|NFL | Multiple teams interested in Joique Bell|
Sun, 05 Jun 2016 07:36:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bell, who turns 30 in August, has been connected to the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots in the last few months. He isn't likely to be much of a fantasy factor in 2016 due to declining production and recent injury history.

|Bills | Joique Bell pays Buffalo a visit|
Tue, 15 Mar 2016 23:14:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bell might be a nice addition for Buffalo if he agrees to terms. He has good hands out of the backfield, and is a solid play for those in fantasy leagues which reward points per reception (PPR).

|Patriots | New England fixed on upgrading backfield|
Sun, 28 Feb 2016 13:21:31 -0800
Impending free-agent RBs Chris Ivory (Jets), Matt Forte (Bears), Alfred Morris (Redskins) and Joique Bell (Lions) are among the veterans on the radar of the New England Patriots, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: The Patriots would do well to upgrade from LeGarrette Blount and each of the aforementioned names - outside of Bell - would provide that. Ivory is perhaps the most intriguing option in that he is an early-down thumper that would be a great complement to dynamic passing-down back Dion Lewis. If Ivory joins New England, he could be a solid RB2 option in most leagues.

|Lions | Joique Bell turned down pay cut|
Sun, 21 Feb 2016 18:11:29 -0800
Free-agent RB Joique Bell (Lions) declined a pay cut that would have allowed him to remain with the Detroit Lions in 2016. "The Lions made me an offer," Bell said Saturday, Feb. 20. "I thought I did what was best for my career. I ended up declining the offer."
Fantasy Tip: Bell could catch on with another team, but given his recent health issues and declining production, he isn't likely to be relevant in fantasy leagues.

|Lions | Joique Bell cut|
Tue, 16 Feb 2016 14:25:00 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Bell had fallen out of favor thanks to the excellent season by Theo Riddick, mainly in a pass-catching role out of the backfield. Detroit figures to use Ameer Abdullah as their main running back in 2016, but Riddick will now have a larger role and will command a lot of attention from fantasy owners, especially in point-per-reception leagues.

|Lions | Joique Bell could be cut|
Tue, 16 Feb 2016 11:35:17 -0800
Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell is in the second year of a three-year, $9.3 million deal and is slated to earn $2.5 million in base salary in 2016 and count $3.5 million against the salary cap. Detroit would save $2.5 million by releasing him, and it's a real possibility given the fact that Bell is about to turn 30 years old and has struggled to stay healthy.
Fantasy Tip: Bell only had 90 carries for 311 yards (3.5 yards per carry) and four touchdowns for the Lions in 2015. Ameer Abdullah will be the primary back next year, and Theo Riddick's emergence as the pass-catching option leaves little room for Bell to produce. If he stays in Detroit, he's likely to see his role decrease further.

|Lions | Theo Riddick could have bigger role|
Tue, 16 Feb 2016 11:34:02 -0800
Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick, who led all running backs in catches last year after starting fourth on Detroit's depth chart, could be in line for a much bigger role in 2016. Riddick played most of the year behind RBs Joique Bell and Ameer Abdullah, too. Former NFL RB Marshall Faulk indicated Bell likely played more because he was being paid more. Riddick will likely be headed toward a bigger role next year regardless of what happens with Bell's contract.
Fantasy Tip: Riddick will look very intriguing as Detroit's second back if they decide to cut Bell this offseason. But either way, Riddick has tons of potential and value, especially in point-per-reception formats in Jim Bob Cooter's offense.

|Lions | Joique Bell feeling good into offseason|
Mon, 25 Jan 2016 19:14:42 -0800
Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell said Monday, Jan. 25, that he is primed for a rebound in 2016, as he feels healthier entering the offseason than he has in year. "Going into my third year, I had a pretty good season. I feel probably just as good now as I felt then. So I really have an offseason when I can train the way I want to train and get after it," Bell said.
Fantasy Tip: Bell managed just 311 yards on 90 carries, losing his starting job to rookie Ameer Abdullah midway through the season. Abdullah is back, and Theo Riddick emerged as a dependable pass catcher out of the backfield, so while Bell might be 100 percent heading into 2016, he will have some stiff competition for touches, not to mention Zach Zenner will also be back in the mix.
