Saints | Mark Ingram will be the bellcow

Tue, 23 Aug 2016 19:51:58 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is expected to shoulder most of the load in the backfield with all of his underlings struggling in one facet of the game or another. He is capable of playing three downs, is capable of doing big things catching the ball out of the backfield and he is the best of the group in pass protection, too.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram is a bona fide RB1 and fantasy owners will like him because he isn't in a timeshare and will see a bulk of the carries in NOLA as long as he can stay healthy. Those timeshare situations can make fantasy owners pull out their hair. This isn't one of those situations.

Saints | Tim Hightower the backup?

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 17:13:12 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Tim Hightower is the best bet to serve as the primary backup for RB Mark Ingram, according to beat writer Nick Underhill.

Fantasy Tip: Given Ingram's injury issues, Hightower could easily end up starting a few games. Grab him in the later rounds, especially if you are an Ingram owner.

Saints | Mark Ingram wants to show versatility

Mon, 04 Jul 2016 19:29:29 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram said his goal this year is to remain a factor in the passing game and force opposing defenses to account for him on every snap.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram had 50 catches last year before an injury ended his season early. The injury concerns aren't going away, but Ingram has RB2 potential and should be available in the middle rounds.

Saints | Mark Ingram the go-to back when healthy

Sun, 03 Jul 2016 20:38:58 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram was on the field for 62.6% of the offensive snaps, the highest percentage of any running back on the roster, in the games he played in last year.

Fantasy Tip: If not for a late injury, Ingram's 2015 season would have been considered a breakout campaign. He logged 1,174 total yards and 50 catches through 12 games, proving he is a much more complete back than he is given credit for. He has RB2 potential, and he will likely be available at a RB3 price.

Saints | New Orleans backfield taking shape

Thu, 16 Jun 2016 16:45:13 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is the lead running back for the Saints, while RB Tim Hightower appears to be the backup, according to Larry Holder of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. RB C.J. Spiller holds the No. 3 spot.

Fantasy Tip: Hightower proved his worth later on last season in New Orleans when Ingram was sidelined. Ingram is still an RB1 when healthy, though. Spiller is a mid-round option in PPR leagues, while Hightower is a late-round handcuff consideration for Ingram in standard formats.

Saints | Mark Ingram restructures

Wed, 30 Mar 2016 09:28:03 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram converted some of his base salary into a signing bonus Wednesday, March 30. The restructure didn't include a pay cut or any new money. The Saints created $1.49 million in cap space for 2016 by converting $2.235 million of Ingram's $3 million salary into a signing bonus. They still will have to account for that $1.49 million in the future, but now it will be spread out evenly over the life of Ingram's contract through 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram has been a bit of a disappointment, but he still figures to be busy in the Saints' backfield. He's a high-end RB3 in fantasy.

Saints | Tim Hightower to be No. 1 back

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 08:02:25 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Tim Hightower is expected to receive the bulk of the carries for the team going forward, with RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) on injured reserve, because of their similar running styles. RB C.J. Spiller's role appears unlikely to change.

Fantasy Tip: The 29-year-old Hightower ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) was signed by the Saints last month and hadn't played in the NFL since 2011 prior to that. He has 12 carries for 48 yards and could be a solid pickup as a flex player for deeper fantasy leagues down the stretch.

Saints | Mark Ingram requires surgery

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 06:40:27 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) will have surgery on his left shoulder to repair a torn rotator cuff Thursday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Tim Hightower and C.J. Spiller will take over for Ingram. Hightower is creating some buzz as possibly taking the early down work with Spiller in on passing downs. At $2,000 (4.0% of cap) each, Hightower is a cheap flyer on FantasyScore against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Saints | Mark Ingram placed on IR

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 14:06:32 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 9, according to a source. He is out for the rest of the year.

Fantasy Tip: Again, C.J. Spiller ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Tim Hightower ($2,000, 4.0%) are both worth picking up if they're available in your league(s). Hightower has more promise, especially in standard leagues, as he better fits Ingram's mold. Spiller should continue his erratic pass-catching duties.

Saints | More touches for C.J. Spiller, Tim Hightower?

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 11:35:05 -0800

New Orleans Saints RBs C.J. Spiller and Tim Hightower could be in line for more snaps if RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) is out for the season. Spiller is averaging just 13.5 snaps and 5.5 touches per game with the Saints this year for 108 rushing yards, 216 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Spiller has just four touches in the last two games.

