam Bradford impresses in first game

Mon, 24 Aug 2015 14:56:30 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford played solidly in his first action with the Eagles. WR Jordan Matthews said Bradford was great in the pocket. Bradford himself said it felt good to get back on the field and to take his first hit.

Fantasy Tip: The question now will be if Bradford can keep taking hits and remain healthy enough to stay on the field. He has torn his ACL twice in as many seasons, a big concern for a quarterback. He's a risky choice, but he can be a QB2 if he plays a full season.

Eagles | Sam Bradford set to play vs. Ravens

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 06:24:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens Saurday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's injury history adds risk to his fantasy stock, but the accurate passer has huge upside in the uptempo Philadelphia offense. The replacement level is high at quarterback, so those playing the waiting game at the position could strike it rich with Bradford in the late rounds. In the endgame of drafts, Bradford's upside will outweigh his risk in the majority of leagues.

Eagles | No problems for Sam Bradford

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 09:09:53 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) has not suffered any setbacks during training camp, according to head coach Chip Kelly.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford appears to be on track for the start of the regular season and should be the starting quarterback. Bradford has had success in the past but is a risky option because of his injury history. Owners should consider Bradford as a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Eagles | Tim Tebow to get major playing time

Sun, 16 Aug 2015 06:45:45 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Tim Tebow is expected to play roughly half the game Sunday, Aug. 16, against the Indianapolis Colts. QB Sam Bradford won't play, while QB Mark Sanchez is only expected to play eight to 10 snaps.

Eagles | Sam Bradford not wearing brace

Fri, 14 Aug 2015 14:02:36 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) has not been wearing a bulky brace on his surgically repaired knee during practice.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has struggled with injuries over the last several years, so he will be a risky fantasy option in all leagues. He will have some solid weapons to work with on offense and could be a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford out for preseason opener

Fri, 14 Aug 2015 09:10:37 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will not play in the preseason opener Sunday, Aug. 16, while QB Mark Sanchez will start. Bradford is expected to play in the second preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. "That's my decision," Kelly said. "He really wants to play. I don't think he's really happy with my decision. I just felt he's been out here for two weeks, done a really nice job. He'll get his first work against the Ravens when we get a chance to train with them for a couple days before we play, and he'll play in the Ravens game."

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a QB2 with some upside in this offense if he's the starter.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez trailing in QB competition

Tue, 11 Aug 2015 18:17:46 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez has fallen far behind QB Sam Bradford in the competition for the starting job. Bradford has spent nearly 90% of the time with the first-team offense, while Sanchez has received the other 10% of the reps since training camp started.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez did perform adequately after replacing Nick Foles last season, and he earned himself a two-year contract before the Eagles traded Foles to the St. Louis Rams for Bradford. Even if Sanchez doesn't open the season as the starter, he could see starts later in the season if Bradford suffers an injury, or if the Eagles simply want to make a change.

Eagles | Sam Bradford feels good

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 15:05:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) said his knee is feeling better than expected so far during training camp. "I think I feel better than what I was expecting. I thought my knee would hold up, but I wasn't sure," he said.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's injury history makes him a huge risk in fantasy football drafts. But if he can stay on the field, he has plenty of upside in Chip Kelly's high-octane offense. Bradford should be seen as a stable QB2 with loads of upside for QB1 production.

Eagles | Sam Bradford taking first-team reps

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 09:44:42 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is taking the first-team repetitions at quarterback during training camp ahead of QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez is Bradford's primary competition after returning from his second anterior cruciate ligament injury of his career. Bradford has made a strong early impression on head coach Chip Kelly.

Fantasy Tip: There is obviously a lot of risk in selecting Bradford for your fantasy football team this fall as a backup, but in this high-powered offense, he has plenty of upside as a strong QB2 option if he can stay on the field.

Eagles | Sam Bradford extension talks begin

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 06:00:25 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has been approached about a short-term contract extension by the club. He has one year and $12.95 million left on his deal.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has taken first-team reps in camp and figures to be a high-end QB2 option with some upside in this offense.

Eagles | Sam Bradford has no restrictions

Sun, 02 Aug 2015 08:50:53 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills Sunday, Aug. 2, and head coach Chip Kelly told reporters the quarterback doesn't have any restrictions.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has a nice Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons for his Eagles debut, but owners will want to follow his preseason performance, and make sure he makes it through healthy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford moving well

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 19:44:34 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has been working with WR Nelson Agholor, and Agholor said that Bradford has been "moving great" and "looking healthy."

