The Oakland Raiders would love to see OL Menelik Watson win a starting job and be healthy enough to keep it after their run-in with a failed physical by OL Rodger Saffold. However, if Auburn's Greg Robinson is still available when Oakland is on the clock with the fifth-overall pick in this year's draft, he would be very difficult to pass up.

St. Louis Rams OG Rodger Saffold said his shoulder is fine and that he was able to bench press 400 pounds a few weeks ago. He said the Oakland Raiders doctor told him he was fine after taking his physical but someone in the Raiders organization decided to void the deal.

Updating previous reports, St. Louis Rams OT Rodger Saffold signed a five-year, $31.7 million deal that includes $19.5 million guaranteed. Saffold can void the deal after three years.
Fantasy Tip: This deal is $10.8 million and $1.5 million guaranteed shy of the deal he agreed to with the Oakland Raiders.

According to a team source, Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis pulled the plug on the OT Rodger Saffold (shoulder) deal. Surgery would have meant Saffold could have been ready for training camp, but Davis said no to the deal.

The St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent OT Rodger Saffold (Rams) on a five-year deal. The financial terms were not disclosed. Saffold originally signed with the Oakland Raiders, but a disagreement about the his health of his shoulder led to a failed physical and voided contract.