Fantasy Tip: Spiller ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has become a fantasy afterthought with the Saints this year after being a popular sleeper pick in the preseason. He would still be worth adding if he's available, but Tim Hightower ($2,000) better fits the role Ingram would leave behind, especially in standard scoring leagues.

Saints | Mark Ingram's season could be over

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 10:45:00 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) is dealing with a serious shoulder injury, and there is some fear his season could be over.

Fantasy Tip: C.J. Spiller ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Tim Hightower ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) figure to take over, and neither have an extremely high ceiling. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't a great matchup, but for the basement price on FantasyScore, Spiller is a decent flyer.

Saints | Mark Ingram, Marques Colston probable

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 14:56:59 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) and WR Marques Colston (non-injury) both practiced in full Friday, Dec. 4, and are probable in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: The Panthers are a tough matchup for the Saints all-around, making Ingram ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) and Colston ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) tough sells on FantasyScore. The Saints may try to involve the running game more with Willie Snead unlikely to play, but paying up for Ingram doesn't seem wise in this one.

Saints | Two Saints have full practice

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 14:59:59 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) and WR Marques Colston (non-injury) were full participants in practice Thursday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: The Carolina Panthers have been accommodating to running backs in the passing game, which favors Ingram ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) this week. He should be viewed as a RB2 on FantasyScore. Colston ($3,000, 6.0%) has been consistently inconsistent throughout 2015, so he should be avoided, unless Willie Snead doesn't play.

Saints | Mark Ingram fully practices

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 16:53:35 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: The Carolina Panthers have been fairly stingy against the run this year, but more vulnerable to running backs in the passing game. Ingram ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) isn't a RB1 this week, but he's still worth starting in FantasyScore lineups.

Saints | Mark Ingram listed as probable

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 13:38:41 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 27, and is listed as probable for the Week 12 game against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) should receive his normal amount of touches on offense despite dealing with the injury. He averaged at least 5.0 yards per carry in three of his last four games but has gone three games without a rushing touchdown. Ingram could be a solid option in most league because of his production in the running game as well as his work as a receiver.

Saints | Mark Ingram limited

Thu, 26 Nov 2015 16:01:03 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 26, but his injury is not expected to be a major concern.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) should be able to play this weekend, and he's really been the Saints' most consistent offensive player aside from Drew Brees. The Houston Texans, Ingram's Week 12 opponent, have been mediocre at best against running backs this year, so Ingram is a good start for FantasyScore lineups.

Saints | Mark Ingram's injury not a concern

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 15:12:35 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram's (shoulder) injury isn't expected to be a major concern after resting last week during the bye. It's unclear, however, if his shoulder injury is the same one that limited him in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) had his fewest number of carries in his last game because of the injury. The Houston Texans are a nice matchup for running backs, so expect the Saints to get Ingram back to full involvement for this one, making him a pretty safe daily pick.

Saints | Mark Ingram limited Wednesday

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 14:15:04 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has had two weeks to heal now, so one would think he'd be able to suit up this weekend, but he should still be monitored over the next few days. He has a decent matchup versus the Houston Texans, so don't overlook him for your Week 12 FantasyScore lineups.

Saints | Mark Ingram banged up

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 17:39:29 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (undisclosed) exited against the Washington Redskins with an unspecified injury but returned in the second half and finished with five carries for 77 yards and three catches for 21 yards in a 47-14 loss.

Fantasy Tip: It remains unclear what sent Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) to the locker room, but with the Saints on bye in Week 11, there is a good chance he will be at full strength when he returns to action.

Saints | Mark Ingram to see heavier workload

Mon, 02 Nov 2015 13:53:05 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is likely to see a heavier workload with RB Khiry Robinson (leg) out for the season, and Ingram could also be in line for more goal-line work. RB C.J. Spiller could also see an increase in workload, but the Saints are bringing him along slowly coming off injury, and he has averaged 16.7 snaps a game and hasn't been involved in more than 21 plays in seven games this year.

Fantasy Tip: It's inevitable that the fantasy values of Ingram and Spiller will increase with this injury to Robinson. You should feel more comfortable using Spiller in a flex spot on FantasyScore in the right matchups, and Ingram becomes a much safer running back selection in daily formats, as well.

Saints | Mark Ingram totals 119 yards

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 19:15:04 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram ran 16 times for 80 yards in the Week 8 game against the New York Giants. He also added four receptions for 39 yards and was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) was unable to find the end zone in a game featuring 13 total offensive touchdowns, so that was rather disappointing for his FantasyScore owners.

