Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque Wednesday, April 22, where he'll play first base regularly. RP John Axford was called up in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) wasn't very useful to owners aside from those in deep NL-only leagues because of his inconsistent playing time. On the bright side, he did have five hits in 14 at-bats (.357) with a home run. You can now cut bait on him if you were holding him in deep mixed leagues.

Colorado Rockies 1B/C Wilin Rosario is starting at first base and batting eighth against the Los Angeles Dodgers Friday, April 17.
Fantasy Tip: Facing Clayton Kershaw is no easy task for Rosario ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) Friday. It is likely best to avoid him in all fantasy formats. At best, Rosario is a low-priced flier for FantasyScore players.

Colorado Rockies 1B Justin Morneau is not in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodger Friday, April 17. C/1B Wilin Rosario is starting at first base and batting fourth.
Fantasy Tip: Typically, Rosario ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) is a nice daily option against southpaws, but Clayton Kershaw isn't your typical lefty. It would be wise to avoid both Rosario and Morneau in all fantasy formats Friday.

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario is receiving the start at first base against Chicago Cubs SP Travis Wood Friday, April 10. Rosario is hitting fifth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) becomes a strong daily play now that he's in the starting lineup for the Rockies' home opener Friday. Rosario excelled against southpaws in 2014 to the tune of a .317 average and eight home runs in 101 at-bats.

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario has just one at-bat through the first three games, but he made it count Wednesday, April 8, against the Milwaukee Brewers. Rosario had a game-winning pinch-hit solo home run in the 10th inning.
Fantasy Tip: Baby Bull made it a no-doubter, too, as he hit a rocket to straightaway center field off Francisco Rodriguez. At $4,400 (or 8.8% of cap) he is still not worth using despite the heroics, as he is the third catcher for manager Walt Weiss. That could change, though, if he keeps coming through when giving the opportunity.

Colorado Rockies C Wilin Rosario lost his arbitration case with the team Wednesday, Feb. 18, and he'll make $2.8 million this year instead of the $3.3 million he requested.
Fantasy Tip: Rosario will share time behind the dish this year with Nick Hundley. He was exposed against right-handed pitchers and away from Coors Field, but has the power to be a midrange starting fantasy catcher. He'll be cheaper this year, as well.
