Colorado Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez is not in the lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks left-handed SP Patrick Corbin for the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday, Sept. 1. OF Kyle Parker is starting in right field and hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Parker ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) won't be available on FantasyScore for the first game of this doubleheader, so you can pay no attention to him.

Rockies | Charlie Blackmon sitting vs. Pirates

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 12:50:45 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon is not in the starting lineup Friday, Aug. 28. OF Kyle Parker draws into the lineup and is batting seventh against SP Francisco Liriano Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Blackmon ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He hasn't been at his best of late with just 10 runs, six RBI and six stolen bases in August. Parker ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) should be viewed as nothing more than a low-priced flier at FantasyScore Friday. He faces a tough lefty, and he has an uninspiring .200/.236/.318 slash line over 40 games in his career.

Rockies | No Charlie Blackmon vs. Nats

Tue, 18 Aug 2015 14:21:21 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, Aug. 18. OF Brandon Barnes is starting in center field and batting eighth, and OF Kyle Parker is starting in left field and batting seventh against Washington Nationals SP Jordan Zimmermann Tuesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Blackmon ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) in all fantasy formats Tuesday. Over the past two weeks he sports an uninspiring .190/.227/.262 slash line with just two runs and no RBI. With the game being played at Coors Field, Parker ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) and Barnes ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) are worthy low-priced fliers at FantasyScore.

Rockies | Ben Paulsen draws out of the lineup

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 12:34:27 -0700

Colorado Rockies 1B Ben Paulsen is not in the starting lineup Monday, Aug. 10. OF Kyle Parker is starting at first base and batting fifth against New York Mets SP Jon Niese Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Paulsen ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) hasn't been playing often against lefties this season, as he has done most of his damage against right-handed hurlers (.887 OPS over 212 plate appearances). Parker ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) posted 58 RBI over 388 plate appearances with Class AAA Albuquerque before being recalled to the Rockies but is just 6-for-27 in the majors. He is nothing more than a low-priced flier for FantasyScore players Monday.

Rockies | Kyle Parker stays in lineup

Mon, 03 Aug 2015 15:31:21 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Kyle Parker will start for the second straight day Monday, Aug. 3, against the Seattle Mariners. Parker will start in left field and hit eighth in the order against RHP Felix Hernandez.

Fantasy Tip: Parker went 0-for-3 with a walk Sunday, but his only major league hit came back on June 10, in his first ever at-bat. Parker won't be an option Monday, but FantasyScore owners should be monitoring his playing time as the upside will be there once he adjusts.

Colorado Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez is not in the starting lineup Sunday, Aug. 2, against the St. Louis Cardinals. OF Kyle Parker is in left field and OF Brandon Barnes is in right, while OF Charlie Blackmon covers center.

Rockies | Corey Dickerson activated

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 12:41:03 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Corey Dickerson (foot) was activated from the disabled list Thursday, June 11, and OF Kyle Parker was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Dickerson ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is starting Thursday and hitting sixth against Miami Marlins starter David Phelps tonight. He was hitting .306 (34-for-111) with five home runs and 16 RBI before landing on the DL. It wouldn't be crazy to start Dickerson on FantasyScore in his first game back, especially since many may not realize he's even back from injury yet.

Rockies | Kyle Parker being brought up

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 14:53:41 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Kyle Parker is being brought up from the minors Tuesday, June 9.

Fantasy Tip: Parker, the team's No. 13 ranked prospect per MLB.com, hit only .192 (5-for-26) with an RBI in limited action last year. He was hitting .275 (55-for-200) with seven home runs and 33 RBI for Class AAA Albuquerque before the call-up, and he's reached 20 homers three times in the minors. That kind of power in an everyday role at hitter-friendly Coors Field will interest fantasy owners. Now it's just a matter of finding at-bats at the major league level.
