Wed, 02 Apr 2014 16:45:51 -0700

Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa blames himself for communication issues with C Wilin Rosario on opening day Monday, March 31. De La Rosa shook off Rosario consistently, and the battery mates couldn't get on the same page with a runner on second base when the signs were changed. Pitching coach Jim Wright has met with both De La Rosa and Rosario, and the two will work together during a side session Wednesday, April 2. There's currently no plan to have De La Rosa use a personal catcher.

"Everybody thinks I'm mad at him. I don't try to show up anyone. I told him before the game if I do something, I'm not trying to show him up. But people are going to think about things."
