The Tennessee Titans must decide by May 3, 2014, whether they want to pick up QB Jake Locker's 2015 option. The transition tag for quarterbacks this year is $13.068 million. Locker will be under contract next year for $2.091 million. "I think that's stuff we'll talk about when the season is over and you have to make decisions on the next season. … That's a nice February discussion," head coach Mike Munchak said. "He is a fighter, and if anyone can come back from another injury, it is going to be him. We are just concentrating on these next seven weeks."

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to take over as the team's starting signal caller for the remainder of the season, as sources believe QB Jake Locker (foot) suffered a season-ending foot injury in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hip, knee) is expected to start in the team's Week 7 game.

Sat, 19 Oct 2013 08:42:38 -0700
The Tennessee Titans expect QB Jake Locker (hip, knee) to start at quarterback Week 7 unless he suffers a setback.
Fantasy Tip: It is surprising that Locker would only miss a few weeks after suffering his injuries. Locker probably should not be a fantasy option this week because he could be limited by his injuries during the game and is facing a tough San Francisco 49ers defense.

Now, we'll spend some time with him and talk as an offense and decide what is the best thing to do for Sunday." General manager Ruston Webster said he's optimistic that Locker can play Sunday.

Fri, 18 Oct 2013 10:43:05 -0700
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak is not ruling out QB Jake Locker (knee, hip) for Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers, but his chances still look unlikely with the team's bye week in Week 8. Locker increased his activities in practice Thursday, Oct. 17, but continued to wear a brace on his right knee and walk with a limp. "He can play. It is just a matter of … is he quite ready? There is no doubt the more you rest, the more you take off, the stronger your (knee) is going to feel. But it doesn't mean you can't play in the meantime," Munchak said. "He came out and looked better today. … We'll consider anything, really. We'll wait until tomorrow. It is kind of wait and see. We don't want to ever say he can't do anything." Teammates expect QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to make the start this weekend.
Fantasy Tip: We fully expect Locker to return in Week 9. It's foolish to expect him to start this weekend. Nate Washington, Kendall Wright and possibly Kenny Britt will see a bump in their value when Locker does return.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hip, knee) was listed as a limited participant for practice Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Wed, 16 Oct 2013 14:39:33 -0700
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hip, knee) isn't expected to play in Week 7 despite returning to limited practice Wednesday, Oct. 16. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to make his third straight start. Locker took part in some quarterback drills, seven-on-seven workouts and took a few snaps. Head coach Mike Munchak said Locker's knee injury is more serious than his hip at this time.
Fantasy Tip: Leave Locker to the waiver wire for now. He'll be in consideration to start in Week 9 after the team's bye in Week 8.

There is a chance that Locker could return in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers, but it is unlikely. RB Shonn Greene (knee) is also expected to ramp up his activities this week. We certainly would expect him to miss a few weeks, but we are encouraged by the news today," the team said in a statement.
Tue, 01 Oct 2013 11:50:20 -0700

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hip) is likely heading to short-term Injured Reserve with a designation to return due to the hip injury suffered in the team's Week 4 game.

Mon, 30 Sep 2013 05:51:56 -0700
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hip) will have more tests done, but the belief is he could miss four to eight weeks.
Fantasy Tip: Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't a significant step backwards and should manage the offense well. He lacks significant arm strength to throw the ball deep, which could stunt the offense a bit. However, he doesn't have a ton of weapons to open up the field anyway.
Sun, 29 Sep 2013 18:30:47 -0700
Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak confirmed Sunday, Sept. 29, that QB Jake Locker (hip) was going to the hospital to have his injury evaluated, but not for emergency surgery.

Tennessee Titans WR Nate Washington caught eight passes for a career-high 131 yards in the team's Week 3 victory over the San Diego Chargers. "Nate just balled out - that's all you can say," WR Kendall Wright said. "He's a captain and he kept leading us, by example and vocally. When you get a vet like that who's been in the game a long time, you listen to him because he's one of the hardest-working guys out there." Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said QB Jake Locker believes in Washington.
Fantasy Tip: Washington has taken advantage of the opportunity that Kenny Britt's poor play has given him, and he's running with it. Washington should see plenty of looks from Locker now, making him a smart waiver wire pickup this week.
Fri, 20 Sep 2013 15:42:46 -0700
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker went 7-for-8 for 79 yards and a touchdown when the team went to a no-huddle offense while trailing the Houston Texans in Week 2, and he was only 10-for-22 for 69 yards and a touchdown in the rest of the contest. It fuels questions as to whether the Titans will employ more of a no-huddle look against the San Diego Chargers in Week 3 and beyond. "I think there's a spot in the game where if a guy gets a feel — and Jake gets it — we stay with it," head coach Mike Munchak said. "Maybe that's something we have to do more, and that's the stuff as we go from week to week that we'll decide upon." The Titans held the ball for the least amount of time per game on average last year (27:24) and after two weeks this year they've held the ball for an average of 32:37, which has made life easier on their defense.

Fri, 09 Aug 2013 18:03:32 -0700
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker did not throw many downfield passes in the preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 8, and that was by design, according to head coach Mike Munchak. The plan is to let Locker do more in the next two or three preseason games. "We just took what they gave us and didn't force things that weren't there," Munchak said Friday, Aug. 9. "There will be plenty of opportunities to throw the ball down the field as we go into the next game."