Saints | Mark Ingram scores twice

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 21:14:31 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram had 22 carries for 46 yards and two touchdowns and three catches for 10 yards in a 31-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Although Ingram ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) didn't find much running room, he salvaged a solid point total at FantasyScore thanks to a pair of touchdowns. His status as the team's goal-line back should keep him relevant throughout the year.

Saints | Mark Ingram piles up 128 yards

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 22:36:17 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram carried 17 times for 77 yards in the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys. He also added six receptions for 51 yards and he was targeted seven times.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) had a healthy yardage total, but no visits to the end zone hurt a little for FantasyScore players. He should have another solid stat line in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Saints | New Orleans run game lacking

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 10:41:29 -0700

The New Orleans Saints running game is talented with RBs Mark Ingram, C.J. Spiller and Khiry Robinson, but they currently rank in the bottom fourth of the league in rushing yards per game (79) and yards per carry (3.36).

Fantasy Tip: Things won't get any easier for the running game if Drew Brees has to sit out this weekend against the Carolina Panthers, who have a stiff defensive front against the run. Even if Brees does play it could be tough sledding for the Saints ground game.

Saints | Mark Ingram involved in passing game

Sun, 13 Sep 2015 18:56:09 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram had nine carries for 24 yards and eight catches for 98 yards in a 31-19 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Sunday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: With C.J. Spiller ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) out of action, Ingram ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) was an every-down back. If Spiller is out again in Week 2, Ingram should make a strong play against a Tampa Bay defense that was shredded in Week 1.

Saints | Mark Ingram may be used as receiver

Sat, 12 Sep 2015 08:29:54 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram may be more involved in the passing game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. Ingram was used more as a receiver during the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) will receive more of the carries during the game and any receptions will help his fantasy value. Owners on FantasyScore could consider Ingram as a starting option for Week 1.

Saints | Mark Ingram being featured

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 08:31:35 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram has been featured as a receiver out of the backfield in practice Thursday, Aug. 20.

Fantasy Tip: C.J. Spiller (knee) is out, so it remains to be seen whether this will carry over into the season. It is a great sign, though, as Ingram has only caught 53 balls in four years. Ingram is a mid-to-low RB2, but he could be on the rise.

Saints | Mark Ingram returns to practice

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 10:19:52 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (ankle, foot) participated in organized team activities Wednesday, June 10.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram missed a few practices this offseason but does not appear to be dealing with any serious injuries. He should see a good amount of carries this season but probably will lose some playing time to the other running backs on the roster. Ingram could be a solid No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues.

Saints | Mark Ingram sidelined

Fri, 05 Jun 2015 06:37:31 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (foot, ankle) was out of practice Thursday, June 4, but head coach Sean Payton said it wasn't due to anything significant. Ingram was out last Thursday due to what Payton described as a minor foot/ankle issue. It's unclear if he has missed the entirety of the last two weeks because one practice session per week is open to the media.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram is expected to share a lot of work with C.J. Spiller, but he should see plenty of work between the tackles on the first two downs. Ingram is little more than a low-end RB2 with some upside in TD-only leagues.

Saints | C.J. Spiller could see most touches

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 06:20:32 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB C.J. Spiller could lead the team in touches over RB Mark Ingram, in the opinion of beat writer Nick Underhill.

Fantasy Tip: Spiller appears to fit the team's no-huddle style well, and Ingram isn't much of a receiver. Spiller could fall into the role that Darren Sproles did so well in NOLA. He's a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues, while Ingram is on par with that for the between-the-tackles work.

Saints | Mark Ingram wants ball more

Mon, 09 Mar 2015 11:38:50 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram said he wants an increased workload, and he could get it coming off his new deal. He just signed a four-year, $16 million deal to come back to New Orleans.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints want to win now with QB Drew Brees nearing the end of his career. Ingram is a formidable running back when healthy, though Khiry Robinson will cut into his playing time. Still, he has RB2 potential in that offense.

Saints | Mark Ingram re-signs with Saints

Sat, 07 Mar 2015 18:10:31 -0800

Free-agent RB Mark Ingram has agreed on a four-year, $16 million deal to return to the New Orleans Saints Saturday, March 7.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram is coming off the best season of his career, finishing with 964 yards and nine touchdowns. He should be the early-down and goal-line back in New Orleans again in 2015, but in the Saints pass-heavy offense, he is unlikely to be more than a mid-range RB2.

