Seahawks | Pete Carroll confident in players' return

Thu, 16 Jun 2016 14:02:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) and RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) should "absolutely" be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Carroll is sounding more confident in Graham's and Rawls' availability for the regular-season opener. Rawls will take over for Marshawn Lynch as Seattle's lead running back this season. He's a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 option. Graham isn't the same player he used to be, and he's now in TE2 territory after missing five games last year and only scoring twice.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham ready for season's start?

Thu, 26 May 2016 14:59:34 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) might be ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Graham continues to recover from a torn patellar tendon he suffered last season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's glory days appear to be over, but he still has some gas left in the tank. That being said, an ideally more concerted effort with the running game and Graham's injury push him into the low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 conversation this year.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham making progress

Tue, 26 Apr 2016 19:16:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) continues to recover from a torn patellar tendon suffered a game in late November. He has been taking part in the initial stages of the team's official offseason program with two weeks of strength and condition and physical rehabilitation. Head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday, April 26, that everything is going well. The general team feeling is that Graham will be ready for the season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is a risky fantasy play heading into 2016. He didn't put up the same kind of numbers we saw from him in New Orleans, and now he is coming off of a major injury. Perhaps for the first time in his career he isn't a surefire Top 5 option at the tight end position on draft day for fantasy owners.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls, Jimmy Graham on track

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 10:17:24 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) are expected to be ready for Week 1, according to general manager John Schneider. Schneider added that both players are at similar stages in their rehabs, and he couldn't identify one as being further along. He said he didn't know if either would play in the preseason. "Right now, their rehab's going well," Schneider said. "We're trying to get them ready for the season. We're not trying to get them ready to play Minnesota in the preseason."

Fantasy Tip: Take this with a grain of salt, especially in Graham's case. A torn patellar tendon is one of the most catastrophic injuries to skill positions, and there aren't a lot of success stories. He's a very risky tight end in the midrange. Rawls could be good to go, and with Marshawn Lynch retiring, he's a solid RB2 in fantasy.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham recovering well

Tue, 22 Mar 2016 19:16:22 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) continues to do well in his recovery, and head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday, March 22, that the team is excited to get him back. "We're anticipating that he'll come back and again we hope to have him by the start of the season," Carroll said.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's production was erratic in his first season in Seattle, and it took a while for him to post numbers and fantasy production up to his previous standards. After a major injury he will be a risky fantasy play in 2016, but he also could be one to easily exceed his average draft position if he bounces back and plays to his potential.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham should be ready

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 12:36:56 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham's (knee) rehabilitation is going well and he is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was having a disappointing first season with the Seahawks before missing the rest of the season with a knee injury. One would expect Graham to better his 2015 numbers, as long as he can stay healthy, and he should be drafted as a starting tight end again.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham progressing

Wed, 24 Feb 2016 13:35:51 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is progressing well in his recovery from a torn right patellar tendon, according to general manager John Schneider. Schneider said it's too soon to tell when Graham will be able to return from the injury, however.

Fantasy Tip: There was a good deal of fuss made about Graham's lack of usage last season. He had a good game here and there but nothing like the consistent output he had with the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks may throw more with Marshawn Lynch gone, as they did later last season when he was injured, which would benefit Graham. He's still somewhat of a risky proposition right now, but should still be considered a TE1.

Panthers | Greg Olsen excels on deep passes

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 10:25:55 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen has 22 receptions on passes thrown between 15 and 30 yards downfield in 2015 (including playoffs), the most since New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and former New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham each had 21 in 2011.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski was 3-for-3 on such throws in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, so Olsen could be primed for a huge day in Super Bowl 50, especially since the Broncos' safeties (T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart) are both battling lower-body injuries. Olsen could easily be the most productive skill-position player on either side on Super Sunday.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham back in Seattle

Fri, 22 Jan 2016 11:41:17 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will return to the Seahawks in 2016, according to Seahawks general manager John Schneider.

