Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones (wrist) had surgery to fix his dislocated wrist Tuesday, Sept. 23, and he'll miss at least eight weeks. LB Arthur Moats is expected to start in place of Jones, and LB James Harrison will become the main backup at outside linebacker.

The Buffalo Bills coaching staff informed LB Arthur Moats that he would play outside linebacker in Week 5, and he said he is more comfortable there than playing inside. "I like the versatility aspect (knowing both positions)," Moats said, "but mentally, it is a little tougher having to play both. Inside, it's more of a thinking game, where outside everything is more physical, it's happening faster." The team is tied for last in the NFL with five sacks. Moats has 2.5 sacks in four starts last season.

The Buffalo Bills used LB Arthur Moats as a designated pass rusher during their Week 8 game, and head coach Chan Gailey said he liked how Moats played during the game, reports Mark Gaughan, of The Buffalo News. "I think his quickness is really good. I think he'll get better with experience every time he walks on the field. But he's like the Energizer Bunny, he just keeps going and staying after it. You get a guy that can keep going like that, he'll get better," Gailey said.