Eagles | Philly interested in Mark Ingram?

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 16:49:47 -0800

New Orleans Saints impending free-agent RB Mark Ingram has been rumored to be of interest to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram in Chip Kelly's up-tempo, dynamic offense might be heaven for fantasy football owners, even if he's sharing some time with Darren Sproles and Chris Polk. Ingram showed us in 2014 that he has what it takes to be an RB1, and he could take it to the next level if he's playing for the Eagles.

Saints | Three RBs on Saints' roster

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 16:29:11 -0800

Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Pierre Thomas' (Saints) release by the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, March 4, will save $1.735 million against the salary cap, and he carries an $830,000 "dead money" charge. Thomas would have counted $2.565 million against the salary cap this year. The Saints currently have three running backs on roster: RBs Khiry Robinson, Edwin Baker and Tim Hightower. RBs Travaris Cadet and Mark Ingram are both scheduled to be free agents.

Fantasy Tip: The release of PT cruiser isn't unexpected, since his role had quickly diminished over the last couple of seasons. If Ingram isn't re-signed, Robinson will have a clear path to the lead-back duties in New Orleans. And in an offense as potent as this, that'll make him very intriguing to fantasy football owners. Robinson could head into 2015 as a low-end RB1.

Saints | Sean Payton wants Mark Ingram back

Thu, 19 Feb 2015 17:00:50 -0800

New Orleans Saints impending free-agent RB Mark Ingram is coveted by head coach Sean Payton, and Payton is hoping the team can find a way to re-sign him. "Hopefully he's someone that's back in the black and gold. Because he's been a big part of our success offensively," Payton said of Ingram, who finally had a breakout year in his fourth NFL season, running for 964 yards and nine touchdowns and earning his first Pro Bowl invite as an alternate.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints will have to get creative with their salary cap in order to bring back Ingram. At first glance, our guess would be that Ingram moves on and Khiry Robinson becomes the Saints' feature back in 2015. If that's the case, Robinson will be an intriguing RB3 with upside for more in this potent offense.

Saints | Mark Ingram's status depends on cap

Wed, 18 Feb 2015 13:01:03 -0800

New Orleans Saints impending free-agent RB Mark Ingram's future with the team depends on Ingram's market value in free agency and the team's lack of salary-cap flexibility, according to general manager Mickey Loomis. Loomis didn't rule out re-signing Ingram if the two sides can agree on his value before March 10. Ingram rushed for a career-high 964 yards last season and will be one of the top free-agent running backs on the market.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints' first priority is getting under the salary cap before free agency starts, so it looks increasingly likely that Ingram will be on the open market. He'll be a welcome addition to any team, but his fantasy value is to be determined until his future is clearer. If he departs New Orleans, Khiry Robinson will be a hot target in fantasy drafts as an RB2.

Saints | Mark Ingram wants to return to Saints

Thu, 22 Jan 2015 15:37:31 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram, who will be eligible for free agency this offseason, wants to return to the team next year, and he thinks the interest is mutual. Ingram ran for 964 yards on 226 attempts and nine touchdowns last year, which were all career highs. His 74.2 yards per game ranked him eighth in the league.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints said late last season that they were prepared to let Ingram test the free-agent waters, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. If he doesn't return, Khiry Robinson could be in line for some nice fantasy success in New Orleans. If Ingram returns, he should be expected to remain the lead back in a backfield that would remain crowded.

Saints | Mark Ingram expected to play

Fri, 05 Dec 2014 14:08:37 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (ankle, toe) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as probable for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram had a terrific performance in Week 13 and should continue to receive most of the carries in the running game. He will be playing a Carolina Panthers run defense that has improved some over the last few weeks but still has had problems with running backs during the season. Ingram costs $6,800 on FantasyScore and could be an attractive option for owners.

Saints | New Orleans RBs practice

Thu, 04 Dec 2014 15:07:18 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (ankle, toe) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 4. RBs Khiry Robinson (forearm) and Travaris Cadet (hamstring) participated fully.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($6,800, 13.6%) should still get the majority of work out of the backfield with Pierre Thomas ($5,500, 11%) and Cadet likely being used mostly on passing downs. Robinson's usage may be limited after his prolonged absence, so it's best to stay away from him this week. Ingram and Thomas are the best bets for success against a subpar Carolina Panthers run defense.