Fantasy Tip: Graham suffered a scary torn patellar tendon that robs players of their burst, and it might be one of the worst injuries a pass receiver can have. He'll be a midrange TE1 option based on name value, but the risk you'll inherit drafting him is large.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch, Jimmy Graham rehabbing

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 16:31:37 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hernia) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) were both at team headquarters this week rehabbing following their surgeries. Lynch is out again in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, while Graham's season is over. Head coach Pete Carroll said it's too soon to put a timetable on Lynch's return. Carroll said the team expects Graham to be back for the start of next season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is facing a lengthy rehab from a very serious and debilitating knee injury. He may never again be the same dynamic player he has been, so practice extreme caution when selecting him in 2016 drafts. Lynch ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) may be able to play again before the end of the regular season, but the Seahawks certainly aren't rushing him.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham likely to be ready for 2016

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 09:53:46 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is expected to be ready for the 2016 season after surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon. "After the surgery, it typically takes between six and eight weeks for the tendon to heal," an official from the Orthopaedic Trauma Center at the University of California-San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital said. "During that time, the knee is kept straight in a brace for a majority of the time to allow the repair to heal without stretching out. Once the surgeon has determined that the repair is healed, physical therapy begins in order to regain motion of the knee and strength in the quadriceps."

Fantasy Tip: Graham will be a boom or bust option in 2016. He could either slide in your draft, or he could retain name value for his immense talent. His injury is one of the most difficult to return from as it can rob you of your burst. So he's likely to be a very "buyer beware" option in drafts.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham having surgery

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 12:50:26 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is undergoing surgery Wednesday, Dec. 2, to repair the torn patellar tendon in his right knee.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is out for the season, and Luke Willson ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) should take over as the Seahawks' top tight end now. There is value to be had with Willson on FantasyScore right now, but the Minnesota Vikings, Willson's Week 13 opponent, have only allowed four touchdowns to tight ends all year.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham placed on IR

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 15:12:38 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 30, and DT A.J. Francis was signed from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move. Graham had 48 catches for 605 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games this year for Seattle.

Fantasy Tip: Luke Willson is the primary tight end option for Russell Wilson in the absence of Graham, but he'll be too inconsistent to rely on in fantasy. After his monster game in Week 12, Doug Baldwin deserves to be owned now because he'll be more heavily relied on in the passing game.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham out for the season

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 17:49:50 -0800

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is out for the season due to a torn patellar tendon suffered in the Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He needs season-ending surgery.

Fantasy Tip: With Graham down for the count, Luke Willson will be the primary tight end in Seattle again, and Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and the rest of the receivers will also be called upon to pick up the slack.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham carted off

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 15:47:24 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (leg) suffered a lower right leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he was carted off after having his leg stabilized.

Fantasy Tip: It appeared Graham might have snapped his lower left leg, but that's speculation at this point. It certainly did not look good, and he is likely to be sidelined a while. Luke Willson will likely see more targets from the tight end position in his absence.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham has so-so game

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 21:17:08 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham posted three receptions for 39 yards in the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He was targeted three times.

Fantasy Tip: Graham just hasn't been the dominant force he was in New Orleans, and it's rather inexplicable. He has expressed his unhappiness with how he is being used, and fantasy owners can certainly echo those sentiments.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham could struggle in Week 11

Fri, 20 Nov 2015 21:51:04 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham faces the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11, and he managed two catches for 31 yards in his first meeting with the 49ers this season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) production has disappointed all year, and paying up for him at FantasyScore is asking for disappointment.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham has another average game

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 22:44:11 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham posted three receptions for 41 yards in the Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: It has been a lost season for Graham, as he just doesn't appear to have anywhere near the same rapport with Russell Wilson as he did with New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees. While that might come over time, he is too expensive in FantasyScore for what he is producing.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham could test Arizona

Sat, 14 Nov 2015 17:18:44 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham faces the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10, and he had nine catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns the last time he faced the Cardinals in 2013 as a member of the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Tip: His production has declined in his first year in Seattle, but Graham ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has had two of his best games in the last three weeks. With his role in the offense growing, it could be a good time to take a chance on Graham at FantasyScore.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham more involved

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 10:03:42 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham leads the team with 38 catches for 450 yards and has averaged 5.7 catches and 82 yards per game in the last three games. Graham will be a mismatch for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10; he is listed at 6-7 and none of the Cardinals expected to cover him this weekend are taller than 6-1. Arizona has been much better against tight ends this season.

Fantasy Tip: The Cardinals allow just 4.6 PPR fantasy points to the position this year, which is the second-fewest amount in the league. Seattle will continue to target Graham in the passing game, but this tough matchup says fading Graham on FantasyScore is the smart move.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham being targeted plenty

Thu, 22 Oct 2015 12:36:52 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham, who had eight catches for 140 yards in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, has been targeted more this year so far than in any of his final four seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Graham currently leads Seattle in catches (29) and receiving yards (344) and is tied for the lead in touchdowns (two).