Fantasy Tip: If Bradford is healthy enough to participate in a majority of training camp, he should open the season as the starter. His injury history makes him a risk, but he has QB1 upside and needs to be owned as a backup.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to be tagged?

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 14:41:18 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford could either be franchise tagged or transition tagged if he has a successful season and the Eagles don't want to give him a long-term contract. If Bradford were transition tagged, he would be able to sign with other teams, but the Eagles would have the option to match their offers.

Fantasy Tip: Health is the main, and really only, question for Bradford. And it probably will be as long as he's in the NFL. Quarterbacks have done fairly well under head coach Chip Kelly in Philadelphia so far. Bradford could be that next guy if he can stay on the field. He's too risky to be drafted as your starting fantasy quarterback, however.

Eagles | Sam Bradford plans to play at camp

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 12:30:36 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is expected to be ready to participate once training camp begins. Bradford has been rehabilitating his knee after suffering a second anterior cruciate ligament tear in as many years.

Fantasy Tip: There will still be a quarterback competition in Philadelphia, but Bradford will likely start as long as he is healthy and remains healthy. This will be an important position battle to keep tabs once training camps start. Bradford is still a backup fantasy quarterback if he is starter.

Eagles | Sam Bradford plans to play out deal

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 16:30:57 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford plans to play out the final year of his contract and will not sign a contract extension at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has dealt with injuries for most of his career and will be competing with Mark Sanchez for the starting quarterback job during training camp. Bradford could win the starting job but should not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in most leagues.

Eagles | Chip Kelly good for Sam Bradford?

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 13:29:25 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford may have his best opportunity yet in Philadelphia under head coach Chip Kelly, according to an anonymous NFL executive. "If Bradford had gone anywhere else you wouldn't even be talking about him," the source said. The executive added that there's hope with Kelly and the Eagles after Bradford's struggles with injuries the past couple years. "Chip Kelly is the one guy who can make Bradford a success."

Fantasy Tip: There's still plenty of skepticism and pessimism regarding Bradford's 2015 outlook, and deservedly so. He's suffered two ACL tears in as many seasons. Bradford should be considered a high-risk, medium-reward quarterback for the upcoming fantasy season.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to be ready for training camp?

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 14:16:30 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is expected to be in the final phase of his rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament once training camp begins. Bradford's second ACL tear in as many seasons will require more time to recover and the Eagles may not have a grasp on how ready he is to play before the regular season begins.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is definitely a risky investment this year. He's coming off back-to-back ACL tears and has spent a lot of time rehabbing, which could negatively affect the chemistry he'll have with his receivers and offensive teammates if he does indeed start. Do not draft Bradford as your starting fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | Sam Bradford in talks on deal

Wed, 17 Jun 2015 15:52:03 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has been in preliminary contract talks with the Eagles, but no real progress has been made. Bradford is due $12.985 million this year.

Fantasy Tip: The key for Bradford in 2015, as it has been throughout his career, is staying healthy. He has already suffered two torn ACLs. If he can stay on the field, he could exceed expectations in head coach Chip Kelly's up-tempo offense. For now, he's still a backup fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | Sam Bradford limited

Tue, 16 Jun 2015 08:17:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) will continue to see action in 7-on-7 drills but will not participate in 11-on-11 drills. Head coach Chip Kelly said he's hopeful Bradford will be ready for 11-on-11's in training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has upside because of the offense, but he has proven to be very brittle. He's worth a shot as a QB2.

Eagles | Zach Ertz building rapport with QB

Mon, 15 Jun 2015 13:00:16 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz has developed chemistry with QB Sam Bradford this offseason. The Bradford to Ertz connection has supposedly been commonplace at organized team activities. Ertz is excited for what Bradford can bring to the offense. "I think we will get back to some of the deep plays," Ertz said. "I'll do anything I can to get open." Ertz added that Bradford has a strong, accurate arm and can put the ball up high where Ertz is able to go up and catch it.

Fantasy Tip: Ertz likes to make the big play, and Bradford is able to help him with that. Ertz finished on the brink of TE1 status last year, despite splitting time with Brent Celek. If Bradford and Ertz can add a few more big plays, and if Ertz can improve on his measly three touchdowns, he can easily end up as a TE1 in 2015.

