Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (knee) missed organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp while recovering from a knee injury, but he looked good cutting and accelerating with ease during team portions of practice Wednesday, July 30.
Fantasy Tip: A healthy Bell appears to be slotted behind starter Reggie Bush for the primary job, so he should get his fair share of touches. He is a decent low-end RB2 or flex option, especially in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). Bell needs to stay healthy to hold off a charge from sleeper Theo Riddick and holdover Mikel Leshoure, among others.

Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure is currently believed to be the fourth tailback on the club behind RBs Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Theo Riddick heading into training camp and the preseason, but general manager Martin Mayhew expects Leshoure to compete for snaps. The team will use an offense similar to the New Orleans Saints, and they occasionally used a fourth tailback.
Fantasy Tip: Leshoure has tumbled down the depth chart due to a rash of his own injuries, and the production of others while he was off the field. He appears to be in the plans still, but ever so slightly. From a fantasy perspective, he should be avoided on draft day unless injuries to others dramatically alter things during training camp and the preseason.

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (nee) missed most of the offseason due to a knee injury, although he has said his condition is minor and he expects to be ready for the start of training camp next week.
Fantasy Tip: Bell gives the team one of the best 1-2 punches in the league with Reggie Bush. The duo became the first teammates in franchise history to join the 500/500 (rushing yards) club in the same season. Bell is a worth a look as a low-end RB2 flex fantasy option in most formats, with slightly more value in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR).

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (knee) said he is back to running at full speed and is feeling fully healthy. "I'm making a lot of progress, a lot of progress," Bell said. "Actually started back running full speed, got cleared for full go probably two weeks, a week after minicamp. I'm feeling 100%. I'm feeling great."
Fantasy Tip: This is great news for Bell as all signs now point for him to be ready for the start of training camp. Bell is a low-end RB2 in standard leagues.

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (knee) said he should be ready for training camp in late July. Bell hasn't participated in any of the team's organized team activities thus far.
Fantasy Tip: Bell really broke out as Reggie Bush’s “handcuff” last season. When healthy, Bell has top-20 running back potential, especially if he repeats his role as touchdown vulture. Keep tabs on Bell throughout the off season, but if he’s good to go for the start of the season, he is a low-end RB2 option in standard leagues.

Thu, 22 May 2014 09:26:11 -0700
Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (knee) didn't work out during organized team activities Wednesday, May 21, but he said he's not very concerned that it's a long-term injury. Bell was seen with "just an ice wrap" on his left knee Wednesday. He won't say whether he had the knee drained. "Just (a) nagging injury," Bell said. "Something just nagging, nothing that will prevent me (from playing). I had it all last season, so you guys didn't even really notice. But it's something we just trying to get rid of before next season. So it's just being smart."
Fantasy Tip: This shouldn't affect Bell's fantasy value heading into the 2014 season unless the injury lingers through the summer.