Fantasy Tip: Aside from a two-target Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, the Seahawks have been involving Graham quite a bit in the passing game. After his best game last week, more folks will likely jump on the bandwagon in daily formats, and he makes for a fine tight end selection against the San Francisco 49ers Thursday night.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham could be big on TNF

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 20:49:06 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are the worst team in the NFL against the pass, giving up 306.2 yards per game with 11 receiving touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) started off slowly with his new team, but he had eight receptions for a season-high 140 yards against the Carolina Panthers last weekend. He is a must-start FantasyScore option at a still reasonable price.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham busy Sunday

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 18:28:05 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham had eight catches on 12 targets for 140 yards in a 27-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($6,500, 13.0% of cap) logged season highs in catches, targets and yards, and while he is clearly still capable of big games, he is still a risky play at FantasyScore at his current price until he proves he will have a big role in the offense on a weekly basis.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham not being ignored

Sat, 17 Oct 2015 10:24:11 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham will keep receiving looks from QB Russell Wilson. Wilson said the Seahawks need to find ways to get Graham more involved, but not force him the ball.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($6,500, 13.0% of cap) has had a decent season so far, but it certainly hasn't been up to the standards set for him. He's been one of the more frustrating players in fantasy football this year. He has a tough matchup versus the Carolina Panthers in Week 6, so there is better value with other tight ends on FantasyScore.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham quiet again

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 16:56:02 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham had three catches on five targets for 30 yards in a 27-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) has finished with 30 yards or less in three of the five games this season and has been targeted just 27 times overall. He simply isn't worth his salary at FantasyScore right now.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham must share targets

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 10:34:31 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham is part of an offense that offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell wants to see everyone involved in. "We're doing everything we can to try to get everybody involved in the offense," Bevell said. "We want Jimmy to catch balls, I know you'll probably ask me that every week. We want him involved, we want him to catch balls, there's a lot of things that we ask him to do, whether it's catching, whether it's blocking, whether it's being a decoy. You can just go on and on, and we expect him to do it the best that he can."

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is a hit-or-miss option on FantasyScore right now, and his matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals isn't a good one. However, he's so talented that he could break out with three scores. The question is: are you willing to risk that price tag on it this week?

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham quiet yet again

Mon, 05 Oct 2015 22:22:32 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham had four receptions for 29 yards in the Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions Monday, Oct. 5. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) continues to be a ghost in the Seattle offense, and that makes him extremely overpriced for FantasyScore purposes.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham's role much different

Thu, 01 Oct 2015 14:51:47 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham's role with his new team is quite different than it was with the New Orleans Saints. He lined up as a traditional in-line tight end 37.1% of the time with New Orleans and that number has gone way up in Seattle to 65.1%. Graham was in the slot a whopping 42% of the time with the Saints but has done so just 20.7% of the time in three games with the Seahawks. Graham is being asked to block 38.3% of the time in Seattle as opposed to only 28% of the time in the Big Easy. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is targeting Graham just 18.9% of the time when he runs pass routes. In New Orleans, he was targeted by QB Drew Brees 26.3% of the time on such routes.

Fantasy Tip: We're only in Week 4, but it's obvious that Graham ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is more of a traditional tight end with Seattle than the straight pass catcher he was with the Saints. That means he's no longer a lock as a No. 1 tight end unless the matchup is right, and he'll have fewer targets to do damage with on a run-first club.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham adjusting to role

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 16:54:58 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham admitted that he's still adjusting to his role in Seattle's offense and said he isn't disappointed about his lack of involvement after two weeks. He was targeted just twice in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers. "This team runs the ball. Simple as that. We're not slinging the ball 60 times a game. And if we are, then that means we're in trouble. I'm just going to keep doing what's asked of me," Graham said. Graham blocked 28% of the time in New Orleans and is blocking 44% of the time after two games in Seattle. He admitted that earning QB Russell Wilson's trust in the passing game could take time.

Fantasy Tip: It's been rough so far for Graham's ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) of owners, but things can change, starting this weekend against the Chicago Bears. This is the perfect time to use Graham on FantasyScore, since many folks might abandon him after he disappeared in Week 2.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham upset with role

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 05:40:52 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham is upset with his role with the Seahawks and has complained to teammates, according to sources. Graham is being used to block and serve as a decoy and only had two targets in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) fortunes could change in Week 3 against the struggling Chicago Bears. The Seahawks are 0-2 and face a team in disarray at this point. It could be a big week for Graham and the 'Hawks. He's a speculative play on FantasyScore.