Eagles | Sam Bradford progressing

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 12:35:53 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is progressing well in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Bradford has been practicing more and has looked more mobile while doing so, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Bradford said that he's not sure if he'll be at 100% by the time training camp starts, however.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford may not be at full health before training camp, but he still has plenty of time to fully recover until the season commences. Even at full health, Bradford will still be a high-end backup fantasy quarterback at his best. He's a big injury risk with two torn ACLs already in his career.

Eagles | Sam Bradford looks hobbled

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 22:07:24 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) appeared to still be hobbled during organized team activities Tuesday, June 9, and he worked with a large brace on his leg while doing limited activity on the field.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is battling Mark Sanchez for the starting quarterback job, and he will need to get healthy in order to learn Chip Kellyís intricate offense. Sanchez has the leg up due to his experience in the system last season. The starter will be determined during training camp and the preseason, and thatís when fantasy values will be figured out.

Eagles | Sam Bradford improving at OTAs

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 11:08:05 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is participating in competitive drills as he and QB Mark Sanchez share first-team repetitions during organized team activities Tuesday, June 2. Bradford is rehabilitating from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered last season.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to start as long as he's fully healthy, but Sanchez isn't far behind. Whoever starts should be regarded as a QB2 in what should once again be a high-flying offense under head coach Chip Kelly.

Eagles | Sam Bradford not close to full health

Fri, 29 May 2015 05:58:01 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) doesn't appear close to 100% health, but he could still make it back in time to start Week 1. Head coach Chip Kelly insists Bradford is on schedule. Earlier this month Bradford practiced one week only to sit out practice the next. He said it wasn't a setback and that they just wanted to push his knee to see how it responded. Not practicing suggests that it didn't respond well.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford will likely be a popular QB2 flyer in traditional formats, and he could pay off. Don't forget about Mark Sanchez, though. A second year in the offense could lead to some decent production if he overtakes Bradford.

Eagles | Sam Bradford no lock to start

Thu, 28 May 2015 20:47:13 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is on schedule with his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but head coach Chip Kelly said Thursday, May 28, that the starting quarterback job is an open competition.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford should be considered the frontrunner to land the starting gig, but Mark Sanchez will apparently have a shot to earn the job, as well. Whoever ends up under center in Week 1 will have plenty of fantasy upside thanks to Kelly's offense.

Eagles | Sam Bradford throwing, 7-on-7 next week

Thu, 28 May 2015 09:42:43 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is throwing on the side in individual drills Thursday, May 28, according to Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. Kelly said Bradford will begin 7-on-7 drills next week.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a midrange QB2 and could present a nice value if he can stay healthy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford sitting out some drills

Wed, 27 May 2015 19:28:38 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) has not been participating in team drills during organized team activities this week, according to sources. Bradford has been limited throughout the offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford looks to be the leading candidate for the starting quarterback job at this point but likely will have to compete with Mark Sanchez during training camp. Owners should consider the winner of the competition as a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2015.

Eagles | Sam Bradford perfect for Philadelphia?

Thu, 14 May 2015 19:34:59 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is a perfect fit for Chip Kelly's offense because he can make all the throws with a "top-notch" arm, is a "better athlete than people think" and operates best out of a no-huddle attack, according to New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford may be the biggest risk-reward pick in fantasy drafts in 2015. If he can stay healthy, he could put up monster numbers in Kelly's offense.

Eagles | Deny Sam Bradford trade rumors

Sat, 02 May 2015 01:35:28 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was shopped to both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans, according to sources, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly has denied the rumors.

Fantasy Tip: One media member said Bradford was "being shopped like a slice of pizza." Bradford looks like he'll go into the season as the No. 1 QB for Philadelphia, but any contract talks may have Bradford holding the team over a barrel.

Eagles | Philly made big push for Marcus Mariota

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 21:51:59 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles offered the Tennessee Titans two first-round picks, one third-round pick, DT Fletcher Cox, CB Brandon Boykin, LB Mychal Kendricks and QB Sam Bradford in exchange for the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: After turning down a very generous offer, it is no surprise to learn that Tennessee plans on start Mariota in 2015. Consider him a low-end QB2 to open the year.

