Patriots | Rob Gronkowski back at practice

Wed, 24 Aug 2016 12:32:28 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) is participating in practice Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski probably will sit out the third preseason game but appears to be on track for the start of the regular season. He should be the top tight end selected in all fantasy leagues as long as he is healthy.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski still out

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 15:56:40 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) has not practiced since Monday, Aug. 15, although he does not appear to be dealing with a serious ailment.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots are mysterious when it comes to their players' injuries and injury designations. They'll take it easy with their star tight end leading up to the season. Since it's nothing serious, Gronk can still be drafted as the first tight end in all formats.

Patriots | Plenty of action for Martellus Bennett?

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 14:45:08 -0700

New England Patriots TEs Martellus Bennett and Rob Gronkowski could be on the field together for up to 80% of the Patriots' plays, in the opinion of ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss. Head coach Bill Belichick views the tight ends as interchangeable and believes they can cause problems for opposing defenses when they're on the field at the same time.

Fantasy Tip: New England hasn't been shy about two-tight end sets in previous years. The Gronk-Bennett duo would be dynamic in the red zone, too, at least on paper. They could also be used together more frequently in the first four games of the season to give Jimmy Garoppolo more high-percentage targets. Gronk is the No. 1 fantasy tight end when healthy, even with Bennett "interfering," but Bennett deserves more credit behind Gronk and is draftable as a midrange TE2.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski out again

Wed, 17 Aug 2016 08:49:49 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) is out of practice Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk remains one of the best tight ends in fantasy, but the rest of the pack is starting to catch up to his production. He figures to be used heavily the first four weeks without Tom Brady, but injuries are always a concern.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski held out of practice

Tue, 16 Aug 2016 23:40:44 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) was held out of practice on Tuesday, Aug. 16, after an injury scare the previous day. It's unknown if he'll return for the third day of joint practices with the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: It's Gronk and then everyone else at the TE position, so the fact that he avoided serious injury is music to fantasy owners' ears. Expect the team to adopt a cautious approach with Gronkowski in getting him back on the field.

Patriots | Gronk's injury considered minor

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 21:47:52 -0700

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's (undisclosed) injury at practice Monday, Aug. 15, is considered minor.

Fantasy Tip: It's great news for Gronkowski and his fantasy owners in early draft leagues. Martellus Bennett would be the beneficiary of more reps if Gronk suffers some sort of setback.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski leaves practice

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 12:24:29 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) left practice early Monday, Aug. 15, after pulling up while trying to catch a pass in 7-on-7 drills.

Fantasy Tip: The extent of Gronkowski's situation isn't known at this point, but he's no stranger to the injury bug. His status will obviously need to be monitored over the coming days, but Martellus Bennett would immediately gain extra value if Gronk is forced to miss time.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski dropping the ball

Thu, 11 Aug 2016 08:04:14 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski leads the team with seven drops through the first 12 practices in training camp.

Fantasy Tip: It's early, and this seems like a moot stat unless these drops start trickling into preseason games. Gronk is arguably the best tight end in fantasy, but the position is as healthy as it has been in several years with talent. The gap is closing between him and the field.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski had a pectoral injury

Tue, 02 Aug 2016 08:03:18 -0700

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (pectoral) had a pectoral injury this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk missed some OTA time with the mysterious injury. His fantasy stock is unchanged, and he's arguably the top tight end in fantasy. The loss of Tom Brady for four games could actually benefit him as inexperienced quarterbacks generally check down to tight ends often.

Patriots | New deal in works for Rob Gronkowski

Sun, 31 Jul 2016 10:48:54 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's agents are working with the Patriots on a new deal, although nothing is imminent.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk is the most dominant tight end in the NFL when he's healthy. Tom Brady may be missing the first four games of the season, but Gronk will give Jimmy Garoppolo a big safety blanket. The star tight end should be taken as a late first-round pick or early second-round pick.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski suits up

Mon, 13 Jun 2016 08:13:56 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) is on the field for the organized team activities Monday, June 13.

Fantasy Tip: The team has been cautious with Gronk this offseason due to an undisclosed ailment. It's not something that should affect the top tight end target in fantasy.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski should be ready for camp

Sat, 11 Jun 2016 10:17:16 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) said he will be ready for training camp despite missing minicamp last week. Gronkowski said he and the coaching staff are on the same page and everything is going smoothly.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk's injury and status are vague, but it doesn't seem to be a serious situation. He should still be the top tight end selected in fantasy drafts, either late in the first round or early in the second round.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski out with cryptic ailment

Wed, 08 Jun 2016 10:07:17 -0700

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) reported with the rest of his teammates Tuesday, June 7, and is continuing to work behind the scenes as the club takes a cautious approach with an undisclosed physical ailment that isn't considered a long-range concern, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: It could be a case of the team just limiting his reps early on after a slew of injuries in recent years. Gronk is likely to be the first tight end off the board in most formats if he's healthy.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski not at practice

Tue, 07 Jun 2016 11:28:02 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Tuesday, June 7. It is not known if his absence has anything to do with his contract status or a possible injury. He currently ranks 16th among tight ends in base salary.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski may be upset with his contract situation but likely will report for training camp if he does not participate during the current minicamp. He is the best fantasy tight end in the league and should be selected in one of the first two rounds in most leagues.