Seahawks | Coach wants Jimmy Graham more involved

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 10:44:09 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham has been targeted only 10 times over the first two games of the season, but head coach Pete Carroll said he wants Graham to receive more targets in the passing game. Graham does have seven catches for 62 yards and one touchdown in the two games. Graham received two targets in the team's Week 2 game, which was only the third time since 2011 he saw two targets or fewer in a game.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is off to a slow start but should start receiving more opportunities as the season goes on. He should continue to be a starting fantasy option at this point, but owners may want to consider other options if his targets remain the same.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham barely used

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 22:46:56 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham posted just one reception for 11 yards in the Week 2 loss against the Green Bay Packers. He was targeted just twice.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is way overpriced in FantasyScore, and he killed anyone who used him in Week 2. Unless his salary drops significantly, he is not a recommended play going into Week 3, even in what appears to be a very favorable matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham scores in team debut

Sun, 13 Sep 2015 16:10:56 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham caught six passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 loss to the St. Louis Rams Sunday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Although leaving New Orleans is going to take a toll on his numbers, his performance in Week 1 is a reminder that Graham ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) should still be one of the better tight end options at FantasyScore.

Fri, 21 Aug 2015 21:47:51 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham caught three passes from QB Russell Wilson for 39 yards in a preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, Aug. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's numbers are likely to decline in Seattle, but he could still be the best fantasy tight end not named Rob Gronkowski. He should still be considered a high-end TE1 with his new team.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham fitting in

Thu, 13 Aug 2015 15:05:03 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham will be a better fit in the offense than WR Percy Harvin, according to offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell Thursday, Aug. 13. "I think the cool part about Jimmy is we can just plug him in," said Bevell. "We really don't have to do anything special."

Fantasy Tip: Graham fits the mold of a conventional receiving threat better than Harvin. The Seahawks were forced to create plays in order to get the ball into Harvin's hands, something that will be easier to do with Graham. The former New Orleans Saints tight end is the most dangerous weapon in the Seahawks' passing attack, and he should be the second tight end off draft boards behind only Rob Gronkowski.

Seahawks | More two-tight end sets for Seattle

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 10:09:34 -0700

The Seattle Seahawks appear likely to use more two-tight end formats with TEs Jimmy Graham and Luke Willson on the team this season in offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell's system. TEs Anthony McCoy, Cooper Helfet and Rashaun Allen are also competing for spots. Graham will need to do more blocking for RB Marshawn Lynch than he's done in the past with the New Orleans Saints if the Seahawks go to more two-tight end formations. Injuries and New Orleans system rarely relied on Graham for blocking in the running game. "I know 3rd-and-10, 3rd-and-12, that's when I'm going to have to make my money," Graham said, "and that's when I'm going to have to be special for this team."

Fantasy Tip: It seems likely that Graham's production for fantasy owners will take a dip this year with Seattle. However, he can still be a TE1 for his owners if he's used often in third-and-long situations and in the red zone.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham preparing to block more

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 06:25:01 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham said the priority of blocking is on par with making receptions in his new offense. "It's very important for me to be a part of that here because that's about 75 percent of the offense here and if you have a back like (Marshawn Lynch), you want to be in there on those explosive runs and you want to be part of that," Graham said. "Third-and-10 is when I'm going to make my money, and that's when I'm going to have to be special for this team."

Fantasy Tip: Graham's numbers are expected to fall short of the astronomical years he had in New Orleans. However, he's still in the elite tier at the position and should continue to be a beast in the red zone. He probably shouldn't be taken in the first round this year, though.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham to be used all over

Tue, 14 Jul 2015 09:27:26 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham will be used all over the field with Seattle like he was in New Orleans. "Yeah, we do that with a lot of our guys. We like to formation and move guys around for different reasons, and Jimmy will be definitely in that mix," offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said. "It's just another great playmaker. He can stretch the field, catch the ball, big target in the red zone, which will be huge for us. That may be one of the biggest things, just the size we have down there when things start to get tight."

