Patriots | New England adding Clay Harbor

Wed, 30 Mar 2016 15:00:40 -0700

Free-agent TE Clay Harbor (Jaguars) agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with the New England Patriots Wednesday, March 30, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Harbor did little in Jacksonville to warrant fantasy relevance and will be playing behind Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett. He remains avoidable in all formats.

Patriots | James Starks visiting Pats

Thu, 10 Mar 2016 12:52:23 -0800

Free-agent RB James Starks (Packers) and TE Clay Harbor (Jaguars) are both visiting the New England Patriots Thursday, March 10.

Fantasy Tip: The Pats definitely need to upgrade their running back with both LeGarrette Blount and Steven Jackson likely on their way out. Starks could fit the bill as an RB2 if he's given the lion's share of the workload in New England, but given the way the Patriots typically distribute touches in their backfield, he'd probably be safer as your third back. Harbor would strictly be tight end blocking depth and doesn't deserve attention in fantasy.

Jaguars | Clay Harbor to have bigger role

Tue, 01 Sep 2015 17:27:02 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Clay Harbor will take on a bigger role in the offense with TE Julius Thomas (finger) set to miss up to a month of action to start the year.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas could be out up until around Week 4, so Harbor could see more looks to begin the season. Still, he's nothing more than a low-end TE2, and he'll likely go back to a backup role whenever Thomas is healthy.

Jaguars | Clay Harbor likely to be No. 2

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 19:43:12 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (calf) missed most of organized team activities (OTAs) due to a calf injury. He is projected to be the front-runner to serve as backup to TE Julius Thomas.

Fantasy Tip: Harbor could re-emerge as a viable fantasy option, but he will need an injury to Thomas to see significant reps.

Jaguars | Clay Harbor expects to be at TC

Thu, 18 Jun 2015 18:14:26 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (calf) said Thursday, June 18, he expects to be ready for the opening of training camp July 31. Harbor said he could probably play if there was a game this coming Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: Harbor is the second 'move' tight end in the Jaguars' offense, behind Julius Thomas. Harbor won't be an option for fantasy drafts, but he could be a nice FantasyScore play, if Thomas misses any time due to injury this season.
