Rockies | Wilin Rosario dialed in

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 18:51:09 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B Wilin Rosario is hitting .433 over his last nine games with four RBI and four runs scored.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has been earning some more playing time recently, and he has been strong at home all season where he is hitting .387 with a 1.010 OPS. When he is in the lineup at Coors Field, he is worth considering as a cap-friendly play at FantasyScore.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario out of the lineup

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 16:03:21 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B Wilin Rosario comes out of the starting lineup Thursday, July 2, against the Arizona Diamondbacks and RHP Jeremy Hellickson.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) comes out as the Rockies return to a National League ballpark and lose the privilege of a designated hitter. Rosario is worth using for FantasyScore purposes on the rare occasions when he draws a start in the field.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario serving as DH

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 15:45:14 -0700

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario is serving as the designated hitter and batting sixth against Oakland Athletics SP Kendall Graveman Monday, June 29. 1B Ben Paulsen is starting at first base and hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) and Paulsen ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) are both much less attractive on FantasyScore away from Coors Field. Rosario is hitting only .220 (13-for-59) with two home runs and five RBI, while Paulsen only has two of his five home runs on the road. It doesn't help that they're playing at pitcher-friendly O.co Coliseum tonight, either.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario starting

Sat, 27 Jun 2015 12:37:59 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B Wilin Rosario will start and bat sixth Saturday, June 27, against SP Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has tallied seven hits in his last three starts, including one homer. Lincecum has struggled somewhat in recent starts, allowing an average of 3.6 earned runs in his last six outings and averaging just 3.8 strikeouts in that same span. There are worse first basemen to roster on FantasyScore than Rosario.

Rockies | Ben Paulsen starting at first base

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 18:28:49 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B/OF Ben Paulsen will play first base and bat against San Francisco Giants SP Tim Hudson Friday, June 26. 1B Wilin Rosario is getting the night off.

Fantasy Tip: After getting off to a hot start in May, Paulsen ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is only batting .234 in June with two home runs and seven RBIs. Unless you need cap relief in FantasyScore, look elsewhere for a starting option at first base.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario playing first base

Sat, 20 Jun 2015 10:36:45 -0700

Colorado Rockies C/1B Wilin Rosario is starting at first base and batting fifth against Milwaukee Brewers SP Kyle Lohse Saturday, June 20. 1B Ben Paulsen is getting the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has a rather favorable matchup this afternoon. He is 3-for-9 against Lohse in his career and is batting .350 at home this season, so FantasyScore owners who want to use cap space at other positions might want to consider him.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario on the bench

Sat, 13 Jun 2015 09:58:05 -0700

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario is not in the starting lineup against Miami Marlins SP Mat Latos Saturday, June 13. 1B Ben Paulsen will start at first base and is batting sixth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) likely will return to the lineup in the near future. Paulsen ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has been part of a platoon for the last few weeks and is batting .300 this month. Owners on FantasyScore could consider Paulsen as an option for their lineups.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario starting vs. Fish

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 13:41:26 -0700

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario is batting seventh and playing first base against Miami Marlins SP David Phelps Thursday, June 11.

Fantasy Tip: When in the lineup, Rosario ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has performed well this season. He has a .296/317/.490 slash line with 12 runs, four home runs and 12 RBI over 36 games and 98 at-bats. At a shallow catcher position, Rosario is a great upside play at a reasonable cap hit for FantasyScore players Thursday.

Rockies | Ben Paulsen not starting

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 11:04:10 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B Ben Paulsen is not in the starting lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, June 10. C Wilin Rosario will be the starting first baseman and is batting fifth against Cardinals SP Carlos Martinez.

Fantasy Tip: Paulsen ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) likely will return to the lineup in the next game or two. Rosario ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is hitting .279 against right-handed pitchers this season with three home runs and nine RBI. He could be a solid starting option for owners on FantasyScore.

Rockies | Wilin Rosario sitting vs. Cards

Mon, 08 Jun 2015 14:46:47 -0700

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario is not in the starting lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals Monday, June 8.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Rosario ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) from your fantasy lineups Monday. He is no longer catching, but holds the eligibility, so he holds seasonal value in two-catcher, cavernous mixed and NL-only formats. Currently, Rosario has a .301/.323/.501 slash line with 11 runs, four home runs and 12 RBI over 34 games and 96 plate appearances.