Fantasy Tip: Graham and Rob Gronkowski are in a tier by themselves at the position. Graham might lose some luster because Seattle has been so driven on power running, and he may not have as many targets as he did in New Orleans. However, he's still worth consideration around the snake area of the first and second rounds.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham builds rapport with QB

Mon, 08 Jun 2015 06:43:12 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham said he has an accelerated learning curve with QB Russell Wilson. "Honestly me and Russ have been on kind of this accelerated learning curve," Graham said. "He just gets it up and gives you an opportunity to be great. We'll be keep working on that, and we'll be just fine come the season, because that's a big thing. That's all about the connection, that's all about knowing what each other is going to do and what each other likes."

Fantasy Tip: Graham will probably not catch as many balls in Seattle because of the toned-down offense in contrast to New Orleans. However, he'll still be a monster in the red zone. Graham is one of the best two tight ends but probably shouldn't be taken in the first round this year.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham making impact

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham has been "unstoppable" during organized team activities, according to Rob Rang of Scout.com. The Seahawks have already been drawing up plays to capitalize on Graham's talents.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is likely to see a reduction from the 138 targets he has averaged per season over the last four years, but he represents a greatly needed red zone threat in the Seattle offense. Graham should still be considered the best tight end not named Rob Gronkowski.

QBs B.J. Daniels and R.J. Archer are the only quarterbacks at the OTAs with Wilson gone, and neither have taken a snap in an NFL game.

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham is committed to learning to block since he was traded to the Seahawks, according to offensive line coach Tom Cable.

Fantasy Tip: Graham will still be one of the team's top receiving threats, but he would be on the field more often if he becomes a better blocker. Graham should be one of the first tight ends selected in fantasy drafts next season.

Dolphins | Jimmy Graham almost went to Miami

Tue, 24 Mar 2015 12:02:13 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham was almost a Miami Dolphin as the Dolphins finished second to the Seahawks in an attempt to trade for the tight end.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins ended up with Jordan Cameron after failing to sign Graham. Cameron should be targeted frequently in Miami as the Dolphins have lost three receivers in Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson this offseason.

Tue, 10 Mar 2015 12:46:58 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham was traded to the Seattle Seahawks along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for C Max Unger and a first-round pick.

Fantasy Tip: Grahame will still be an elite pass-catching tight end in the Seattle offense in 2015. He should once again be near the top of your draft board at the tight-end position this fall.

Saints | NO open to shopping Jimmy Graham

Tue, 10 Mar 2015 12:13:54 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham is part of a group of players the team is shopping around to other teams.

Fantasy Tip: If Graham were to be traded, and that is still a very big if at the moment, he would still be a productive fantasy player. His value could be affected by the quarterback situation of a new team, but he would still be a TE1 under almost any circumstance.

Saints | Jimmy Graham ruling out surgery?

Mon, 26 Jan 2015 19:18:15 -0800

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) caught three passes for 30 yards and two scores in the Pro Bowl Sunday, Jan. 25, and when asked if his performance would rule out surgery, he said, "It should, which is really exciting."

Fantasy Tip: Graham's comments aren't a guarantee that he will avoid going under the knife, but it is certainly a good sign. If healthy, he is the second-best option at the tight end spot for fantasy owners.

Saints | Jimmy Graham might avoid surgery

Fri, 23 Jan 2015 07:25:51 -0800

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) said he'll rehabilitate his shoulder injury after the Pro Bowl, but he hasn't made a final decision on surgery. "It's something we talked about and is something that's still being debated," Graham said. "This is kind of a trial to see where I'm at. I've had three weeks off and I've finally had some time to heal. It feels great, and I'm going to continue to do my rehab and get back to 100%."

Fantasy Tip: Graham will likely be one of the top two tight ends to target again in traditional drafts next season if intrusive surgery isn't required.

Saints | Jimmy Graham bothered by shoulder

Fri, 05 Dec 2014 13:04:50 -0800

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) has still very much been bothered by a shoulder injury that he suffered earlier this year, and he said he's still managing pain "every day" that has affected his blocking abilities. "At times this year the shoulder has really held me back sometimes," Graham said. "Other times I'm able to fight through the pain. I just got to man up and keep doing it."

Fantasy Tip: Graham's zero-catch, zero-target day in Week 13 had more to do with the Pittsburgh Steelers' game plan against him, but his injury shouldn't completely be ignored. Moving to Week 14, we expect Graham to make much more noise against the Carolina Panthers at FantasyScore for $7,900.