Browns | Sam Bradford not fond of Browns

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 15:22:00 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford isn't thrilled about the possibility of being traded to the Browns and is resistant to the idea of signing a contract extension with Cleveland. Bradford wasn't thrilled when the Browns first asked about him when he was with the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: This is all speculation leading up to the NFL Draft Thursday evening. However, if Bradford does land in Cleveland via a trade, it'll arguably be one of the better signal callers they've had under center in quite some time, regardless of Bradford's injury history. However, his fantasy value would take a hit with the move to the Browns, making him a QB2 with upside, at best.

Browns | Sam Bradford could go to Browns

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 14:40:52 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford could be traded to the Cleveland Browns, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: The quarterback situation would look somewhat more promising if Bradford was acquired. His weapons would be limited and he would still have to stay on the field, however. Bradford would be a very risky fantasy option in Cleveland, not only because of a weak supporting cast, but because of his tumultuous health history.

Eagles | Sam Bradford is Philly's guy

Mon, 27 Apr 2015 22:10:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was acquired to be the team's quarterback, not as a trade pawn. Bradford will only sign an extension with the Eagles with a no-trade clause, as he really wants to play in the system of head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

Fantasy Tip: If Bradford could stay healthy he might be a very, very interesting fantasy option in 2015. He has all the tools to be a tremendous quarterback in this league, but he has had a difficult time staying healthy in his career. In Philly he could be very dangerous if he lives up to the potential which made him the No. 1 overall pick in 2010.

Eagles | Philly pursuing Marcus Mariota?

Fri, 24 Apr 2015 14:54:06 -0700

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota could be selected by the Philadelphia Eagles if the team could make trades with the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans, according to one draft rumor. The rumor states the Eagles would trade QB Sam Bradford to the Browns for the 19th overall pick, then the Eagles would trade DT Fletcher Cox, LB Mychal Kendricks, the 19th overall pick and the 20th overall pick to the Titans for the second overall pick where they would select Mariota.

Fantasy Tip: There have been rumors that the Eagles will try to trade up in the first round for Mariota, but the team will need to move up significantly to have a chance at him. Mariota likely would have a good chance to win the starting job if he joins the Eagles, but would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback at this point.

Eagles | Sam Bradford contract talks are dormant

Thu, 23 Apr 2015 13:07:45 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has reportedly not had meaningful contract talks regarding an extension. Bradford is in the final year of his rookie deal. The quarterback is open to signing an extension if he is not traded.

Fantasy Tip: The lack of urgency to extend Bradford's deal has given way to rumors that Bradford may indeed be traded in order for the Eagles to pursue someone like Marcus Mariota in the NFL Draft. If Bradford does end up starting, he'll need to stay healthy before warranting starter consideration.

Eagles | No contract talks with Sam Bradford

Wed, 22 Apr 2015 22:52:22 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles and QB Sam Bradford have yet to make significant progress on a contract extension sparking speculation the quarterback might be traded again, although head coach Chip Kelly insists Bradford won't be used as a bargaining chip.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's fantasy outlook is a little murky, as it isn't entirely clear where he'll be playing in 2015. If he secures the starting job he is a QB2 in most standard fantasy leagues with a lot of upside in Chip Kelly's high-octane offense.

Eagles | Sam Bradford considered quitting

Mon, 30 Mar 2015 10:59:04 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) considered quitting football after he suffered his second torn anterior cruciate ligament but was talked out of the idea by former college coach Josh Heupel. Heupel said Bradford is one of the most competitive players he has coached and that Bradford wants to come back and prove himself.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job during training camp. Bradford has played well in the past bur should be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he wins the starting job.

Eagles | Philly high on Sam Bradford

Wed, 25 Mar 2015 13:46:21 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was valued high by head coach Chip Kelly and owner Jeffrey Lurie before they traded for him this offseason. Lurie said this week that the Eagles evaluated Bradford as "the best young quarterback we'd seen… probably since Peyton Manning coming out of college" leading up to the 2010 NFL Draft. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who worked with Bradford while with the St. Louis Rams, was maybe the strongest advocate of Bradford before the trade went down.

Fantasy Tip: The biggest obstacle for Bradford will be his health, as he's missed most of the last two seasons with knee issues. He could be a low-end fantasy starter most weeks because of the Eagles' offensive system, but you shouldn't draft him as anything more than a midrange QB2 with upside.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to be traded?

Mon, 16 Mar 2015 12:15:57 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is still the subject of trade speculation as coaches attending the West Virginia University Pro Day posited that Bradford could be traded to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for the second overall pick in the NFL Draft this year.