Saints | Mark Ingram limited

Wed, 03 Dec 2014 14:20:05 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (ankle, toe) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram will likely see most of the snaps in Week 14 if he is able to go, even with Khiry Robinson getting eased back in this week. Ingram will cost $6,800 this week in FantasyScore, but there could be some risk there with both the injury and Robinson back in the picture in some capacity.

Saints | Khiry Robinson to be eased back in

Mon, 01 Dec 2014 14:51:17 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm), who is expected to return in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, is expected to be eased back into the backfield, especially since RB Mark Ingram has done well in a leading role. RB Pierre Thomas also returned a week ago. Ingram rushed 23 times for 122 yards in the Week 13 win, which was his fourth 100-yard game with Robinson out. Robinson was running well before he was hurt, and his 5.2 yards per carry rank second in the league if he was eligible.

Fantasy Tip: The Panthers present a juicy matchup for the Saints running backs. Unfortunately, it won't be wise to use Robinson, even at what should be a cheap FantasyScore price, until he's back in the running back rotation receiving substantial touches.

Saints | Saints' top three RBs back on the field

Thu, 27 Nov 2014 13:59:50 -0800

New Orleans Saints RBs Mark Ingram (shoulder), RB Pierre Thomas (rib, shoulder) and RB Travaris Cadet (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram likely will receive most of his work in the running game in Week 13 while Thomas probably will be used more in the passing game. Cadet will also see some playing time. Ingram ($6,600) and Thomas ($5,200) are options on FantasyScore, but owners may want to lower their expectations since the Pittsburgh Steelers defense has recently played well against opposing running backs.

Saints | Saints' top three RBs practice

Wed, 26 Nov 2014 15:10:14 -0800

New Orleans Saints RBs Mark Ingram (shoulder), Pierre Thomas (rib, shoulder) and Travaris Cadet (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram probably will continue to receive a majority of the carries with Thomas being more involved in the passing game. Cadet probably will receive time if one of the other running backs needs a break. Ingram costs $6,600 on FantasyScore, but owners may want to lower their expectations since the Pittsburgh Steelers have held opposing running backs in check over the last four weeks. Thomas costs $5,200 and could be a flex option because of his receiving ability. Owners should not consider using Cadet even though he only costs $3,200.

Saints | Mark Ingram practices in full again

Fri, 21 Nov 2014 13:28:36 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) practiced in full for the second straight day Friday, Nov. 21.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints' backfield is beat up, but Ingram ($6,600) is easily the healthiest back of the lot, and he'll probably see the vast majority of touches against the Baltimore Ravens. He may have a tough time returning value at FantasyScore, though, against the Ravens' formidable rush defense.

Saints | Full practice for Mark Ingram

Thu, 20 Nov 2014 14:34:07 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($6,600) has been the team's bell-cow back for much of the season, and that's likely to continue Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. However, B'More allows the fewest fantasy points to backs this year, making it tough for Ingram to return any value on his FantasyScore salary this week.

Saints | Mark Ingram expected to play

Fri, 14 Nov 2014 13:11:37 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 14, and is listed as probable for Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of his last three games and has scored three touchdowns in that span. Ingram will continue to receive most of the carries in the running game and could be a solid starting option if owners on FantasyScore are comfortable with spending $6,700 on him.

Saints | Mark Ingram's status not in doubt

Thu, 13 Nov 2014 15:07:48 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was limited in practice again Thursday, Nov. 13, but his status doesn't appear to be in doubt for Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Ingram has carried the ball 57 times in the last two games while dealing with his shoulder ailment. He also said that his body has become used to the heavy workload.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram should continue to shoulder the load for the Saints with Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson unlikely to play this weekend. Ingram ($6,700) continues to be a solid play at FantasyScore while he's seeing the lion's share of touches.

Saints | Limited practice for Mark Ingram

Wed, 12 Nov 2014 19:27:16 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: The Cincinnati Bengals have been shredded for an AFC-worst 143 yard rush yards per game this season and they are worst in the AFC with 12 rushing touchdowns allowed. If Ingram is healthy and able to play Sunday, he will be a nice FantasyScore option at $6,700 (or 13.4 percent of the cap).

Saints | Mark Ingram will play

Sun, 09 Nov 2014 06:49:18 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) will play Sunday, Nov. 9, in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($6,100; 12.2% of your cap) doesn't have a great matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. His price tag makes him a risky play today on FantasyScore.