Patriots | Martellus Bennett, Tom Brady connecting

Thu, 26 May 2016 15:44:03 -0700

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and TE Martellus Bennett connected several times in the red zone, including some touchdowns, during organized team activities Thursday, May 26. Bennett was New England's primary tight end in practice with TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) not practicing.

Fantasy Tip: As long as Gronk is healthy, Bennett will play second fiddle. Bennett could prove to be a viable red-zone threat, though, and is still worth drafting as a TE2 in his new confines.

Patriots | Key Patriots absent Thursday

Thu, 26 May 2016 15:17:29 -0700

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot), RB LeGarrette Blount (knee), RB Dion Lewis (knee), WR Danny Amendola (ankle, knee) and TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) did not participate in organized team activities Thursday, May 26.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots are infamous for their vague injury reports and resting of players. Obviously they're going to take caution with the players listed above, though. As long as none of these guys suffer any setbacks this offseason, they should be good to go for the start of the regular season. Edelman and Gronk should both be viewed as fantasy starters at their respective positions, with more value in PPR formats. Lewis is an RB2 candidate in PPR formats if he can stay healthy, while Blount has RB3 potential if he, too, can keep his health. Amendola is the biggest injury risk; he shouldn't be viewed as more than a low-end WR4 to high-end WR5.

Patriots | Gronk not concerned about his contract

Fri, 22 Apr 2016 10:26:51 -0700

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski said he's not concerned about his contract. "No, that's not on my mind at all. I started offseason workouts yesterday. It just feels great to be back with the team working out, getting back in football shape and getting prepared for the season."

Fantasy Tip: Gronk is signed through 2019 at pretty reduced rates in comparison to his talent level. He's the top tight end in fantasy, bar none. There doesn't seem to be much concern for a holdout right now.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski's option to be picked up

Mon, 07 Mar 2016 05:57:28 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will have the remainder of his $10 million option exercised before March 9. The team picked up $4 million of the $10 million in the option in August, and he's under control through the 2019 season.

Fantasy Tip: I don't think we're going out on a limb by saying Gronk is the top tight end in fantasy.

Patriots | No surgery for Rob Gronkowski

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 13:07:07 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) did not require surgery on his knee or back, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The injuries didn't seem to impact Gronk too badly, at least in the playoffs. He should be fine for offseason activities since there's no surgery to recover from. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks or new ailments over the next few months, he'll be the top fantasy tight end to target next season.

Panthers | Greg Olsen excels on deep passes

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 10:25:55 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen has 22 receptions on passes thrown between 15 and 30 yards downfield in 2015 (including playoffs), the most since New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and former New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham each had 21 in 2011.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski was 3-for-3 on such throws in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, so Olsen could be primed for a huge day in Super Bowl 50, especially since the Broncos' safeties (T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart) are both battling lower-body injuries. Olsen could easily be the most productive skill-position player on either side on Super Sunday.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski big in loss

Sun, 24 Jan 2016 16:06:46 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski finished with eight catches for a game-high 144 yards and a touchdown in a 20-18 loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski's big game wasn't enough to propel the Patriots to the Super Bowl, but he once again showed why he is the unquestioned top fantasy tight end in any format. His status won't change in 2016.

Patriots | Three key Patriots active Sunday

Sun, 24 Jan 2016 10:48:37 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) and TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) are all officially active for the AFC Championship against the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: There was really no doubt that these three would play despite their questionable tags. New England's passing game could be utilized early and often against the Broncos; Edelman ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) and Gronk ($8,000, 16.0%) have more upside, but Amendola ($6,100, 12.2%) is also worth a look if you're rostering a FantasyScore playoff team.

Patriots | Three Pats questionable

Fri, 22 Jan 2016 12:51:57 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee) and Julian Edelman (foot) and TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) were limited in practice all week and are questionable to face the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: All three players will suit up this weekend and could all have a big impact in the passing game. Amendola ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) might be overlooked by most and could thrive with Denver paying more attention to Edelman ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) and Gronkowski ($8,000, 16.0% of cap). It's hard not to like both Edelman and Gronk when they're healthy.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski streaking in playoffs

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 21:16:52 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's eight postseason touchdowns are a record for a tight end, and he has caught a touchdown in four straight postseason games.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is the unquestioned top tight end option at FantasysScore, and you run a big risk if you decide to fade him.

