Marlins | Alex Sanabia has minor groin issue

Wed, 08 May 2013 13:07:06 -0700

Miami Marlins SP Alex Sanabia (groin) dealt with a minor groin issue during his start against the San Diego Padres Tuesday, May 7, but after tests, he said he is fine. Sanabia was on the disabled list in the minors for a right groin strain last season. Manager Mike Redmond said the team will give Sanabia extra rest before his next start if it's needed.

Fantasy Tip: As with any other pitcher on the Marlins roster, Sanabia will find it difficult to pick up wins this season. He's not much of a strikeout pitcher, either, so he doesn't offer up much other than innings. Leave him for NL-only leagues, at best.
