Eagles | Zach Ertz not worried about QB situation

Thu, 19 May 2016 19:13:18 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz said he isn't going to run his routes any differently for QB Sam Bradford than he would for QB Carson Wentz.

Fantasy Tip: Ertz has TE1 potential, but consistency has been an issue throughout his career. The quarterback situation shouldn't impact his value too much, and Ertz's upside is worth taking a chance on if you wait until later in your draft to address the tight end spot.

Eagles | Jordan Matthews has rapport with Bradford

Thu, 19 May 2016 09:58:20 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews flew to Oklahoma in March to work with QB Sam Bradford, and Matthews is OK with Bradford's trade request earlier in the offseason.

"If I'm cool with it, then everybody should be cool with it," Matthews said. "Look, if I want to be here, and I'm happy with it, and we can go out there and just compete, that's all I want to focus on. That's all that matters."

Fantasy Tip: Matthews had a decent 85-997-8 season last year, but he was really hamstrung by the absence of a legitimate target opposite of him. Rueben Randle and Chris Givens should help deter double coverages from him. Matthews is a high-end WR2 in fantasy, while Bradford's fragility makes him a low-end QB2.

Eagles | Sam Bradford works with first-team

Wed, 18 May 2016 09:47:31 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities Tuesday, May 17, with QB Chase Daniel taking repetitions with the second-team and QB Carson Wentz with the third-team. "I've actually talked to Sam since he's back," head coach Doug Pederson said, "and I told him: My feelings haven't changed. He's my guy. He's the No. 1 guy. I want him to embrace that and not look backward. Look forward."

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to enter the season as the starter, but he may not have a long leash if he struggles, especially since Pederson has a history with Daniel and has high praise for him. Regardless, Wentz is the QB of the future in Philly. Bradford is nothing more than a midrange fantasy backup, but he can put up low-end QB1 numbers in the right matchups.

Eagles | Philly's QBs split reps

Tue, 17 May 2016 14:27:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QBs Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz all received the same amount of repetitions during practice Tuesday, May 17. Head coach Doug Pederson said Bradford will receive more reps once training camp begins since he will be the starter.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford will enter training camp as the starter, but the team is splitting snaps because they want Wentz to learn the offense. Bradford should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues in 2016. Wentz likely will not have much value in standard leagues but should be an attractive option in keeper leagues.

Eagles | Carson Wentz does not expect tension

Fri, 13 May 2016 13:39:58 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz said he expects to have a good relationship with QB Sam Bradford and does not expect any tension in the quarterback room. "I think the relationship with him, and I believe with the other quarterbacks, will be great," Wentz said. "It will be a really competitive atmosphere. Hopefully, we'll learn together, grow together and really push each other." Wentz said he does not care what his role is as long as the team is winning.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to begin the season as the starting quarterback, but Wentz could take over the job at some point if Bradford struggles. Bradford probably would be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues, while Wentz could be an attractive option in keeper leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford reporting Monday

Mon, 09 May 2016 05:42:22 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford informed team personnel he'll report to offseason workouts Monday, May 9.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford looked great early on last season before things began to unravel. He's extremely fragile and hasn't been consistent doing more than short-range throws. It's a make-or-break year, but he's a risk as a low-end QB1 and a better backup in fantasy.

Eagles | Sam Bradford may report soon

Fri, 06 May 2016 16:55:52 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford may report for offseason workouts in the next week or two, according to LB Connor Barwin, who has recently talked with Bradford.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is upset with the current quarterback situation with the Eagles, but the team has said that he will be the starting quarterback this season. Bradford played well at times in 2015 but is a risky option for owners because of his injury history. He likely will be a No. 2 quarterback in most leagues in 2016.

Eagles | Sam Bradford not talking with coach

Sun, 01 May 2016 14:05:12 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has not talked with head coach Doug Pederson since asking for a trade, according to Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is expected to be the starting quarterback in 2016, but he is still upset that the team traded up for QB Carson Wentz. Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see what the Eagles will do at quarterback. Bradford likely would be a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues if he is with the team Week 1.

Broncos | Denver unlikely to pursue big-name QB

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 20:28:33 -0700

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford are unlikely to be pursued by the Denver Broncos after the team selected QB Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft, but Denver could still add a veteran quarterback at some point.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch is no lock to start as a rookie, and even if he does beat out Mark Sanchez for the starting gig, he would be a low-end QB2.

Broncos | DEN moving on from Sam Bradford

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 06:45:46 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is an option the Denver Broncos are moving away from because the Broncos don't believe the Eagles are willing to trade him, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is a mid-to-low QB2 with the Eagles but would receive an uptick with a move to the Broncos.