Patriots | Three Patriots limited

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 14:26:41 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee) and Julian Edelman (foot) and TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) were all limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 21.

Fantasy Tip: All three players are acceptable picks on FantasyScore this weekend, with Amendola ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) being more of a sleeper of flex play. Gronk ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) has excellent history against the Denver Broncos and is worth paying up for.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski has owned Denver

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 16:12:22 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has 40 catches for 516 yards and six touchdowns in six games against the Denver Broncos going back to 2011, including six catches for 88 yards and a score in Week 12 this year.

Fantasy Tip: It's safe to say that Gronk ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) enjoys playing against the Broncos, and they'll have their hands full trying to stop him as well as Julian Edelman. Denver had a weakness against tight ends this year despite being the top passing defense in the league, so Gronkowski is worth his high FantasyScore price.

Patriots | Three Patriots limited

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 14:53:00 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee) and Julian Edelman (foot) and TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Jan. 20.

Fantasy Tip: All three players will be fine for the AFC Championship against the Denver Broncos. Both Amendola ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) and Edelman ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) didn't face Denver in the earlier matchup this year, but both are acceptable daily plays even against a tough Broncos defense. Gronk ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) had a nice game against Denver before being hurt in Week 12, and tight ends have been a thorn in the Broncos' side.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski good after contact

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 09:15:47 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has totaled 1,198 receiving yards after first contact since first joining the league in 2010 and including the playoffs, which is the most of any player in the NFL during that span, according to ESPN Stats and Information. He has averaged 4.0 yards after first contact this year, becoming the first player to do so in a season in seven years that ESPN Stats and Information has measured the statistic. Gronkowski had two touchdowns in the divisional round, and his eight postseason touchdowns are the most in history by a tight end.

Fantasy Tip: Well folks, that's why Gronk is the premier tight end in the league and one of the best of all time. He had 88 yards and a touchdown against the Denver Broncos in Week 12, and there's no reason to think he won't put up good numbers yet again in the AFC Championship. Defending tight ends was one of the few weaknesses of this top defensive unit this year.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski might excel Sun.

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 20:06:27 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will meet the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24. While the Broncos ranked No. 1 against the pass, allowing just 199.6 pass yards per game, they ranked 21st in the NFL against opposing tight ends by giving up 76 receptions, 54.9 yards per game and six total touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is obviously the top FantasyScore option at tight end, even with a full slate, but even more so with just two total games. You'll want Gronk, and maybe skimp at receiver or running back with a backup or two.

Patriots | Gronk played well against Broncos

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 11:21:11 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski had 88 yards and a touchdown on six catches against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 before injuring his knee.

Fantasy Tip: For as good as the Broncos pass defense was this year, they struggled covering tight ends, allowing 13.4 PPR fantasy points per game to the position (11th-most in the league). Furthermore, it'll be even tougher for Denver to shut Gronkowski down now that Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola must also be accounted for.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski plays 54 snaps

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 17:36:32 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) played 54 of the 59 snaps in a 27-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski was expected to be limited due to multiple injuries, but he was on the field for most of the game and caught a pair of touchdowns. He is the top tight end at FantasyScore heading into the conference title games.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski catches two scores

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 17:23:50 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) caught seven passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski not only played through his injuries, but he was as effective as ever in the red zone. He is the best option at the tight end spot remaining at FantasyScore.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman active

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 12:05:37 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) and WR Julian Edelman (foot) are both active for the divisional playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: It would have been hard to believe Gronkowski ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) and Edelman ($7,300, 14.6%) missing a game of this magnitude. Edelman will be wearing extra protection, but Gronk could be somewhat limited with knee and back issues. Both are worth a FantasyScore start despite their ongoing ailments.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski's back an issue

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 11:32:56 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's (back, knee) biggest concern versus the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 16, is his back, not his knee.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) has dealt with back problems since his college days, including back surgery in 2013. His back issue showed up on the injury report late this week, making it somewhat of a mystery. The importance of Gronk's health to the Patriots cannot be understated, and he could be limited today.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski aiming to play

Fri, 15 Jan 2016 21:46:19 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) is going to play but won't be 100% against the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 16, according to Patriots beat writer Jeff Howe. "The expectation is he's going to try and gut through this thing," said Howe. "It's not going to be easy. He's not going to be anywhere close to one-hundred percent. Gronkowski's not going to miss this game."

