New York Yankees SP Ivan Nova said Monday, March 3, one of his goals at the beginning of spring training was to be more consistent. He threw 31 of his 35 pitches for strikes in his Grapefruit League start against the Washington Nationals, walking none and striking out four. He was so economical, he had to go to the bullpen after he'd been removed from the game to throw about 10 more pitches. "It was a great curveball. It's a great 12-to-6," C Brian McCann said. "When he's throwing that for strikes and working down in the zone with that two-seamer, his stuff is as good as it gets."
