New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) played 30 offensive snaps (41 percent of the offense) in Week 7 Sunday, Oct. 19. He was targeted twice but was shut out in the loss to the Detroit Lions.

Saints | Jimmy Graham active today

Sun, 19 Oct 2014 08:33:44 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is active for the Week 7 game Sunday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,900; 15.8% of your cap) will be limited to red zone situations today. He's the most expensive tight end on FantasyScore this week, so you may want to look elsewhere.

Saints | Jimmy Graham limited to red zone today

Sun, 19 Oct 2014 08:15:39 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) will play strictly in red zone situations Sunday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,900; 15.8% of your cap) is a beast in the red zone. However, it's a tall price to pay on FantasyScore for a limited player.

Saints | Jimmy Graham will play

Sun, 19 Oct 2014 06:20:55 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) will play Sunday, Oct. 19, but is not expected to start in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,900; 15.8% of your cap) could still be worth the start on FantasyScore despite the limitations. It's a pretty large risk at that price, though.

Saints | Jimmy Graham open to restrictions

Sat, 18 Oct 2014 14:34:31 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) said he'd be open to being limited only to red zone situations in Week 7, when asked by a reporter.

Fantasy Tip: Graham ($7,900; 15.8%) is a game-time decision against the Detroit Lions and is a pricey gamble on FantasyScore. The Saints released TE Tom Crabtree Saturday, Oct. 18, but there's no indication if that's a good sign for Graham's prospects this week or a formality.

Saints | Jimmy Graham to be game-time decision

Fri, 17 Oct 2014 13:16:45 -0700

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) said he won't know until just before kickoff Sunday, Oct. 19, if he'll play in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. "I think (coach) Sean (Payton) might try to see how I'm doing on Sunday and maybe work me before the game to see where I'm at," Graham, who was limited and listed as questionable for Sunday, said. "As of right now I don't know." Head coach Sean Payton would not discuss whether Graham could be limited if he plays Sunday. TEs Benjamin Watson and Josh Hill will likely see an increase in snaps if Graham doesn't play.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Graham plays, he's likely to be less than 100 percent, which would make paying $7,900 (15.8% of cap) a pretty big risk at FantasyScore. Hill is the better fantasy bet if Graham doesn't play, and he's very cheap if you're going that route at tight end.

Saints | Jimmy Graham limited in practice

Thu, 16 Oct 2014 13:27:32 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 16. Head coach Sean Payton said he's optimistic about Graham playing this week.

Fantasy Tip: Graham would certainly give a boost to QB Drew Brees and Co. It would be hard to bench him even if he is limited against the Detroit Lions. He'll still cost the most of any tight end on FantasyScore at $7,900.

Sun, 12 Oct 2014 07:07:46 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is expected to miss two to three weeks after the bye week in Week 6, according to a source.

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) had his right shoulder looked at by trainers during the team's Week 5 game Sunday, Oct. 5, but he remains on the sidelines.

Wed, 16 Jul 2014 09:43:00 -0700

New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham said it was hard not to work with his teammates this offseason but did work out in Miami with free-agent LB Jonathan Vilma (Saints). He said he had a similar regime this offseason than what he did during the lockout in 2011, which produced one of his best NFL seasons. "It was tough being away from the guys," Graham said. "The good thing is that the base and group of friends I have here in Miami is still strong. I did the same thing I did during the lockout year. I basically did the same day-to-day routine that I did (in 2011). And after the lockout, I had one of my best seasons I have ever had."

Saints | Will start negotiations with Jimmy Graham

Wed, 02 Jul 2014 19:31:57 -0700

The New Orleans Saints will now begin contract negotiations with the agent franchise free-agent TE Jimmy Graham, because the two sides were waiting on the ruling on Graham's grievance before starting contract talks. There appears to be a chance that Graham will not be interested in his franchise tender if the two sides are not able to reach an agreement before the July 15 deadline and could hold out during training camp and possibly the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should watch this situation, because there is a chance Graham holds out if he does not get a contract he likes. Graham is one of the top fantasy tight ends at this point, but his value could go down if he holds out during the regular season.