Fantasy Tip: With Gronkowski ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) likely to be hobbled if he does suit up in the first place, it is tough to spend such a large portion of cap space at FantasyScore on damaged goods.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski's status in question

Fri, 15 Jan 2016 13:48:24 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 15, and is listed as questionable for the divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) returned to practice after sitting out a game, so his status for the playoff game is still uncertain. Gronkowski will be a big part of the offense if he is able to play, but owners will need a backup plan in case Gronkowski is ruled out.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski has back injury

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 16:02:39 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back) had a back injury added to the Patriots' injury report. Gronkowski did not practice Thursday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) seems pretty banged up for being expected to play this weekend. Just because he may play doesn't mean he'll be effective, though. His status will need to be monitored over the next couple of days, but it might not be a bad strategy to look at the cheaper, healthier tight ends on FantasyScore.

Patriots | No injection for Rob Gronkowski

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 14:33:34 -0800

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) did not receive an injection in his knee Thursday, Jan. 14, but he's been receiving treatment in preparation to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk's ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) is a reason to be worried a little, but it looks like he shouldn't have any problem playing this weekend. Gronkowski was once again the top fantasy tight end this year, and if he's active for the divisional game, there's plenty of reasons to pay up for him on FantasyScore.

Comment (0) | Share: Tweet!Share on Facebook | Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski receives injection

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 12:41:24 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) received treatment on his right knee in a Boston hospital Thursday, Jan. 14, and that treatment included an injection, according to a source familiar with the procedure. The Patriots believe Gronkowski will play against the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 16, but they will need to see how he feels on Saturday. Gronkowski played in 55 of 60 offensive snaps in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: While Gronk ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) should play against the Chiefs, there is still a level of concern surrounding him and how effective he'll be. At such a high FantasyScore price, we wouldn't blame you if you looked elsewhere this weekend.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski expected to play

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 10:28:48 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) is expected to play Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) has a tough matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, but is there really a matchup that he can't handle? He's a top TE option on FantasyScore.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski absent Thursday

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 09:39:00 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) was not spotted at practice Thursday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: There's little chance Gronk ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) misses the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs unless there's something under the surface. He's a weekly top option on FantasyScore.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski limited Wednesday

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 14:56:12 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Tip: There's finally an explanation as to why Gronkowski ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) did not practice yesterday. Gronk should still be able to suit up on Saturday as the injury doesn't sound serious and his status was upgraded today. The Kansas City Chiefs were the best fantasy defense against tight ends this season, but Gronkowski is worth a start no matter who the opponent is. The return of Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola should help, too.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski practicing

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 10:50:51 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (undisclosed) returned to practice Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) was absent Tuesday for an unknown reason. The Chiefs have a solid defense, but he's a weekly consideration on FantasyScore.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski caught two passes on seven targets for 18 yards in a 20-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: It was Gronkowski's lowest yardage total of the season, but with the player pool at FantasyScore about to be trimmed in the postseason, he becomes an even more valuable asset at his position.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski productive

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 14:12:20 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski caught four passes for 86 yards against the New York Jets in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski will be a focal point in the team's passing game most weeks and has posted terrific numbers when healthy. Gronkowski would be an outstanding fantasy option against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 if the team has something to play for in terms of playoff positioning.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski practices in full

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 12:44:07 -0800

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (non-injury) returned to a full practice Thursday, Dec. 24, after sitting out Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: There's nothing wrong with Gronk ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) physically, and he remains an elite fantasy tight end. He had one of his best games against the New York Jets the first time around, so he could be in line for another fine game, especially with the Pats hurting for healthy receivers.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski practices

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 09:46:40 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (personal) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) is a weekly consideration on FantasyScore, but the New York Jets have been stingy to tight ends the last five weeks with 241 yards and no touchdowns allowed.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski didn't practice

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 17:09:01 -0800

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (personal) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23, because he was attending the funeral of his close friend, Dana Parenteau. Gronkowski dedicated the Patriots' win in Week 15 to his friend and scored a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) is an elite tight end and is a must-start in traditional formats. He had a season-high 11 catches for 108 yards and a score in the first meeting with the New York Jets, and he might be targeted even more if both Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman can't play. Gronk should remain a solid option on FantasyScore if you're willing to pay the high price.

Patriots | Danny Amendola, Gronk probable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 15:36:09 -0800

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) and TE Rob Gronkowski (non-injury) are both probable for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans. Amendola was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18, while Gronkowski sat out.

Fantasy Tip: This may be the last chance you have on FantasyScore to take advantage of a large workload for Amendola ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) without Julian Edelman in the picture. Gronk ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) missed practice due to a personal issue and will be fine for Sunday. He's an elite daily pick for a tight end.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski has personal issue

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 10:02:10 -0800

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (personal, knee) missed practice with a personal issue Friday, Dec. 18, and it won't affect his status for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Gronk ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) should be probable to face the Titans, and he remains the most expensive tight end for a reason. He found his way right back into the end zone after returning from a missed game last weekend, and he's worth paying for on a weekly basis.