Fantasy Tip: If Bradford does get traded to Tennessee, it seems that Philadelphia would likely draft QB Marcus Mariota, assuming he doesn't get drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the first overall pick. Of course, this is merely speculation at this point. For now, Bradford is a low-level QB2 in the fantasy football realm.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford had an offer made for him by the Cleveland Browns, and a first-round pick was believed to be offered, according to NFL Network's Charley Casserly.

Fantasy Tip: Eagles head coach Chip Kelly opened some eyes when he disclosed a team offered him a first-round pick for Bradford. Bradford is a midrate QB2 with some upside in Kelly's fast-paced offense.

Eagles | Philly confident in Sam Bradford

Wed, 11 Mar 2015 14:18:32 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has confidence from the coaching staff that he can be their starting quarterback moving forward. "I think he's got an outstanding skill set," head coach Chip Kelly said. "He's a big, strong, physical quarterback. He's over 6-4, he's 240 pounds, he's smart, he's intelligent. He's one of the most accurate throwers when you see him throw the football. I think he's smart; I think he's wired right." Kelly also emphasized the fact that offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur worked with Bradford for a year with the St. Louis Rams, and he vouched for the oft-injured quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: The biggest hurdle for Bradford will be to stay healthy. If he can do that, he could be a low-end fantasy starter many weeks because of the system he's in. However, to be safe, draft him as a late-round flier in standard leagues. Not many fantasy owners will be jumping at the chance to owner Bradford in 2015, anyway.

Eagles | Sam Bradford has been throwing

Wed, 11 Mar 2015 14:00:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford said he has been participating in a throwing program for a few weeks now.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is focused on getting healthy before the 2015 commences. He has torn his anterior cruciate ligament twice in as many years. Even if he can stay healthy next season, he shouldn't be considered a starting fantasy quarterback.

Eagles | Eagles getting offers for Sam Bradford

Wed, 11 Mar 2015 10:48:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is still getting interest from other teams, as head coach Chip Kelly said a team offered him a first-round pick for Bradford this morning.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Bradford were to be moved again, he is an extremely risky fantasy football option in 2015 as the Eagles have moved all their best playmakers, not to mention Bradford has to prove he can stay healthy for a full season.

Eagles | Sam Bradford obtained officially

Tue, 10 Mar 2015 15:56:04 -0700

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford has officially been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles also receive a 2015 fifth-round draft pick and surrender QB Nick Foles and a 2015 sixth-round draft pick and a 2016 second-round draft pick. However, the 2016 second-round pick will go back to Philadelphia if Bradford does not start.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles have lost RB LeSean McCoy and WR Jeremy Maclin already this offseason, so Bradford doesn't have as much to work with as he would have. Still, he seems to be going to a better offense and the Eagles could still make some offensive acquisitions. That being said, Bradford should still not be considered a starting fantasy quarterback, especially with his injury history.

Eagles | Philly close to acquiring Sam Bradford

Tue, 10 Mar 2015 13:06:04 -0700

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford is close to being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for QB Nick Foles, according to sources. The Rams will also receive draft-pick compensation in the trade.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford has a chance to be the Eagles starting quarterback in 2015 if he is healthy. He will have some weapons to work with in the Eagles' offense but should not be considered as more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in drafts.

Tue, 24 Feb 2015 14:17:21 -0800

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford will probably not be traded this offseason despite interest from the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills. As of Tuesday, Feb. 24, no teams have contacted the Rams about trading Bradford.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Bradford will be staying in St. Louis after all, though there is still plenty of time for that to change this offseason. Bradford remains a backup fantasy quarterback at best when healthy.

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford is not being pursued by the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Buffalo is still certainly in need of a quarterback, but Bradford seems to be staying in St. Louis. Nonetheless, both Bradford and whoever the starting quarterback will be for the Bills should be considered no more than fantasy backups in 2015.

Browns | Cleveland interested in Sam Bradford

Sat, 21 Feb 2015 10:52:38 -0800

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford has reportedly drawn interest from the Cleveland Browns, but Bradford will likely be staying with the Rams.

Fantasy Tip: It was originally believed that Bradford would have to compete for the starting quarterback position in St. Louis, but the tone has changed and Bradford still seems to firmly in the starting position. Still, he missed all of last year and missed about half of the 2013 season. He's a big injury risk and shouldn't be considered in drafts at this time.
