Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (foot) has moved on to a different stage in his rehabilitation and is no longer in a walking boot. Locker is hoping to take part in organized team activities in June. "Surgery went really well. Foot feels awesome and rehab is up and rolling," Locker said. "Doctors were happy with how things looked so (I'm) just continuing to follow that trend."
Fantasy Tip: All good news for Locker. Assuming he continues to make progress, he should be good to go for training camp. Locker should be considered a No. 3 QB at this point considering he is not a shoe-in for the starting job. The team could also draft another QB this year, and have Charlie Whitehurst on the roster if Locker struggles.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (foot) still is not able to place any weight on his surgically repaired foot and will need to wear a walking boot for a few more weeks. He is scheduled to have a procedure later this month to remove the hardware that was inserted during surgery. Locker hopes to be able to participate in offseason workouts in June.

Although the Tennessee Titans front office supported QB Jake Locker, the team will likely bring in some competition for him in the offseason. Titans brass expect the top quarterbacks to be off the board by the 11th pick, but potential options to provide some younger competition for Locker that could be had after the first round include Derek Carr, Aaron Murray, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Zach Mettenberger. The Titans also have QB Ryan Fitzpatrick under contract and the team feels comfortable with him.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker has the support of team president Tommy Smith. Smith thinks head coach Ken Whisenhunt will be good for Locker moving forward. "Absolutely. I do like Jake … and I think Ken is going to be very good for Jake. Jake is a competitor. He is a smart guy. I think he has the ability. He is the quarterback. That's what I have told him every time I see him. And that's the way it is."
